Goodness gracious me. where do i begin? The only thing more stale than the bread here is the creativity in the kitchen. I’ve had frozen meals that were more exciting. no seriously, eating here was like a culinary game of hide and seek except the good service was hiding, and it never showed up. Personally it wasn't for me im afraid.

Staff were nice, food was average at best. Scampi and the chips were nicely cooked. Peas were like bullets. Steak and kidney pudding was like Fray Bentos but worse. Very small portions. Went home and had some toast! Only went due to work ongoing in the kitchen at home. Should have paid a little more and gone somewhere nice.

Lovely venue very quick service , food was good

Went here for breakfast on Sunday 13th at 9am. Unusually food got cold rapidly and it was thought that cold air coming down onto our table from overhead vents. It was mentioned to the serving staff and was received with a smile and a shrug of the shoulders. Couldn't move because we were a group of 7 and nothing was available without having to go up some stairs which my wife would have a problem with. I will say it was unusual and the speed of the service was A1 my food nearly got to the table before me. 🫤👎💂‍♂️

My husband and I visited this place for the first time and we liked both the food and the service. I recommend everyone to visit 👍👌🍨🍽🥞🍹😉🙂

This building has been sympathetically and imaginatively themed according to its previous use (an old cinema). The decor is in good condition. Three main 'areas' (with 'sub-areas') - bar seating, indoor restaurant seating, and outdoor roof garden seating. The roof garden is lovely, especially in warm weather, and is sheltered from any wind. Food prices are very reasonable, with drinks being competitively priced too. Table app ordering (and payment) is quick, easy, and efficient. An overall enjoyable experience was had by the whole party. Usually, it's not too bad mid-week, but Friday evening and weekends can get very busy. Food is excellent value for money together with great quality and taste. Menu food selection is not extensive but certainly covers enough bases to have something for everyone. There is often a log fire at the 'top end' in the colder months.

Clean toilets. Service is good and you can get a nice meal with a drink.

Going down as one of my favourite Wetherspoons. Fantastic building with amazing decor and loads of available seating. Obviously it's a converted cinema but what a transformation. Wish we had eaten here as the food looked really good. Staff were really well dressed and gave the place an air of elegance. Definitely one to come back to.

You can't complain really at the cost or speed of service as that's always super cheap and delivered quickly. The only things are the tiny packets of oatmilk with the coffee. You need about 10! And also it was so dimly lit when you sat in the centre seats of the dining area. It was like sitting in the dark. Don't get me wrong I like dim and moody but that was dark!

Had a burger and chips, very small, not like I expected. More like a small burger from Macdonald's, needed to buy something else after that.

I love the atmosphere of this place, the food is a good price

Great place to enjoy a beer, a glass of wine or a meal chosen from the menu or a la carte, there is room and also a terrace! The prices are moderate and the staff friendly!

Good there is so much choice...just wish they had made the writing bigger on the menue so you would take that choice in more easily. Good it's so cheap...just wish I could work out the deals...again would help if writing bigger on menue. I consoled myself I could ask the bar tender. The one we saw for the dessert was so unhelpful. I asked if the chocolate sauce was vegan...could not see the sign by it on the menue clearly enough...most shockingly to me she said she was not allowed to say and referred to some larger menue on the wall across the room! I got my camera out and enlarged the menue. ... it was vegan...why couldn't she just say!? I asked if there was oat milk by the coffee...and was told it was in sachets. I could not find those sachets...asked again and it was behind the bar! The food was acceptable. Mum had a sirloin steak...not tender enough she thought. She made up a dessert for herself from banana, custard and vanilla icecream...I had the coconut icecream and vegan chocolate sauce all for under £5! Was access friendly. Would I go back...not my first choice...would rather support a local sole trader in Bexhill. And as someone else here has said...could probably get better food for not much more.

