Hannah's West Kirby in Wirral

1st visit will return alot bigger than it looks from outside nicely surprised.dogs welcome and staff were very pleasant.

Such a cute little place. Our reservation was held no problem. The tea and food came out quick. Our orders were right with no issues. This place is pricey, but what isn't these days.

I've only been here a few times, and it's always busy. We all had the full English, little disappointed sausage on one of the plates were very pale and beans looked like they'd been watered down, rest of breakfast was lovely, good service, and staff are lovely. Had a selection of kirstens cakes to finish. It can be quite cold if you sit near the door.

Great food, BUT awful service Served the couple who came in us, not children friendly as my grandchild nearly had one of the many lose signs fall on him when he touched it. He got upset when the waitress shouted a warning. Waitress didn't ask if we needed any condiments with our food. Twice I had to ask for service during our visit.

Lovely eggs florentine breakfast here this morning. It was delicious, an added bonus of it being served on the most delicious sourdough bread I had never tasted before. The service was excellent, and they accommodate dogs too. Will return. Highly recommend.

The team here is really friendly and easy going. It’s a simple and classic breakfast menu. I am gluten free and they had GF toast and sausage for the English breakfast! We got here close to opening so no waiting. Atmosphere is a little corny. Lots of faux-vintage pictures with cute/snarky quotes on them. Not a bad thing necessarily!

Amazing breakfast, good quality food sausages where delicious nice black coffee as well. They also had a high seat for the baby and made a sandwich for him as it was still only breakfast menu. The lunch menu does not start till 12.30

Had a lovely lunch last week. Super attentive staff. Very efficient service and my BLT toasted bagel was perfect. It was a very generous plate of food and well worth the cost as you can see.

We had to wait a long time before any service. When the food finally arrived the bacon and sausages were over cooked. The bacon could not be cut, I had to bend it to break it up. The whole experience was very poor.

Absolutely staggered to be charged 30p for some extra hot water to dilute my wife’s tea and another 30p for a bit more milk! Been there a number of times over the years but today will b Ed the last time we go to Hannah’s.

Terrible service and attitudes from staff. Exactly the same as my last visit. I thought they were having a bad day then but today confirmed it. Bad mouthing polite older people within hearing distance of other customers is awful. Didn't stick around to order although we had already been seated for 10 minutes.

Hi went to West Kirby for a few hours, went to look for somewhere to eat and saw Hannah's and only went in as it's our daughters name!!!! And boy was we not disappointed, lovely food, lovely staff , recommend and will certainly pop in again down that way x

Something for all pallets in this charming cafe, used to be Rox Records for those old enough to remember. The cafe itself is set between two other cafes all with something to offer, Hannah’s has the most selection of food, drinks and seating. Dog friendly and scrummy scran. The portions are generous and no one is leaving hungry. Outdoor seating area is available and table service on offer.

I recommend it to everyone, it is a nice business and its staff is polite.

Went for the first time today and will definitely be going back. I went with 4 friends and everyone's food was excellent 👌. Especially the pulled pork & cheese on a panini 10/10

Lovely place to eat but i think the prices are steep, £40+ for 2 sandwiches, BLT and Ham salad with a bit of salad and slaw, goats cheese on bruschetta and a tea, coffee and can of San Pelligrino, but the price boils down to whether we pay it or not, lovely staff and clean throughout so still give it 5 bubbles ooooo .

Ordered food here today was disgusting, told staff, only to be given 25%off cup of tea, never go their again

What was good: Very tasty full-English with top quality ingredients. Friendly wait staff. What was bad: Plate was cold. Charges 20p extra to have milk in your coffee. What was ugly: Member of staff proceeded to spray the nearby windows with cleaning fluid which wafted over my breakfast and left a lingering smell in the air.

After a number of great visits here with lovely food, 3 of us went here to be sat on a small bistro table only just suitable for 2 when dining. I decided to move the adjacent free table, when the cafe was pretty quiet, to provide us with sufficient space to dine comfortably. We were promptly advised in an unnecessarily abrasive manner by one of the staff that should not be done and although we could keep it like that they may need the table back. The attitude and curt way we were addressed made me state that the space wasn't suitable for 2 let alone 3 to which the server responded it's not 'our policy' to allow parties of 3 to do that...strange, if we had entered as a couple and a solo visitor it would he been allowed...pretty ridiculous policy. The server remained abrasive throughout our visit and we felt almost rushed to leave and uncomfortable while she could be seen talking about the 'policy breach' we had seemingly committed to the rest of the staff. Unfortunately the food did not seem it's usual high standard either. It will be a while, if ever, we come back, which is a shame as we have enjoyed previous visits but there are lots of other great places in West Kirby to dine where we will not be berated infront of other diners like naughty children.

