We had a lovely dinner out here recently and we both really enjoyed it. The old pub has a really good vibe to it, friendly staff and they serve really nice pizzas especially. There seems to be other stuff going on during the day, such as pottery, a shop and cafe.. worth a visit..

This is our go-to cafe at the weekends with the kids. They have activity sheets for the kids and a reasonable kids menu. All food is served to a high standard and the coffee is good. The staff are friendly and approachable too. The children get offered a lolly when we leave so it’s their number one choice too!

You can get books, coffee and ice cream from here as well as a few other things. I used to love the salads here but they are gone so now I either have a ham or tuna sandwich with salad and crisps. Both are good but I would rather have a pot of mayo or aioli with the tuna sandwich than chutney. The coffee is really nice as is the ice cream. WiFi password is long and difficult so never use but I suppose that is laziness on my part. It’s always busy and staff are friendly but not a lot of competition for a quick bite or drink. I rate 4 out of 5 and would give 5 if they brought the amazing salads back.

Went for our tea as stuck in the road work traffic. Lovely welcome treats for our dogs and plenty of attention. Lovely pint of Thwaites bitter, and the boss had her usual.bucket of pinot. I had the gammon, and to be honest, it was the best piece of gammon I've had in ages, and the chips were excellent. The Boss had the Chicken Burger, and she loved it as well as the seasoned fries. Lovely well presented food and nice sized portions, not too big and not too small. Bob on. All in all a cracking dog friendly pub with good ale and food

Came early doors, 6pm, for an evening meal with my parents on steak night. Been before, will come again. Food was very nice, cooked as asked for. Friendly service. Hope it continues to provide the standards that have kept us coming back when over that way.

Small cups of coffee ,no tea pots like the old cafe and very expensive for 2 small cups ,cost over £6 and nothing like the cups of coffee the old cafe did, food very expensive n dogs no longer get a sausage, too expensive to take the kids in.

Been here a few times and service and drinks are really good, it’s a shame it’s closing at the end of March but worth a visit before it does, good luck for the future.

Absolutely gorgeous food, lovely smoothies that’s what keeps making me go back now. Great small plate options for kids. The gent serving us this morning was lovely, really kind and helpful and very chatty before we were leaving. We will definitely be back. Delicious food and lovely staff. Also the chef is fantastic the eggs were perfect.

Gone there for a while now, but won’t be returning, customers only allowed the use of 1 toilet when there are 2, the staff lie and say it’s out of use. It’s a coffee shop toilets are needed, the 1 they do allow customers to use is generally covered in urine. It is just this one in huyton village, all the others have never had any problems. Lots of older people need the toilet, food, facilities the staff there need to look after the customer who’s pays their wage a lot more.

I have just had the most amazing Beef Sunday dinner delivered to my door. Every part of it was home made, and you really could tell. The portion was generous, and I wasn’t left feeling hungry. The chocolate cake and custard was lovely too. I will definitely order again :)