Been here a few times now when we visit our friends ,it’s absolutely amazing friendly staff from ordering to sitting the food and drinks arrive super fast fresh and hot ,the place is absolutely decked out amazingly,toilets are super clean ,I would recommend anyone to come here for a comfortable quality no stress meal and very cheap compared to others ,,and would like to thank the chefs and staff for there amazing service,5 🌟

Exceptional conversion of art deco cinema with stunning roof terrace. Amazed to get quality meal at 10:45pm (after concert at De La Warr Pavillion) when most other places shut. Thanks to all the staff here.

Cant fault wetherspoons for the service and food it's pretty consistent regardless of which one you visit!

Wetherspoons Facilities, Bars, Good Food and Outside Terrace Eating. Food very reasonable in these difficult times with rising prices with all sectors of food and drink. 🙏👍😷 🚻 Toilets on 1st Floor. Disabled Toilet on ground floor, easy access. 🤫 Very polite bar and waiting staff. 😁Lift from ground floor to the first floor, for the toilets. Prices reasonable despite inflation, but slightly smaller portions!! Breakfast is served 8am to 12.00 noon. Afternoon special deals available. Refills free on hot drinks with the mug supplied. Parking & Disabled Parking outside. 👍

Just wished they had music in the background, or perhaps even a little dance floor or just an area where music was allowed.

Just had my first breakfast here today , there won't be another visit ! Bacon tasted burnt and dry , egg was hard , latte was warm , so I went for hot chocolate, only milk and water came out ! I left it all and went tojempsons for a hot sausage, much better , The girl behind the bar looked miserable , so I won't be going there again!

Today, the 2nd of September, I was there as I used to quite regularly within the last couple of months. I remained extremely disappointed by the halloumi wrap (a third of which was containing air) and the onion rings (tasteless as apparantely were prepared in the microwave). I'm sorry to say but not planning to go back there.

Lovely building, decent beer and not bad prices. Bit annoying that the disabled community have let themselves into the toilet twice now when I’ve been changing my baby, maybe it’s an issue with the lock on the door? Also, the disabled wc come baby change was disgustingly dirty

Prices for food and drink much lower than local pubs and restaurants great value.

Breakfast was luke warm at best arrived at 8am as that's when they open could not do any fried eggs as the grill was not hot enough?? Would have thought they could have switched it on 5 minutes before opening time, the rest of the breakfast sausages looked like yesterday's, beans luke warm....not a good experience for usually good food.

On 2 levels....well laid out.....service friendly and food came within 15 minutes of ordering.

Very big pub, typical wetherspoons style and atmosphere. Rooftop garden with wheelchair lift impressed me. Our food was really good, bigger portions than I'm used to at wetherspoons, beer was yummy.

As others have said, we had breakfast today, it was tasty but barely warm, why can’t these places serve hot food it’s like it’s been served up and left before they bring it out, good value and bottomless hot drinks is great but I can to a cafe which serves hot food and the price isn’t that much higher and use better quality ingredients, they need to up their game here in my opinion.

Visited whetherspoons just for an evening out and cheap birthday celebration after a day at work. Finished our meal and my partner just popped to the bathroom before we ordered a couple drinks, a security guard came over with a staff member saying that they’re just doing random searches. My partner who is South Asian was obliging and went with the security guard, I asked the staff member why are they calling him over bearing in mind he’s the only South Asian guy there. The member of staff said that someone had said they saw someone wearing a white shirt with a black cross body bag taking coke in the bathroom. I then went over to them on to find they are doing a pat down at the front of the restaurant in front of the whole bar. I brought up to them how this is extremely unprofessional and that they have made a scene without making the process discrete. Honestly speaking they should have called the police to deal with something like this rather than themselves. Of course there was nothing to find. From my partners view they had told him that someone saw him handing out coke, they had no straight explanation as to why they wanted to do this search. I said to them that there was a racial intension behind this whether it was from the person who supposedly had reported him or the from the members of staff. It is not the first time we have had to deal with racial discrimination, despite them saying they had spoken to him nicely, I believe that no one would feel comfortable being searched in front of a restaurant, we didn’t receive an apology after they realised it was a false claim. I will be taking this further but I wanted to leave this review so people are aware of what has happened and the unprofessional behaviour displayed by the staff and security.

