We were greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile from Grace. We had an amazing coffee - the best we had for a long time. Grace was so kind, offered us a lovely biscuit and when discussing ice creams offered us a taste of an amazing pistachio flavour one. The place was spotless and so welcoming and we will make it our destination for our next visit to Whitstable. Grace is a great ambassador for this establishment and made our day. Thank you for your service and for making us feel so welcome. 10/10*

Lovely cosy cafe with friendly staff. The HLT (Halloumi Lettuce and Tomato) was delicious and the coffee was great. Highly recommend it.

This place has been a favourite of ours for many many years but after the last few visits there was much left to be desired! The charm was lost alongside quality and quantity of food. A member of staff appeared openly stressed, a little too abrupt and condescending for my liking which added to our already disappointing experience. For a start, charging £13 for one measly scollop is taking the biscuit rather, especially when only accompanied by a few overcooked crumbs. None of my party appeared to have a great deal of food on their plates, after struggling to choose a meal from the underwhelming menu. We regularly visit many of whitstable’s charming restaurants but this one has left us feeling rather robbed! We are happy to pay over £400 if well deserved but unfortunately it just wasn’t justified. Drinks were forgotten despite being asked for twice and not very accommodating for children, despite having a kids menu. That didn’t even include a pudding or sides I might add. We did however, have two bottles of wine but one of which should not be on the menu. I think this one is firmly scratched off the list unless I hear of much change. Shame.

Lovely evening, food was very good, hot and tasty. Great service, too. My only issue was that I think the menu was slightly overpriced. However, I am aware of the pressure on pubs with rising food and labour costs. Whitstable is an expensive place to eat.
