Love the friendliness of staff and customers alike, always a warm welcome at the Mags, I visit my sister in law most weeks and we walk along to eat and have her favourite tipple, peroni. Fish and chips tonight was great, looking forward to seeing you all next week. I think I've found my favourite eatery.

Old fashioned boozer with excellent ales and lovely food. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Best fish and chips on Wirral. Every time we go there we meet new people and have a good time with them.visited again on 16th of November. Only change is the fish and chips now only available in one size. This pub deserves to be highly rated. Visited again today18th October 2024. Outside of the premises undergoing major regurb. Food and ale as good ad ever and cider also available on the hand pump. Met more people there today. Amazing.

A small group of friends and I attended the Wednesday night quiz at 9pm. Very friendly, warm welcome and chat with pub quiz organiser. We did well in the quiz and won £10. My ticket was drawn to play higher and lower card game after the quiz. Didn't win that one. Great night with lovely, friendly locals that made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back for another quiz at some point and they have bands on 🎶 I will be keeping an eye out for those on social media!

Always a welcome pint after the Wirral way. A PINT of Trappers Hat and the friendly service is great. Shame that having to use a mobile phone app and pay on card is the ONLY way to get a drink though. That was just after the pandemic I believe I wrote that. Thing is now, August 2024 I'm still going there so nothing has changed apart from that app. Would be nice to have somewhere to lock bikes to though 🤔.

Visited New Brighton for some sea air (well, Mersey estuary!) yesterday, and came across the Magazine. What a lovely pub! Good prices, top quality beer, a lovely garden with a view of the water, and very friendly staff. It was busy at lunch time with a good mix of visitors and regulars, families and couples and LGBTQ friendly as well. We sat outside (for which you'd need to be able to do steps and slopes, but there's an accessible toilet off the main bar) but there was a separate dining room which looked nice, and a room off the bar in which they do live music and folk nights. This is just the sort of pub I wish I had within walking distance of my house. Only area for improvement was a few more veggie dishes on the menu, but the food did look amazing.

We love walking along the New Brighton promenade and this pub is a great place to stop for a drink or something to eat!. Its an olde worlde looking pub, good selection of beer and decent wine. We have eaten here before and today they appeared to be very busy serving food and it looked good. There is an excellent garden, you are only 100mtrs from the promenade so its worth a stop for refreshments. New Brighton is a good place for a pub crawl and I would certainly add the Magazine to that list!!

Wow, those chips!! Lovely chilled atmosphere, staff were absolutely lovely and the waitress was so sweet! I ordered the gammon which was delicious, this came with garden peas in a separate small pot and home cooked chips, now the chips were just something else, they were slightly crisp on the outside but they melted in your mouth. I can't remember the last time I had chips as nice as these! I then ordered a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which to my surprise came with fruit on top, 2 blueberries, a raspberry and a physalis! I haven't had physalis for ages because not many shops sell them so I was thrilled and said "oh I LOVE physalis!" So the lovely waitress brought me an extra one out! I think we will definitely be returning!

Absolutely loved the place and stayed for the Folk club that is held there every Tuesday.