Good food service normally good but when ordering on it took nearly 30 minutes to receive drinks during last visit

Three tiered Wetherspoons in Bexhill town. Lift up to lovely sunny roof terrace. Free coffee top up 39p for lime and soda (pint!). Not eaten here yet but saw plenty of people tucking into good old English breakfast. The place is huge and always busy. The spoons in this town is brilliant!

This is a really good spoons, a lot bigger than it looks. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The service is quick and efficient. I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans which went down a treat. Overall a very pleasant visit.

This is a lovely spoons a short walk from the Bexhill station. I thought it was much bigger on the inside but didn't notice the scaffolding out the front until I left - but it is a sizeable pub. Anyway, quite a nice pub with outdoor seating upstairs that you can use a lift to access. In fact I would have to say this is quite a wheelchair friendly place with ramps throughout as well as the lift. As usual, the staff were lovely and the Guinness was excellent.

It's quite a beautiful, very large space (a former cinema). Very high ceiling in one part. Therefore a bit echoey and loud, it was extremely busy and I thought "we'll be waiting ages". I couldn't be more wrong. We ordered via the app, the table was cleared and wiped before we knew it, the drinks arrived within a few minutes and the food arrived within 10 minutes!! Couldn't believe it, a very well oiled machine. Staff was very good and friendly. I had sirloin steak with chips on the side and a side dish of roasted vegetables.. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender but they obviously use some sort of flavouring they put on, as my father-in-law agreed, 'the steak doesn't speak for itself', it was too overpowering. The veg were a small amount of roast peppers, onions and courgette (don't bother), I wished I had ordered the side salad. Ice cream with choc sauce was perfect. Everybody else in our party seemed happy with their food, hubby liked his burger, it all looked good and was hot. And in this day and age, good prices!! You can actually get a meal under ten pounds! Well done Whetherspoons.

One hot drink machine was down causing a huge queue for hot drinks. A couple of extra plates of our food did not arrive when I went to ask for it, the food was on the side waiting to be delivered while two members of staff were chatting while one was lazily wiping down a table.

Good value meals and service was quick considering how busy it was. My only niggle was flights of stairs to toilets, not easy for elderly.

Went on Thursday (curry night), ordered on app, food cooked perfectly, and came quickly. Never had a bad meal here, always happy to visit, recommended.

Stopped in for breakfast as we were in Bexhill, unfortunately the power in the kitchen went out just as we arrived due to an electrician working. However, one of the managers came over to us an explained the slight delay. Within 15 minutes we had our food. The kitchen staff worked incredibly hard to get things back and running and so did our young waiter. Food was the nicest we have ever had in a Weatherspoons and the staff were fantastic.

One of the best spoons I’ve been to. Food is great quality and comes out fast. I can tell it hasn’t just been left under the heat lamp for ages. Fast and friendly service. Beautiful building, warm atmosphere and always clean. As someone that works at a wetherspoons in london, I can say that they definitely don’t cut corners here. The job is done well and the staff are lovely

We were in Bexhill for a week. What can I say, we went to the Picture Playhouse every night. We already knew it from earlier years before Corona and Brexit. It's great how you can order and pay via the app. Tips were declined. The selection of beers and food is huge. Cheap offers and also smaller portions. Everything tasted great!

It's a Spoons, good basic food and drink at great prices.

Typical Wetherspoons, beautiful old building saved from the developers / demolition and sympathetically restored to make an interesting place to enjoy some refreshments. Great value food and drink, as always in these establishments. This one in particular, benefiting from an outside rooftop beer garden .

Will always be the ultimate Spoons venue. Great service and plenty of seating as well as the rooftop terrace. Was gutted I missed the free pizza promotion when it first opened in 2017. Ah well. They have a quiz too always a laugh. Met many a close friend and a life partner there.

I love this pub I've been here countless time I love the staff they are amazing the food I'd always prepared and comes out within 5 minutes. The toilets are fabulous always clean and tidy. They also have a lovely outside area. I've made soo many memories in this pub it never Disappoints.

