The Farmers Arms in Blackpool

We were visiting my sister and decided to take her out for Sunday Lunch. The meals were very reasonably priced on the Sunday Specials menu at £7.99 for a roast with beef or turkey. It was only £11.99 though for two meals, but they were only serving the beef so we had thick slices of beef which was very tender. It was served on a large plate with a variety of different items and the only fault was the veg which had obviously been frozen, the peas were OK but the runner beans and broccoli were very soggy but we forgave them for that because of the quality of all the other food! My sister, who hasn't a big appetite, enjoyed a Hot Roast Beef Roll, slices of beef inside a large bread roll served with roast potatoes and a jug of gravy for £5.99. Staff were pleasant and service good.

Avoid this place at all cost very unreliable booked a table 4 time's only to be told each time they were to busy to do food Avery noise and rowdy pub

10 of us descended on the Farmer's without warning, to find only one cook on duty! Although our food took 50 minutes to arrive, it was all served together and was really well cooked. We all enjoyed our meals - and it only cost us £58!

As a complete and utter pain in the arse customer with extremely high standards, I have to say the Singapore Skewers as a starter were excellent. My main was for a change Fillet Steak which was cooked to perfection and arrived at the table straight of the grill. The accomplishments were fresh, hot and very tasty. I highly recommend dining here. The service was exceptional from Adam and Scarlett. I will not hesitate to return..Thanks

My first time eating at the Farmers Arms, Blackpool. I have been before for drinks but never had a meal. I was with a senior so they chose, the Senior 2 course meal. Which may I add was excellent value for money! I had the steak and kidney pudding, chips and peas. The pudding was lovely and packed with filling. Excellent value for money! The staff were ery attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to Lynda who served our food, she was brilliant! Thanks again !! Will definitely return for food as well as drinks. Highly recommended x

Popped in for a quick drink and decided to get some food whilst I was there. Ordered the chick n mix which was really good. Would recommend this place. . Staff very friendly too.

Wow, thank you so much for a great evening (last night) the atmosphere was brilliant, the management and staff especially Rowan are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is so friendly…….this is the reason why we will keep coming back.

I'm not sure if we just caught the place on a bad day but service was terribly slow. Not the fault of the staff - there were only two of them and there was no way they could cope with the numbers. Had one drink and left fearing I'd have my next birthday before I got another beer.

Took the kids for a spot of tea. Great selection and excellent value for money with plenty of deals. Food arrived hot and well presented. Really tasty and clean plates all round. Great service to under current restrictions.

Arrived at 5pm tonight, hadn't booked. Pub was just comfortable numbers wise, tables available. All the staff were very efficient, on the ball when you required a drink. Great job girls, Sam, Gemm, Tamz,Nic and the stars behind the bar pouring drinks and cooking the food.

Went In for a meal and have fantastic welcoming especially from a lady called nicola and I have to say we felt so welcoming and once the covid is over we will be back. Well done to rest of the staff too

For a greene king pub this was bad, staff looked tired and miserable, we noticed there were more than six people to a table (8). kids running around while there parents drinking and the amount of people not using the hand sanitizer after coming back from smoking was unreal we honestly thought we were in the jockey pub from shameless

I’ve been a regular visitor to the Farmers for many years now and always found it very friendly with pleasant staff and a great place to meet friends. Since reopening in early July because of COVID-19, Nicola and her staff have gone the extra mile in providing a safe environment for their customers during this difficult time and strictly adhering to the guidelines provided by the brewery. The table service they provide is always prompt, professional and you can tell with a smile behind the mask. Family members and friends who l regularly book a table for through the App have all commented on how safe and comfortable they feel in The Farmers. Up until recently l have seldom ordered or eaten food here, but having tried a number of meals since reopening it has been very good and excellent value for money even without 'The eat out to help out offer'.

Visited a while ago now and wasn't Impressed, things have changed for the better, felt very safe with the rules in place and track and trace explained on entry. Shown to our table and the food was fantastic. Nicola, the manager, is fantastic and is a great improvement on the last one. Keep up the good work!!!

I have visited this pub many years ago and having run pubs myself I have to say what an impressive change to this venue with the new Manageress Nicola. Staff were courteous and very welcoming. Track and trace explained to us as we entered and shown to our table. Felt very safe. Great service, great food, great staff and Manageress. Will be back soon.

