Excellent array of drinks available. The staff are all great. Pizza/calzones are all way better than most around. Good atmosphere an dog friendly,not sure about cats. Oh an a dart board

Great selection of real ales and ciders! Dog friendly and has a local buzz, very welcoming atmosphere great service. You can order 3 glasses as samples, which make up a pint to determine what other drinks you might want to taste further!

Update 14/8/20 There are very many reasons to visit the West Kirby Tap: delightful venue, wonderful staff, great cask ales, relaxed atmosphere... and one more reason added to the list recently, fantastic pizza menu, they are absolutely superb! Update 22/7/20 The West Kirby Tap has now reopened after lockdown. A very simple customer registration process is in place, accomplished either by a smartphone QR code scan or good old pen and paper. Social distancing and hygiene measures are excellent. Seating capacity inside has reduced slightly but that doesn't affect the pub's delightful ambience one iota. Seating capacity outside has increased via the introduction of four seater benches. Table service is in place, and bar orders are given verbally to the attentive, ever-circulating bar staff. The cask ale quality is, as always, superb. Superb brewery outlet with a relaxed atmosphere and a range of 8 guest cask ales covering a spectrum of beer/cider styles plus 3 craft ales. As you might expect in a brewery tap, beer quality is outstanding. Staff are very friendly and know their stuff ale-wise. Food is limited to cold plates, but is very good indeed. Has become my go-to pub for great beer. However, the "entertainment" on Saturdays is of a variable standard and can be very loud. My umpteenth visit today, beer food and atmosphere superb as usual. The music playlist varies in terms of genre considerably . If Nick is on the premises, it will be good. Just called in for coffee today, it's (almost) as good as the beer, sat outside in the surprisingly-warm February sunshine, watching the world go by, very pleasant.

Great choice of beer, great place to go with friends, allows dogs too! Beer constantly changing but a few favourites always remain. My local, my go to pub. Some outdoor picnic table seats for warm, sunny days too. What's not to like? Fab pub Love the new Spitting Feathers pale ale, Extra Mile. Great taste and great value

Great friendly little bar with wide choice of beers and tasty pizzas made fresh in the oven next to the bar. Bonus last night (Wednesday) it was buy one get one half price! Perfect after a 30k bike ride from Hoylake to New Brighton and back!

Sound pub with friendly staff. There's a little seating area in the front which is decent and they are dog friendly. Pizzas were were nice and a good selection of drinks available. Would pop in again when in West Kirby.

Large variety of beers and good ambience

The West Kirby tap is a bustling and well run pub, with lots of good beers on offer. The staff are lovely and Natalie was super helpful during our visit on Saturday. There are several of their own brewery, Spitting Feathers, beers and lots of great guest beers. We usually grab a pizza here, which are excellent and about £12 each, but the kitchen was closed today. It was no problem though as they allowed food in from the brilliant restaurant, Grand Ave, next door. The pub is always dog friendly and welcomes well behaved dogs. A must visit if you are in the area.

Plenty of cask ale choices to choose from. Always quality from Spitting Feathers. Another great find on our bus trip around Wirral.

Good selection of beers from small brewers, not the standard Doom bar mass produced trash. Busy when we were there but outside seating available.

Awesome food and excellent value. Great vibe. Would have been 5 stars but there were dirty glasses on our table when we sat down, and they were still there after we left. Could have easily took them when they brought the food or anytime during our visit.

The best watering hole in West Kirby. Hands down. Great craft beers on tap, amazing atmosphere, wonderful staff. There are regular events, fantastic food and dogs are allowed. My home away from home. Try the Tappers gin!

Wow what an absolute brilliant pub! If you like your ales and good beers this is the place for you! The staff are friendly and really know their stuff and I can tell they really love that part of the job with suggestions and info about various beers and tastes to even how it's made! The place is right in the centre of West Kirby with loads of nice seats and a really relaxing atmosphere! We had a few in here but we Will definitely be back! It's dog friendly, they do food (though we didn't try any) and it's wheelchair accessible too, great little pub if you're in the area!

Table service available. It was very quiet when I was there so I got served quickly & they have a very good beer selection. It is nice to find a pub with good beer & overlooking the high street with big wide windows so I can watch the world pass by while I relax with a pint.
