The place looks amazing since the renovation and the service was fantastic.

My daughter and I came along for the charity quiz night on the 16/05/2025. On arrival we got a lovely welcome from the owners. We decided to try the new tapas and cocktail menu and we were not disappointed. The food and cocktails were delicious, the staff and service were excellent. The quiz itself was fun and it is lovely that pudding and pie are supporting local charities, will definitely come back again and we can’t wait for the next charity quiz night. This is our Sunday morning treat. A small friendly restaurant and always a worm welcome ,we’re creatures of habit and all ways enjoy a pebble English breakfast with a pot of tea , a great way to start Sunday morning .

Sándwiches muy frescos y sabrosos, generosamente rellenos. Servicio agradable y eficiente. Mesas bien espaciadas, todas muy limpias y de buena calidad.

It's not expensive and the food was simply just OK. Basic stuff on the menu that was adequate and served a purpose of satisfying hunger. Prompt, friendly service but we were the only ones there. The interior is shabby, scruffy and tired looking and not as clean as it could be. In a handy location but a low-level transport cafe standard. Not my kind of place. Won't go there again.

Great food in lovely location next to a river. Dog friendly. With cute little shop too selling local products and food to take away.

We were visiting my sister and decided to take her out for Sunday Lunch. The meals were very reasonably priced on the Sunday Specials menu at £7.99 for a roast with beef or turkey. It was only £11.99 though for two meals, but they were only serving the beef so we had thick slices of beef which was very tender. It was served on a large plate with a variety of different items and the only fault was the veg which had obviously been frozen, the peas were OK but the runner beans and broccoli were very soggy but we forgave them for that because of the quality of all the other food! My sister, who hasn't a big appetite, enjoyed a Hot Roast Beef Roll, slices of beef inside a large bread roll served with roast potatoes and a jug of gravy for £5.99. Staff were pleasant and service good.

Popped in for a girly catch-up at lunchtime. We all ordered from the light bite menu and were pleasantly surprised at the great value and quality of the food. It was Excellent! The staff were very attentive and we didn’t have to wait long at all for our food. What an absolute diamond place in the village ❤️

Una experiencia realmente decepcionante. Lo único positivo de mi experiencia fue que el personal era amable, pero aparte de eso estaba muy decepcionado con la comida y el servicio. Fui con mi pareja a tomar un café y a desayunar tarde. La bebida de mis compañeros llegó primero después de una espera de alrededor de 20 minutos, pero mi café tardó casi una hora en llegar después de preguntar al camarero dos veces. La comida tardó alrededor de una hora y media en llegar después de que le dijeron que el tiempo de espera era de 30 minutos. El camarero dijo entonces, una vez que finalmente recibimos la comida, que obtendríamos un reembolso debido a la espera tanto para mi café como para nuestra comida, ya que tomó demasiado tiempo. Dijo que sería reembolsado directamente en mi cuenta, pero nunca recibí un reembolso, así que en general muy decepcionante. ¡Es un lugar encantador pero solo iría si estuvieras feliz esperando casi dos horas para un simple café y desayuno!

We were recommended to go to Lewisi's as the coffee and cake was very good, so we did. On arrival, we noticed that the menus were splashed with tea / coffee? stains, and looked as if they hadn't been wiped in a long time. We let that go. We decided what we wanted, and I went up to the counter. The server was attending to a lady, so I waited in line. As something to do, I was watching the server. While making up the lady's order, she wiped her nose on the back of her hand, and kept going with the order. She then needed /wanted something that was in a sink, 3/4 full of standing water. She took things out of the sink, then I saw her drying her hands on a cloth, not a towel, that was beside the sink. At that point, I decided that I'd seen enough, and we left. So, as good as the reviews are, I didn't get to try their coffee and cake, and I never will, as I won't be back.