It pains me to write a negative review about our once loved local however since Peter (the previous landlord) left it has gone downhill.It used to cater for families and Peter did not tolerate anti-social behaviour or any swearing at any time in his pub.Unfortunately now swearing and anti-social behaviour from certain groups let the place down people are shouting and swearing at each other and this is no longer the family friendly pub it once was. This anti-social behaviour often goes unchallenged by management.Drinks and food are okay, atmosphere is terrible.

We've been coming to the pub every Monday night for the quiz and it's always a really good night! The staff are friendly, the service is quick and the place is really clean. You can tell they are being really covid savvy and we've felt really safe since they opened back up. We don't usually eat there but tonight we thought we'd pop in earlier for a bite to eat before the quiz started and I've got to say the food was great! My partner had the special burger which was green in aid of charity but despite looking unusual it was really tasty and cooked well. I had the mixed grill which was really big and my steak was cooked perfectly! Our order was taken by the manageress Nicola who took great care when I told her about my dietary needs. Although they are on a reduced menu for now, she made me feel like it was no trouble at all when I asked for alternatives and made me feel really comfortable. All the staff are always friendly and helpful and you can tell they are smiling even through their face masks. The price was great too. Just what we needed for a quick Monday tea. Will definitely be eating there again and will definitely be recommending to friends and family. Keep up the good work team! See you next Monday.

Well called in here for first pint since lockdown. Ordered at the outside table. Then was ask to go inside to pay at the bar.Also no one ask my name address or contact number for the track trace if there's a issue

Good food , reasonably priced . Would reccommend as a place to eat and drink in these uncertain times .

A little disorganized due to vivid . No good after eight pm and limited times in day I can accept this but need to be informed before . I have used in past and found very good maybe just teething problems

This used to be a great pub, when Peter was the manager, but now bad language, bad beer, all the old locals are complaining, its going down hill fast, needs a new manager.

Well it is a pub. Not the best pub sadly. I walked out after 10 mintes and left my grub, as some drug pusher was annoying me, and the foul mouth lot in the gardens need to respect there community more., as it is right on the main street. The owners don't care either.Would I go again ?... wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Needs closing down for good.The 'Dunes' pub, or the 'Balloon' at the Airport further down, are absolutely brilliant.Tip. If you walk past the pub, be careful, you might get a drink carton thrown at you by litter-louts.

Chose this place as my husband wanted to watch his team play an away game whilst we were visiting Blackpool. Atmosphere was good, plenty of seating and screens. We did not eat here because we were not hungry at the time but the menu looked good and from what we saw of other peoples orders the food looked nice and plentiful.

Called in at the farmers for a spot of lunch, ordered all day breakfast and ruddles pie with chips peas and gravy the order came fairly quickly, both were very nice, pleasant staff friendly, will be calling back again.

Been to the farmers and had a breakfast and few beers with friends. Have to say it was one of the best breakfasts. Service was top notch by Lynda who let's just say I could do with at my house .I had a pleasant young man called James serve me and was more than happy with his mannerisms. He was really polite and considering he was on his own was always smiling. I will say he seemed to have been missing a partner as the bar was busy but he managed to keep the que down with his professional attitude towards us all.

Do not visit her. Visited today with my mother in law and my 2 year old. We waited 40 minutes for our drinks. She didn’t make it clear wether I had to wait for them for they would bring them over, I did ask someone and I’m fact they are suppose to bring them over. We ordered our food at the same time as drinks and we were still waiting 15 minutes later after our drinks came. The customer service was awful, they completely ignored us. My 2 year old was watching nursery rhymes on my phone and one of the women behind the bar said to another customer “ I can’t even hear our f***ing music because of them nursery rhymes” I definitely didn’t have it on loud. She then turned their music up which blasted next to us. When our food finally arrived we had no cutlery and sat for a further 10 minutes and went up and got the cutlet our selves. The women behind the bar were rude. It was not busy at the time of us being at the restaurant and mostly drinkers in the place not eaters. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable by staff in my life. I will not be visiting again.

Recently, whilst on holiday in Blackpool with my wife, when walking out one evening in September, we happened on the Greene King Farmers Arms pub, which is situated on Lytham Road. As it was about 6.30pm and we were ready for our evening meal, we decided to venture in and were certainly not disappointed. The pub's atmosphere immediately struck us as being warm and friendly, and we settled down very comfortably among local folks who seemed to be enjoying their evening, We choose our meal and drinks and can only say that everything was first class in every way, including the amazing value.However, we wish particularly to mention the five star service we received from the staff. We were dealt with by Tyla supervising our meal throughout. I cannot praise this lass enough, as she could not have done more to make our visit such an enjoyable one. Also just a word thanking Nicola who was so courteous and obliging when bringing our food. Being so pleased with this experience, we visited again later in the week, after our son and girlfriend joined us in Blackpool. Once again a first class evening in every way. The young man who looked after us this time (I didn't catch his name, but he had dark hair and a beard) was also first class.Greene King should be proud of staff of this calibre, as unfortunately it is becoming much rarer to find such service when eating out in such places.We will definitely be visiting The Farmers Arms again when next on holiday in Blackpool.