Must have been in 100 since 1994 & this one easily fits into the top ten. Very well done! Hopefully at some stage they can do similar in an old Herne bay cinema as our Saxon Shore has surely come to the end of its run? Or the crumbling bandstand? Anyway, I digress. This place is top notch!

Number 1 'spoons in Sussex. Usual fair cooked well and served politely and always with a smile.

Didn't have food this time but sun was shining and the beer was cold, so all good.

Haven't been in for a long time possibly back to 2017/2018. Past experience food was great, service good and a good atmosphere.

What has happened to the bacon it now tastes burnt/ like charcoal. It leaves such an awful taste in the mouth which has put me off ordering breakfast anymore!!

Great atmosphere. One of the nicest Weatherspoons visited recently. Friendly staff and kept tables clean and tidy.

Unfortunately I have to leave at leave one star to be able to write a review.... One to many in my opinion staff very unprofessional and very rude don't even try to play the wetherspoons game here because it will be instantly stopped by staff with no explanation then asking why they will try to ban you and ignore you like you literally don't exist again for no reason at all I would not recommend this place to anyone that wants a nice meal a few drinks with friends and a laugh... Worst place I've ever been and I'm not exaggerating hope this helps thanks.

One of the nicest spoons I've visited

Excellent place for a drink , I was really impressed of how they have done it out inside. And the roof top garden beautiful. I wished I took photos of the garden and inside . But I did of the toilets 😂. Couldn't believe how nice they were. Lovely place and will try the food 1 day.

Me & the missus pulled into this place for a pre-gig dinner… fill our tums up before a long night at the De la Warr, no fuss food, or silly advance booking- Wetherspoon can be a bit ‘take-it-as-you-find-it’ , especially our local Tunbridge Wells branch, which frankly , is rubbish . What a pleasant surprise this one was- the staff, the service, the food was superb ( steak Tuesday- so we had that … really well cooked, and delivered in a short time. Efficient management were present- so everything seemed to be how it should be .

Al fresco lunch in April on the roof garden which Is decked out in a modern soft woody toned style . The floor is covered with large wood tiles in a contrasting checkered style, potted palm trees and flowering plants well tended. The whole roof area is covered in netting to keep birds away. Festoons of hanging lights globe light A small seated covered smoking area is set apart. Parasols for the tables which I recon seats over 200. The seats a strong mesh plastic and shaped to aid comfortability. Ordered food and drink from the ground floor bar. Service very friendly efficient and fast. Including table clearance. Main brand condiments available. Food was tasty and hot. Very good value. Curry and a pint of lager/beer. £11.35. There is also a lift to the first floor terrace. Very large and exceptionally well kitted out gent. - very clean in pristine condition just along a corridor.

Cosy booths and fireplace inside, beautiful art deco bar and sunny rooftop outside, this branch has a bit of everything alongside the usual convenience and decent service you expect. I really try to avoid Wetherspoons but the Bexhill one is a bit of a magnet and a guilty pleasure...!

Since this spoons is extremely popular with the local area it is extremely busy between 6pm and 8pm. So is very noisy....

Called in here for brunch today and was surprised by the fact that the food we ordered at the bar had reached the table by the time we sat down. Although it was quite tasty it was almost stone cold so had obviously been sitting at the counter for more than a few minutes beforehand. A shame as it had been quite well prepared otherwise.

3 if us went on a Saturday lunchtime. It was packed but we got seats and chose our meals thinking we would have to wait ages, but, less than 1/4 hr later our meals were brought to us. Same with our puddings. You have to order at the bar but they have plenty if staff so did not wait more than a couple of minutes. We all said how nice the food was, would definitely go again

Potions a little small on dome meals

Barmaid was rude! Manager was unhelpful! Receipt said “Hugh.” Don’t know the try hard waitresses name who looked 12 but ID’d people that looked older than her!

Just went in for a pint, staff were friendly and very helpful. Did notice the beers cost more here than in Hastings witherspoons

Been here once before. Went for lunch with my wife. Very nice food which didn't taste processed. Really helpful staff, self service tea and coffee machines, credit and debit cards accepted, very spacious, not stuffy or claustrophobic. Very reasonable prices too.