They do great paninis with a full plate of extras that always hit the spot for less than £10. They also serve chunky chips the side of Californian Redwoods which are great.

Great cafe selling a variety of breakfasts, sandwiches and drinks. Popped in for cappuccino drinks & lunch on 26th May and had a Turkey, bacon, stuffing with Cranberries Pannini , a side of chunky chips, whilst my wife had the Welsh rarebit. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Service was fast and food really good. Pannini came with a side salad with Tortilla chips Just look at the size of those chunky chips 😋. Highly recommended 👌.

What a lovely cafe. The staff had a really lovely attitude, even when we pitched up 20 minutes before closing. Coffees and tea were very welcome but cake needs a special mention, great selection and very hard to choose. I went with the classic Victoria sponge which was delicious Highly recommend

Staff friendly lovely atmosphere and dog friendly. Worth visiting to just read all the sayings around the walls made us smile on a wet Wednesday morning.

This is definitely NOT the best cafe in West Kirby. Extremely slow service, adequate food, frozen and reheated. We waited 20 minutes before being allowed to order drinks and then we were told we had to wait until we had our drinks before we could order our food - really?! We then waited another 20 minutes for our drinks and then another 35 minutes for our food. Get a grip Hannah, if you are not up to providing a good service then don't mess your customers about, change what you do and how you do it! That was 2 hours of my life I won't be getting back..... I won't be going back to Hannah's either!

Best full English breakfast I have had for a long time. Two rashers of bacon, two sausages, black pudding, mushrooms, baked beans, hash brown and toast. The chocolate drink was also excellent and hot Would definitely recommend

Staff are super friendly! We were sat straight away and given menus. Food came out very quickly and it was absolutely delicious. Service was so so nice !! Highly recommend. Couldn’t actually finish my meal I was so full.

An excellent brunch after a lovely walk round the lake. West Kirby in the sun is a beautiful place and with a delightful cafe like this to go to makes it even more enjoyable.

We have been coming here for a number of years and generally find the food to be nice. Over our last few visits, we have noticed the service has been very slow and simple things like changing the eggs from fried to poached on your breakfast is a problem. In fact today we were charged extra for doing this and when we raised it, we were met with a terrible attitude from the owner/ manager. She was so rude we have decided never to return here again.

My friend and I go to Hannahs most weeks after our walk. Hannah and her staff are always warm and welcoming. The coffee is the best and is always consistent, you can actually taste the coffee. My friend and I both have dietary problems and Hannah provides cakes and meals for all dietary requirements which are delicious.. Thanks Hannah see you Wednesday!

We called in for coffee and cake whist in the area. Place was very busy but the waitress was able to find us a table for two Beverage and cake order was taken without delay and promptly arrived at our table. Drinks and cakes were excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Great friendly service - I was visiting with my friend who has coeliac disease and the staff went out of their way to accommodate her needs - making a fantastic omelette. Highly recommend for great food, thoughtful and friendly staff

I asked for hot water as the cup of tea was a bit strong; it took a long time to arrive and to my amazement, the bill showed we had been charged for it! What penny pinching! I asked to speak to the manager who simply said "its our policy", no apology or explanation. She seemed to resent me asking why there was only one toilet and barked at me "anything else?" then actually said "you won't want to come back" and walked away. I was stunned by her rudeness but managed to say "you wont see me here again". I have never been told to not return to a cafe. She obviously does not care about retaining customers and she should do because of the competition in West Kirby. There have been other negative reviews about the manager's attitude, I wish potential customers would read them and go elsewhere.

Absolutely amazing cafe! Highly recommend going - we’ve been several times and it’s never disappoints. We were recommended by family to try the festive stack sandwich and had our sights on it, unfortunately when we got there we hadn’t connected that it wasn’t lunch time - luckily for us the staff couldn’t have been lovelier and made us the sandwich anyway. It was absolutely delicious and all staff are very friendly.

