Visited with my two little boys in the Summer holidays for PYO strawberries and ice-creams, went to pay and realised my purse was at home! The lovely lady serving me was very kind and discreet about it and let me pay when I got home - Thank you so much! Whenever we visit the staff are always so lovely and they do the yummiest cake and hot chocolate. Highly recommend!

Benty Farm is a fab place to go for a lovely family atmosphere, the service from the staff is supremely friendly plus the ability to pick your own strawberries and other seasonal food is an absolute highlight. The only slight drawback is the inconsistency on food, it's never terrible but sometimes it's expensive for what it is, the portion sizes do vary depending on what time of the day you go.

Don't bother going for Sunday Brunch unless you're prepared to wait. We turned up at 11.45 and the place was already packed with dog walkers and families. We starred to queue and one of the waitresses told us "sorry guys, there's a 30 minutes wait on service." This isn' t the first time I've been. The service is often slow at the weekend. But it was a nice day, half term. The coffee and cakes have been good in the past but the slow service ruins it.

A little hidden gem although often super busy at weekends. Lovely food and drinks but tricky to find a table and service is slow due to being busy. Perhaps table service would be better with separate section for take out. If you go alone you have to queue and then can't get a seat!

Going to be honest soup is superb in there the presentation is excellent however the sandwich veggie one tasted like weird and smelly was like that farm soil smell...I had two bites of sandwich and decided to leave it...banana bread nice but you get 2 slices and it's too much felt a bit sickly sweet the biscoff latte was alright all round nice place good presentation service could have been a bit happier, girl just plonked on table with awkward look so not sure what that was about.... didn't have the heart to ask for a refund just learned from experience. The area in general has a great trekk sorounding the area so it's a good day out idea

Had a lovely visit to a local delight that is Benty farm tea rooms, just stopped for a bite to eat after a walk around the common. Staff were attentive even though it was a busy Saturday lunch time. They catered for my little one and his allergies and advised us what we should avoid. We had the mushrooms on toast and the red pepper, lentil and rosemary soup to share and finished with a scone. Will be making this a regular stop off.

Went here for a spot of lunch as part of a Sunday bike ride. It's a lovely slice of old Wirral i.e. café next to a sandstone farm by the side of Thurstaston Common. When we arrived there was a placard outside saying "Due the current volume of orders, we are only serving cakes and drinks." This is fine if you only want a snack, but my cyclist friend and I wanted something more substantial. We did order cakes but noticed some people inside were being served sandwiches and other items from the main menu, so the placard must be something they have in reserve for busy times. Even our super simple order took a while to arrive... yes the cakes were nice but come on guys, this isn't rocket science! At busy times e.g. Sunday afternoon you're gonna need more staff on shift! In the end we rode down the hill for lunch at Flissy's café, Wirral Country Park: always excellent, pleasant staff and to the best of my knowledge always serving the full menu!

Lovely find food and drinks were lovely. However was accused of being rude by the owner for grabbing a pot of honey from the shelf and not allowing the woman behind to go in front when we had already queued for nearly 10 minutes. I think in future before staff accuse customers of being rude it would be a good idea to understand exactly what had happened not what had been witnessed in that second. I did try to grab the owners attention on more than one occasion to explain she had jumped to conclusions but she just ignored us. Unfortunately wouldn't recommend or return as there are many lovelier places on the wirral offering the same level of food and drinks but better service.

Although this is a lovely tea room, it’s lucky with the location as it has the monopoly. The service is so unbelievably slow and this was on a week day! I don’t understand why there’s not more staff when they are clearly so busy. What wasn’t great is there was no acknowledgement of this and the service was bordering on rude. Won’t be back as we only came for drinks and ended up waiting nearly as long as we’d been out for a walk. Not great.

Great atmosphere and lovely setting. But it wasn’t a good experience. We queued for at least 10mins and kept being directed where to stand. When we got to the front we were told there’s a 20min wait, including on any hot drink. We only intended to pop for a coffee after our walk. Cold drink and food beside the till was available - but for £13 for two ginger beers and two rubbery sausage rolls.

Wanted to order some soup they had advertised, when I got to the front of the queue for the till, the lady behind the till told me she'd be a moment and moved away. She spoke briefly to the women behind me in the queue. I heard one of the women say "she's saving us some soup, she has some soup left for us, two bowls!" The lady then came back to the till, and I asked for some soup to which she replied "we've run out!" I thought, no you haven't because the women who are behind me in the queue have just stated that you have some for them! Considering we were first I don't think it's fair, didn't really want to stay after that so left, will not be going back again considering the service standards!

We've walked past a few times and it's always busy with a queue so we thought we'd give it a go. It turns out the queue is because the service is phenomenally slow - 40 mins for tea and a sandwich! They could really do with rethinking their whole process flow. The food was ok albeit a little limited. They could do with keeping a few of the hot food breakfast options on for lunch. The cake options are good and are easily their best option. I'd expect they do a good afternoon tea.

Not been here for a while due to health issues but made arrangements to meet my daughter for a coffee, and was very happy at the prospect. Whereas I used to walk, I'm now reliant on my car and was a bit dismayed to read the notice at the end of the lane that stated only foot traffic was permitted. I phoned to inquire if I could drive up given that I can only walk a short distance with the aid of crutches and am a blue badge holder, but was told that while I could be driven up and deposited (goodbye freedom), there was no disabled parking available. The lady I spoke to was very pleasant in responding to my query but I am disappointed that a much anticipated return to this tearoom was not to be.

A lady with a (very yappy) small dog was given a bin bag for her dog to sit on-on the bench yet when our (big a lot better behaved) dog put his paws up on the bench the waitress told our dog to get down so double standards if you have a big dog it doesnt seem to be that friendly in what we found. A great place for live music fans. The rooms set up means that only those interested in watching the act are seated by the performer, and there's plenty of space for those not interested to talk and watch TV. A bonus is that there's cask on too. Usually Doombar, but you can't win 'em all, and lately a perfectly respectable Atlantic Pale (also from Sharps). Open Mic night on Thursday.