I went here recently for a couple of sherberts and found it to be quite pleasant and welcoming. Clearly popular with those that live nearby, many people were having meals here which looked appetising and were served by efficient and attentive staff.

Lovely pub with excellent beer. We did not eat here but the food that we saw being served looked really nice

Called in at the farmers arms for a spot of lunch, ordered the all day breakfast, and the lasagna, they arrived fairly quickly, asked for brown sauce, and salad cream, the breakfast didn’t have any mushrooms on it, when we queried this, was told they didn’t have any, no sorry, or offer of extra chips or something, had to ask again for brown sauce, also for butter for the toast, both eggs were broken and hard, the lasagna was microwaved, a little to much, and the side salad was a few leaves, a table near us had issues as well, no chips and peas with their dinner, he did offer to go back and make some.

£83.75 for 20 adult meals and the food was OK for pub fayre. £9 for 4 drinks. Cracking value. Friendly staff and very helpful friendly manager. Thoroughly good evening had by all.

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME COMING BUT THE SUNSHINE FINALLY ARRIVED TODAY. Great place to soak it up enjoying a couple of glasses of wine. Service came with a smile from a lady who was very busy. Not bad prices for alcohol but can't comment on the food as we didn't order. Nice pleasant pub.

Went there with my wife for a steak. We got two a pan cooked, grissel filled tasteless steak. I ordered a medium and it came so over cooked I could knock someone out with it.

Always a warm, friendly welcome from bar staff. Landlady and landlord, Peter, always making sure everyone ok. Food is excellent value for money, tasty and well presented.

Great pub that shows sports , offers a great food menu and caters for children. Friendly staff and the landlord and landlady go out their way to make everyone who visits feel welcome.

This is worth walking to from the promenade if you go a few streets in off the Harrow Place tramway stop over the railway bridge. Prices were very reasonable and the food was great.

The water here is great. Try this pub out too. But there are other things to see and do too. I'll be back next weekend. Hopefully.

The food here is lovely, it is tasty and the scampi is yummy. It is wheelchair accessible and the friendly staff make you feel at home and they are caring and understanding.

Been here twice in a week with both family and friends. Both times the service has been excellent by everyone. The food has also been excellent. Today I had the macaroni cheese best I have tasted in a long time.

It was really busy so we had to wait on our food order but we were told that was the case when we ordered at the bar. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great service, friendly staff and tasty food at a great price.

we went here for a meal today 25.1.2017 me and a friend as she lives up by there i had my 10mth old baby with me only to be shouted at by an old guy sayin shut up so obvs i said to him u shut up hes a baby ur drunk at 1 in the afternoon then he was swearing loud aswell the lady behind the bar has an attitude problem wen i asked for a pint of coke she gave me just over half of a pint in a glass and said im sorry we dont fill them up more than that as its measurements the food came and the mash was disgusting and my friend asked for more peas and was told oh no he wont do that then the guy who bought out the food said no we dont do more peas but i did wonder what was happening to my stock whilst im been off work because my friend use to get more peas now we no why it was on his day off .. needless to say we wont be going back there ever again

After visiting this pub a few times and giving the benefit of doubt, I have decided that no more chances can be given and have decided to leave a negative review.

i go in with my wife 3 times a week. but there always seem to be a problem with the football discount card. No one seem to know when its on .Even when its should be on/ its not. /I don;t have one myself Apparently when it on else wear its not on in the farmers. I think the locals have a good point. if one green king pub puts the card on then all the greene king pubs should have it on landlord seems to please himself. on checking with greene king policy the card should have been on last night 1/10/20/16 just being straight. We have not been in blackpool long but pub seems to be very friendly could do with more staff at weekends or when big matches are on

I was in the area for the airshow and went in here with my Dad in the afternoon and later in the evening. It was quite a large and very lively place and had a good rock band on that weekend. The drinks prices were good value and the bar staff were friendly, efficient and made you feel welcome. Nice sunny west facing terrace in the afternoon.
