Benty Farm is a firm favourite for our family. It's lovely to see how it has grown and evolved over the years. From afternoon tea to half term events/ activities something for everyone. Love sitting outside in the warm weather and love the marquee with it's seasonal decor, very cozy. Family who run the business are lovely and work very hard. A great variety of cakes - all homemade and the coffee is 10/10. Friendly staff and great food is always guaranteed here.

Waitresses miserable. Certainly wasn’t service with a smile. It felt like it was a chore for them. Food was very average. A very limited menu to choose from. What made the visit even worse was a family at the next table to us (we were inside the gazebo) pulled out a potty and sat their child on it whilst everyone around them were eating. Our first and will definitely be our last visit here !

We had the best time at this years tulip picking! We attend most events at Benty and love them every time. There was still so many different tulips to choose from and I am going back again next weekend! We love the cafe as well as the food, drink and service is always amazing.

Bought 2 tickets for the 'Tulip farm'. Drove an hour and a half to arrive at what can only be described as a patch of scrag ends of a few flowers. How they can sell tickets for an event which is on par with a modern scam of visitors money.

We went to Benty farm tea rooms for the Tulip viewing . Oh it was so beautiful. Seeing all the rows of tulips standing proud.. Our granddaughters ran up and down the rows and kept stopping to look at them. Sitting on the dusty soil in their very best dresses. Looking and talking about how pretty they were. We were chatting about our favourite ones, the colours, the smells and the variety. We are busy creating core memories and this one will be up there in the future. As we look back over this year We will smile and remember our time there.

We went on the first day for tulip viewing. The tulips are beautiful, with all sorts of colours. Area is not huge (about 10 rows of tulips) but enough for good photos. Staff is really friendly, takes the initiative to engage with us. Really appreciate as this farm is just 15mins away from my house on the Wirral, saving my journey to travel 2 hours down south to see. I rather support a local farm!

On the expensive side in comparison to other cafes. Avoid the fruit toast - £4.00 for a couple of small slices full of air & not much fruit! Hot food may lag behind the hot drinks by some time if busy. However it is a convenient stop during a walk in the area.

Perfect for our Sunday breakfast. Lovely spot and food all locally sourced or home-made. I had a hazelnut hot chocolate and peanut butter/banana on home made banana bread, and my husband had a cup of tea and Avocado on toast with bacon and a poached egg. We both really enjoyed our breakfasts and this will now be a regular weekend treat. Lovely staff. Lovely venue. Perfect for a little stop off while walking the dog(s) or browsing the farm. Tulips are in season now and I wish we had more time to have a browse. Next time!

Visited today to show a friend Thurstaton Common. This place has always had a great reputation, and the scone we ordered was great, but the waitress on the till was very rude and dismissive when half the cakes were brought out and 10 mins later we asked where the rest of the cakes were. The hot food we ordered was average at best and not worth the prices. As a local, I don't think we will be back unfortunately.

After a lovely walk with our dog we decided to visit for breakfast. It was a freezing cold weekday and the cafe was very quiet. We asked if we could sit inside and was told rather abruptly by an unwelcoming woman we took to be the owner, that as we had a have a dog (small and well-behaved by the way) we would have to sit under the covered area outside - which she referred to as , “The marquee”. We did as we were told and sat beside one of the two - ineffective in my opinion - gas burners. The tarpaulin overhead was leaking over the tables and all the seating apart from one. Unsurprisingly we were the only ones out there! Eventually our breakfast arrived. My smashed avocado on toast turned out to be cold slabs of avocado on rock hard sourdough. It was awful! What an experience! We so wished that we’d driven to one of the many local establishments where the food is of a good standard and the welcome is warm and inviting. This place should have been packed but having experienced it,I am not surprised that it was quiet.

After a snowy walk popped into Benty's. Sat in front of a log fire and was superbly surprised with their turmeric, chilli hot chocolate 10/10 followed by perfect bacon sandwich and topped off with a shared sticky toffee pudding shared between us. The pudding was light and tasty without being cloying (like some of the best restaurants have served us)and hit the bliss factor! Another 10/10. Thank you for attentive service too.

Benty Farm is a fab place to go for a lovely family atmosphere, the service from the staff is supremely friendly plus the ability to pick your own strawberries and other seasonal food is an absolute highlight. The only slight drawback is the inconsistency on food, it's never terrible but sometimes it's expensive for what it is, the portion sizes do vary depending on what time of the day you go.

Don't bother going for Sunday Brunch unless you're prepared to wait. We turned up at 11.45 and the place was already packed with dog walkers and families. Went here for a spot of lunch as part of a Sunday bike ride. It's a lovely slice of old Wirral i.e. café next to a sandstone farm by the side of Thurstaston Common. When we arrived there was a placard outside saying "Due the current volume of orders, we are only serving cakes and drinks." This is fine if you only want a snack, but my cyclist friend and I wanted something more substantial. We did order cakes but noticed some people inside were being served sandwiches and other items from the main menu, so the placard must be something they have in reserve for busy times. Even our super simple order took a while to arrive... yes the cakes were nice but come on guys, this isn't rocket science! At busy times e.g. Sunday afternoon you're gonna need more staff on shift! In the end we rode down the hill for lunch at Flissy's café, Wirral Country Park: always excellent, pleasant staff and to the best of my knowledge always serving the full menu!

Lovely find food and drinks were lovely. However was accused of being rude by the owner for grabbing a pot of honey from the shelf and not allowing the woman behind to go in front when we had already queued for nearly 10 minutes. I think in future before staff accuse customers of being rude it would be a good idea to understand exactly what had happened not what had been witnessed in that second. I did try to grab the owners attention on more than one occasion to explain she had jumped to conclusions but she just ignored us. Unfortunately wouldn't recommend or return as there are many lovelier places on the wirral offering the same level of food and drinks but better service.

Although this is a lovely tea room, it’s lucky with the location as it has the monopoly. The service is so unbelievably slow and this was on a week day! I don’t understand why there’s not more staff when they are clearly so busy. What wasn’t great is there was no acknowledgement of this and the service was bordering on rude. Won’t be back as we only came for drinks and ended up waiting nearly as long as we’d been out for a walk. Not great.

She spoke briefly to the women behind me in the queue. I heard one of the women say "she's saving us some soup, she has some soup left for us, two bowls!" The lady then came back to the till, and I asked for some soup to which she replied "we've run out!" I thought, no you haven't because the women who are behind me in the queue have just stated that you have some for them! Considering we were first I don't think it's fair, didn't really want to stay after that so left, will not be going back again considering the service standards!

The cake options are good and are easily their best option. I'd expect they do a good afternoon tea.
