Absolutely lovely pub, good range of CAMRA ales available, tried a couple of them. Atmosphere is very good and friendly.

It was very quiet when we went in here, but the service and the pizza were great 😃

This visit was for a wake, we had 15 people booked in and ordered the silver package and a glass of prosecco for each person on arrival. A section of the dinning area was laid out for us with a table set up for the food, it was a nice quiet area, well maintained and comfortable. It was very clean with plenty of room for us. The food came out once everyone was there and it was delicious, it was fresh, hot and well laid out. There was a nice variety and something for everyone, there was enough food for the amount of guests we had, some guests even had another helping! The staff were friendly and were there if needed. All in all everything went very well, a lovely pub, great food and great staff, I will definitely be back for a meal out, thank you.

Well the quality of food today was far from what was expected from since the last time we had breakfast here. Used to be able to get table service now it was order art the bar. Great outside setting but only two tables taken today at 10am to 11am in the lovely sun shine which usually used to be full of customers and hard to get a table.- I WONDER WHY! Smoothy machine broken with no back up and the meals served were not hot though the mature Spanish server was excellent. A table to the side of us returned their full English as it was cold. My brioche bun had burnt edges and was dry, served with no butter, with a small lonely single sausage which was cut in half and was lost in the roll. At least use a quality sausage and a reasonable size if only serving one sausage for £7.50. Unfortunately we will remove The Royal Foresters from our favourites breakfast list as the quality is not as expected and there are several better other local offerings.

Just had an incredible experience. The cocktails were absolutely spot on, and the vibe was the perfect mix of chill and fun – I could have easily stayed all day. Our server, Purva, was super friendly and really made the afternoon special. Everything from the drinks to the service was top-notch, making it an unforgettable experience! Can’t wait to come back for more!

Coffee was lovely but I won't be back as they don't accept cash! Silly having to use a card for a coffee! Plenty of lovely Coffee places in Brighton who happily accept cash.

Excellent pub at the epicentre of the sailing world.
