Oxton Homebrew Tap is a nice little conversion and if you love ice cold continental lagers and a bar full of over-sized dogs in insufficient space, with owners who feel you should love them the way they do, it might be for you. If you prefer stout or bitter and don't want to hear incessant barking or be bothered by other people's large dogs unchecked, demanding attention from everyone, then choose somewhere else. My first visit was a very poor experience and though maybe I'll try it again on a different night, maybe I won't.

Love this place. Lots of great guest ales. My favourite wheat beer, Paulaner, on draft. With the bar in the middle of the small, double-fronted shop-front, it splits the seating for about 20 people on either side of the bar, with further standing room for another 30-40. Further seating for around 20 more outside. Staff always happy and friendly. Hopefully it will start opening 7 days a week!

Descent pint, bit overpriced for a bar that's made mainly from plywood. I'm not a massive lover of the "unfinished" look but it doesn't detract from the taste of the beer. Friendly staff.

Went on a Friday night and a fair few of their taps were off unfortunately. Beer selection isn't bad, they do have a fridge with a decent selection in thankfully. Nice venue, great staff.

Always a good selection of craft and European beers with several on draught. A nice atmosphere, especially at weekends. I just wish they stayed open a bit later.

Called in Beer wine great although my large Pinot Grigio expensive. Asked for a large glass was given a 175ml checked with staff if this was a large measure yes 175 is the largest they do price for my 175 ml of Pinot Grigio £7.00. Paid less in London. Works out at these measures and prices a bottle of wine will cost you £30.00 in the Homebrew tap. 2 visits to this micro pub in 1 day my first and last. Wine to expensive

Can't comment on the beer I am sure it's very good , we were 2 ladies wanting a glass of wine , ordered 2 large glasses of Rose wine , was asked if I wanted malbec , erm is malbec a Rose ! she then poured the glasses of wine which looked small so I said is that a large wine & was told their large wine is 175ml & but the price was defineately large , £6 for a galss of Rose that looked very much like a white wine ! Cross the road & a 175ml glass of wine is £3.50 & a bottle is £13 , no wonder this bar was empty !!!!!

Pub and bar hopping down Victoria Road in the wonderful Victoria Quarter in New Brighton my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into Homebrew, a great brew bar we always look forward to visiting. An island style serving bar dominates the main room, eclectic decor and furnishings throughout this bar including brew vats at the rear of the brew bar and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Victoria Road. We were here on a gorgeous hot Thursday afternoon, all outside seating was occupied, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table, we studied the beer board and in the end we both opted to have Salt Brewery jute session ipa ,served in superb condition, we settled down and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular brew bar. My ipa was amazing, 4.2% ABV, so not a mind blowingly strong ipa but packed with taste, hints of citrus and on a hot afternoon a totally refreshing brew, a proper craft beer indeed. This is a seriously popular bar, on our visit it was busy but with beers this good hardly surprising. We really enjoyed our beers in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and as on every other visit to Homebrew we had a great time . Opening hours are; Monday & Tuesday, Closed. Wednesday & Thursday, Open for 3pm. Friday to Sunday, Open from 1pm. A wonderful brew bar,if you're planning a trip to New Brighton and you're a lover of great beers a must go destination.

Homebrew Tap is an Artisan craft beer bar which offers superb craft beers and spirits and is one of three Homebrew Tap bars on the Wirral. With a stripped back interior and superb lighting and great seating option's inside and a fantastic outside seating area Homebrew Tap is a brilliant bar to sample a few beers. We had already been to the Bow Legged Beagle and the Ship and decided to go in here for a few beers and on entry we gave our track and trace details. As all the outside seating was taken we sat in the main bar and ordered a couple of glasses of Salt brewery Jute Session IPA a superb IPA which was well served and well priced. Homebrew Tap is a superb craft beer bar and is one of three Homebrew Tap bars in the Wirral As they have one in West Kirkby'Oxton and also this one in New Brighton and is well worth a visit.Very easy to find from Cressingham road bus stop you walk along Rowson street and a left onto Victoria road.(This is my second review of Homebrew Tap) Opening Hours. Monday-Tuesday-Closed. Wednesday-Saturday-15.00-23.00. Sunday-13.00-23.00. Hours May Differ From Above Due To The Covid 19 Restrictions. Nearest Bus Stop. Cressingham road bus stop.

Pub and bar hopping around The Victoria Quarter in New Brighton my twin brother Stephen and I decided to go to Homebrew ,a great craft beers bar we always look forward to visiting. This is a cool little bar ,a nice cosy interior, lovely decor and furnishings including a lovely looking serving bar, beers are displayed on boards and theres plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside ,this is were we chose to sit. We ordered a pale ale each, these were served in pristine condition, we just kicked back and took in the great bar we were in. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, full bodied pale ale bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. These are the type of bars I really enjoy visiting, cool bar, nice staff and serving great beers ,what more could you ask for. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting as we were pub and bar hopping we had a great time. Homebrew Tap is easy to locate along Victoria Road. Opening hours are; Monday & Tuesday, Closed. Wednesday to Thursday, 3pm till 11pm. Friday & Sunday, 1pm till 11pm. A great bar, most definitely well worth a visit if you're in the area.

My twin brother Stephen and I had a day out in New Brighton and the Wallasey area enjoying the great pubs and bars to be found in this great area and Homebrew Tap was one great craft beer bar we chanced upon and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here,a light and airy interior, a fridge bulging with bottles and cans of beer, craft beers, local brews and a good selection of beers from around the world, great decor and furnishings including beer enamels and photos adorning the walls, a section of the bar shows the beer vats which look cool and theres also a superb looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Victoria Street, its just a great bar. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Wednesday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff, after a quick study of their beers on offer which are displayed on boards behind the bar my brother opted to have Tiny Rebel Brewery " cosy livin' session ipa " 4.8% ABV while I went for Wild Beer Brewery " fresh happy pale ale " 4.8% ABV and both these beers were served in excellent condition, we got a table were we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great craft beer bar we were in. My beer was really good, a well balanced, full bodied pale ale with a big hit of hops, very easy to drink,a beer style I really enjoy, my twin brother Stephen also gave me the thumbs up to his beer, while sipping on our beers we already had our next beer picked out and we both went for Black Lodge Brewery " hundred dollar volvo pale ale " 5% ABV and once again we were served an excellent brew,a smooth, mellow pale ale ,a totally refreshing brew,a good session pale ale ,I am very familiar with the beers brewed by Black Lodge Brewery and am a regular visitor to their brewery and tap room over in Liverpool on Kings Dock Street and have developed a real taste for their beers and their " hundred dollar volvo pale ale " is a particular favourite of mine. We both really enjoyed our beers in here and between my twin brother Stephen and I we sampled three great beer styles before we moved on . Homebrew Tap is easy to locate along Victoria Road in an area now known as the Victoria Quarter ,a street and area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants, in fact next door to Homebrew Tap is a great micropub called The Bow Legged Beagle Pub which also serves great real ales and is also well worth checking out. Opening hours are ; Monday & Tuesday, Closed. Wednesday & Thursday, 3pm till 11pm. Friday to Sunday, 1pm till 11pm. A great pub,one I I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.
