The Telegraph is one of the classic New Brighton pubs, pretty much never changing apart from the greater focus on outside space since the Pandemic. Even when busy it's often possible to find a quiet corner in the snug Lovely staff, particularly the lady who very kindly got my mobile phone back to me after I wandered off home, leaving it on a table!

Dropped in for a quick couple of beers on Christmas Day. Spectacularly good London Porter, in superb condition. Would be worth 5 stars if it were not nearly £5 per pint!

Decent beer in one of Wallasey's finest pubs. Great beer garden too. **Update. Now sells coldflow stuff and next to nil real ale. One star deducted accordingly. Sad, because it used to be a fine pub.

Immediately on entering it looked, felt, and smelt cleaner than most high-end restaurants, even with a few dogs in the bar area. The staff and few regulars were lovely, friendly, and welcoming, pointing out every section and how it had changed since my last visit pre-COVID. The whole pub has been refurbished, and looks and feels like it deserves to be the go-to for Mount Pleasant and Telegraph Road area. Now with an outside TV ready for the warmer weather, and tentative talks that music nights might be on the cards again.... Couldn't give a full five stars because we didn't try any food, and it wouldn't be fair to review something without knowing. However, I've heard the new management will be hiring a chef soon, so fingers crossed. Might be interesting to see some memorabilia or ephemera relating to the telegraph stations that relayed from Anglesey, if the brewery permit and if any local sources are feeling generous. Flags for music nights, quizzes, sports, etc to replace the previous nautical knick-nacks would be incredibly unique.

I always really loved the telegraph. But unfortunately during Covid one of the staff members has publicly humiliated another small local Business. Unnecessary actions and words slating another pub. Completely ruined the telegraph and embarrassing for them. Especially I have other friend that work there. Unfortunately. Their customer service by one staff member in particular is as bitter as what they serve. A shame that one has ruined it for all x

Once fond of this place. But to turn up to a pub we have had a good few family meals in to see a big A4 no children sign is not nice. Right in the middle of the door. OK Covid changes things but good luck as a local place surviving whilst turning away local business. Such a shame as we intentionally went out of our way to give our money to a local place. Off to the Lighthouse we trotted to feather the bed of Greene King. I gave it two stars for past enjoyable meals. Maybe if you realise your folly we will be back and can happily amend our thoughts. These times are for joining together and helping small businesses not turning people away. If you do not welcome me with my kids you will not get my business without my kids either. P.s. 3.30pm it was dead and needed the custom.

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into The Telegraph Pub as we were pub hopping around this part of Wallasey and this pub is a particular favourite of ours. I love the look of this pub,a beautiful interior, a large open plan pub,a solid wood serving bar, great decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden. We were here on a Wednesday afternoon, pub was busy,we had a study of their real ale's and we both opted to have Sharps Brewery " Doom Bar " these were served in excellent condition, we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in while sipping our superb real ale's. My real ale was outstanding, a rich ,full bodied and well balanced pale ale bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a real ale style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. We both really enjoyed our real ale's in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another one each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Telegraph Inn is easy to locate along Mount Pleasant Road. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 11am till 11pm. Sunday, Midday till 10.30pm. A great pub ,one I I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.