We have been to Hannah's previously for a cooked breakfast which was a little pricey but we enjoyed. This time we both decided to have something different. I went for the American Style Pancakes with Maple Syrup & my Husband the Smashed Avocado on Sourdough Toast. There were different fillings to have with the Pancakes so I opted for the Bananas & Blueberries. I hadn't realised both fruits were charged at £1.65 & was surprised to find that there was half a banana on top of the pancakes and a small handful of blueberries in the pancakes batter. The pancakes were thick and doughy & when I poured the small amount of maple syrup on top it just sunk straight into the first pancake. I asked for a little more syrup but they told me they would charge me as it was measured out into small containers each day. I refused anymore syrup as I had paid way more for these pancakes than I have anywhere else. My husband asked for 2 poached eggs (£1.50 each!!) on top of the avocado on toast which was a good thing that he did as the toast was so small the eggs barely fit on top on the single piece. To add insult to injury they had charged my husband 20p extra for hot milk for his Americano. Now, this is his go to drink wherever we go & I can safely say he has never been charged this anywhere & we travel the UK frequently. I asked the waitress how they could justify £3.30 for half a banana and about 10 blueberries. She said it was because fresh fruit was expensive!!!! Really!! The total bill came to a few pence shy of £30. We were going to go back in the afternoon for coffee & cake after our walk for decided against it & will find somewhere else to go next time we visit West Kirby.

Shame the owner can’t be as pleasant as her staff. Rude, unfriendly and miserable while the till goes chiching! She ruins the place.

Lovely café in the centre of West Kirby. Four of us met for brunch. We all left satisfied after tasty food. One negative was that I asked for a vegan dish but it was brought out with an egg on it. Theo's was quickly rectified, so probably just a blip.

On the afternoon of Wednesday 29th November 2023 - I needed sustenance yet was aware that time was tight due to needing to get a one-per-hour Bus. Could I order, get a seat and enjoy my meal in 25 minutes? The answer was yesh due to informing staff of my deadline. The wait for my Jacket Potato with Tuna & Cheese along with the beverage of Cappuccino wasn't long. I truly enjoyed it with 8 minutes to spare. Lovely staff, very popular and nice business.

First visit to Hannah's and definitely Wont be last great brunch time food/ coffee and cake shop. The staff were friendly and efficient and the cafe had a fantastic vibrant atmosphere. £35 for food and drink for 3 people was a good price for what we recieved. Only gripe was the cake was far too sweet and sponge dry that said well worth a visit!

Hiya went today we had breakfast was just gorgeous the food very hot and tasty latte that was the best my hubby has had my hot chocolate was just the best and made with milk and NOT water yuk and I got some cakes for much later and thay were just gorgeous and fresh 😋 so thank you very much we will be back for tea one evening 😋 and on each table u get fresh flowers 💐

We stayed in west Kirby for 6 days visiting family and Hannah’s happened to be just a couple doors down from us! We had breakfast the first morning and came back every morning after that. Hannah and the whole staff were extremely welcoming, and accommodating they not only had our orders memorized by the end of the week but they would also help us figure out how to get around that day and what route to take. The food was delicious all very fresh and tasty! Overall definitely check out Hannah’s

We visited West Kirby as a party of 4. Hannah’s was very busy but they squeezed us in. The food was great and coffees nice and hot. Ruby who served us gave a great service despite being v busy. Would definitely recommend.

I don't normally write any sort of negative review as I am aware that people have different ideas of what is good and what is not so good but I feel that on this occasion I must put my thoughts online When I go into a cafe/restaurant I only ever expect two things Decent priced food and comfort while eating. The food , a full English breakfast, while certainly very palatable, was to my mind a little expensive but the really negative point surrounded a waitress who while i was eating constantly swept around my table despite me complaining about this fact to her. I appreciate that floor's need to be swept but not in the immediate vicinity of the table at which a person is eating. When I complained a second time, this time to a gentleman who came to collect my payment , a lady who I can presume to be either Hannah herself or the manageress, appeared on the scene attempting in a very offhand manner to make some sort of an apology. As I left the establishment I had to walk past the staff I was subject to what I rightly or wrongly took to be very hostile stares So decent food if maybe overpriced but for the rest of my experience a very very big no thank you

We’ve eaten at Hannah’s on many occasions and can’t fault it. The food is lovely and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. The cafe is also dog friendly which is an added bonus. We’d only been for lunch, but recently had the full English. I highly recommend it, it was delicious!
