Still a great local pub. Food looks good . Big screen for footy hasn't worked for a few months now. Staff great though and work hard. Need to get screen sorted. April 2025

Took my dog for lunch but there was no signs to direct us where to sit. Staff not very polite. So left.

Lovely evening with proper pub grub. I had the fish & chips with a side of curry sauce. The fish could not have been better. Drinks are a good price and the staff could not have made us more welcome.

Would not visit agian. Came in by meself for a quiet pint on a sunday night and was ignored by the young blonde woman who was meant to be working, as she was too busy flirting with some guys stood ther drinking at the bar. I get that you are hospitlty and you should talk to clients but maybe do your job first. Won't be back agian. walked out without gettin served.

The pub has been apart of my upbringing. Always a lovely atmosphere friendly and welcoming. Food is always prepared and served in a timely manner and always piping hot lovely well cooked food. We only ever choose the farmers for a midweek tea treat or a family special occasion. It's a place we all feel comfortable and welcome and I wouldn't go anywhere else

Consistently brilliant food at an excellent price with fantastic daily offers. Myself and colleagues enjoy calling in on our lunch to enjoy the great atmosphere which is generated from the lovely staff. The pub is so accommodating for the local community by putting on entertainment and it really is a credit to Moreton.

My wife had mac and cheese, I had steak and ale pie. The food was excellent, the service quick and friendly. My steak pie was excellent, as were the fries. The peas were, well, peas. We would like a seniors menu with only a main course, not because of the price--the two classic meals are excellent value--but because of the quantity: we hate leaving food to be thrownj out.

Absolutely gorgeous beef roast yesterday. Warm plate. Hot.food. Absolutely gorgeous and loads of gravy. Plate was full. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Xx

Posting here as my google review has been removed (businesses can do this). I had a horrible experience over christmas with my family. We had been going to the quiz for over a year. But its since gone downhill when Luke left. The quizmaster tries his best, but I dont think he realises that half of the teams are shouting the answers out to eachother. Ruining it for others. It used to be so busy those wednesday nights but now its dead. The customer who was shouting the answers out was too drunk and shouldnt have been getting more drinks. But the staff are friends with these horrible people. He kicked off at me. Anyway found a much better busier pub quiz down the road with better people.

Visited here on a couple of occasions recently and the staff are always really pleasant and friendly, make you feel welcomed and nothing is ever too much trouble. We have been served by Maya on each occasion and she’s a credit to the business, so polite and attentive who always has a smile on her face. Today we visited with our dog and sat next to the lovely log fire which was nice and warm which helped. We ordered some food which was delicious, I have Crohn’s and the staff made sure about dietary requirements which I appreciate massively. My Wife had the burger whilst I ordered the turkey dinner, both absolutely delicious. We visit pub/restaurants regularly and would definitely recommend here to anyone especially if you have a dog, it’s a fabulous place, nice atmosphere (live singer was on and was very good) and nice people. Will definitely go back very soon

14 of us went to the farmers today for Christmas lunch, the food was amazing as were the staff, thinking of booking again !!! Well worth the money

Food was nice but had to wait ages for a coffee my husband had to go back to the bar. This was on 2 occasions. Atmosphere was lovely and friendly.

Me and my family attended the Halloween party and it was amazing. The kids had a great time, lots of games with lots of prizes. The staff was great especially Nickie who was smiley and happy throughout!!

Excellent food, good prices + excellent staff.

Came for dinner the other week with my husband and son and it was lovely, therefore decided to return for tea with my family to celebrate a special occasion last night and the food was not great at all! My mum couldn't have steak as my sister ordered the last one. The chicken my husband and I ordered also had to be doubpe checked whether it was available, which it was, however our meals and my son's came out after half the family had finished eating their meals and after we had chased up where the meals actually where. My son's scampi was dripping in grease, so much so he didnt touch it. My husband's looked burnt on one side but he ate it anyway. My sister's steak was to be well cooked, which it was on the outside, cremated, but inside, very much still pink so she left a lot of that! Disappointing really. We stayed for a bit after the meal, however our plates were not collected until we started leaving. Every table in the bar around us had empty glasses or plates on, uncollected. No one came to check how our meals where. Most of us left disappointed and definitely won't be returning.

Went for the first time last week. Was hungry so got the cheese and spring onion roll with mayo. For the price tiny and I think that they emptied the "pot of mayo extra for dipping " on to the batch. Virtually no cheese or onion, just mayo.Didn't get the extra mayo.And it came on a HOT plate. Crazy. The photo on here is also wrong.

