Great traditional pub very friendly staff good food definately worth a visit

The ONLY thing that ever lets this place down is the toilets. The stench in both toilets every single time is stomach churning, noattwd what time of day. Seriously in need of (working or stronger) air freshner things in there. 🤢🤢🤢

No notice of not getting the food I ordered until my delivery arrived. Would have been nice to have known in advance or be offered an alternative.

Been using this bar for a while,always get great service from all the bar staff especially Layla who always has a smile when we come in… I would happily recommend this pub as it has a happy atmosphere and is a very nice place for a drink and a catch up with friends

I asked for my focaccia to be put in the oven and not toasted. I double checked with the man and we raised his voice and said “YES, IS IT!” He put the food in as a toastie which squished the focaccia and it won’t be a soft hot bread. I’ve never had a toastie focaccia. It has always come heated from the oven!

As a Tesco Club member fora few years now we are becoming increasingly concerned as to how this branch in Fareham is changing especially it's ridiculous prices. S o much so we now go when we can to Asda! However today we were forced to use our Tesco branch for other reasons. We were even more horrified that not only were many shelves empty but prices were crazy, how about OVER £1.50 For ONE stick of Rhubarb what idiot would pay that. ONE POTATO 50p they are taking us for mugs

I will not be visiting this cafe again as the staff have been quite miserable during my last few visits. They have no manners when serving and in fact are quite surly. I never hear one or them say please or thank you and when customers try to engage in pleasant conversation the staff make it clear they don’t want to bother interacting with them. They gave the impression they did not want to be there or have the inconvenience of serving me. I emailed the manager about the attitude of the staff. His response to me was very rude stating: “The staff are here to serve, they are not entertainers.” Whilst I replied that I didn’t expect them to be entertainers but I do expect good manner he did not seem to be the least bit concerned about their rudeness.

Me and my boyf went there for a lunch date, and I, being vegan, asked for a plain jacket potato with avocado on top. The avocado wasn't as ripe as I'd like it, but the jacket was amazing and soft and moist enough without needing butter! The boyf had chilli con carne on his jacket and said it was lovely. He paid extra to have cheese on his. I got a Mediterranean salad on the side and it felt like we were on holiday when sitting outside the cafe!

Having completed our food shopping in store, we opted for a quick drink in the cafe before meeting friends. There was only one person behind the counter, taking orders and making the drinks and taking payment. Service was very slow. One customer in front of us complained and another asked if they were busy and were told they were very quiet which was difficult to believe based on the slow service. Drinks were fine, but only had a tea and coffee, although food on display did not look overly appetizing.

Chicken strips nice. Chips and nuggets pretty average