Lovely pub right on our doorstep that still feels super authentic where some pubs have over-modernised for me. Nicky is always super welcoming and lovely every time we come in. Thanks to her and the team

Came here for a spot of lunch with my patner and little girl to use the play area outside. We both had a steak and a kids chicken nuggets meal. Everything came out as it should, tasty. Staff were very friendly and attentive, looking foward to coming back again in the school holidays

Second time I have eaten here and as last time when with my wife, was very disappointed. My meal arrived with half the trimmings missing and I had one of the worst cuts of steak I have ever had. 40% was inedible and although it was cooked as requested, it was not enjoyable. I was offered a free drink or desert but to be honest, I didn't want to chance it. Extremely doubtful if I will ever eat here again...twice bitten...twice unenjoyable!

Worst dining out ever. Very poor service. The pastry on the pies that my wife and I had needed an angle grinder to cut. Instant mash with instant gravy and bullet peas. Once we finally got to the pie filling, it was a waste of effort. First and last time eating here. We will never return.

Lovely meal at a very reasonable price. Build your own burger for £5 and it was delicious!

Sam and the team definitely bump across the board considering the competition on the cross. They run top ship! Food is always consistently good! Service is top notch, Keri & Nicky & Caitlyn always ensure the guests are well fed and watered. Food is definitely worth the price point. If you want a great local that welcomes strangers to their community then this is a pub with open arms.

Two roast dinners for £11.49. Big portions and nice food. Staff are very friendly and helpful (Especially Leigh) Only downer is that not much gravy and when I asked for more was told it would be a pound. Never been a problem / charge before. Daft little things like this put people off.

Food is always spot on. Haven't been able to fault a thing. Staff are always pleasant, and with fast service!

Even though it was pre Christmas busy, there were no tables except for one reserved; they allowed us to have the table as the pre-bookers were nearly half an hour late and potential no-shows whereas my elderly parents 85 and 90 were regulars. Needless to say, we had a rip roaring evening.

Haven't eaten here before so can't pass judgement, service seemed abit slow at the bar and the atmosphere was night and day in each side, people just walking dogs into the pub and letting then roam round.

Me and my group of friends love a good quiz, we’d heard about the famous Farmers quiz from having a drink there at the weekend. All 6 of us popped down early on Wednesday to grab some very in demand seats for the quiz and bingo we’d been told so much about. Arriving early and being a little peckish we were told by the brilliant and very attentive staff that they had an offer on Burgers, £5 for a burger of your choice! Say no more, 6 burgers ordered, all very different, beef and chicken, double patties, bacon and cheese etc… they were absolutely delicious and were washed down with a few pints of Moretti and a bottle or 3 of house wine. I have to mention the staff as they were absolutely brilliant with us and ensured we were always happy and always topped up with drinks, even showing us how to download an app for discounts and offers on food and drink, best customer service we received at any public house. We didn’t very well in the quiz( we never do 😂), we did have a great laugh, amazing food and drink and an all round great evening, we’ll definitely be back next week to see the amazing team at the pub and to get stuck into more £5 burgers! What an amazing offer in the current climate. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a really friendly pub with a great atmosphere and excellent staff.

Heavy curry here steak mangled up me throat

Went for a meal with a friend. Everything was great, food was lovely and cooked wonderfully.

Lovely little place, the food and drink are very reasonably priced and I loved the way you could order on the app. The waitress was very attentive and came over a near the start and end of our food asking how it was. The only improvement I could think of is the jam and coconut sponge could have done with a little more jam as ours was a little dry. Other than that, very lovely place and I'll be coming back

Popped in for a quick drink as we were early for a nearby appointment. Unfortunately environment was grubby and drinks tasted weird. Attempted to use the toilet but the only cubicle was covered in faeces (including the floor!). Gross! Was planning to return here after the appointment for food but lack of cleanliness and general poor atmosphere was very off-putting. Surprised this place has so many positive reviews.

i ordered a double cheese burger with hashbrowns and onions ,lettuce, gurk and and i got served with one burger n not a double so it’s rude n i paid f it

Went here after reading the reviews expecting really nice food at the end of a walk, sorely disappointed, 5/5 meals were very sub standard, re fried frozen and unappetising and also a pile of sick in the gents toilets not cleaned from night before….

Our lunch was very good, particularly the hunters chicken meal. Also, the fish and chips was very tasty. Pleasant and helpful staff. We will call again when we are in the area. Thank you

Stopped here this morning with me son, we wanted a snack after an early morning errand in Liverpool, so the snack turned into a full meal, I had lasagna and mini me had the full English (said the eggs were the best he’s ever had) so on that note 4/5

Lunch time treat with my granddaughter. Cheerful welcome. Ordered food and drink on App. Quick as a flash our food was served fresh and hot by our friendly waitress. I opted for Katsu chicken and Lasagna for Amy. Couldn't leave without a pud. Raspberry and coconut sponge and custard and Biscoff cheesecake. Delightful meal in a happy friendly atmosphere. What fabulous place to spend a Sunday afternoon! The staff were amazing with a special shout out to Nickie who helped tremendously with deciding which beer to choose from the mind boggling options available. Just a shame it was a school night as I could have stayed all day.
