Cafe On Waterlane in Cheshire East

This is our go-to cafe at the weekends with the kids. They have activity sheets for the kids and a reasonable kids menu. All food is served to a high standard and the coffee is good. The staff are friendly and approachable too. The children get offered a lolly when we leave so it’s their number one choice too!

Despite there being a huge "Dog Friendly" sign outside, this cafe is most certainly not dog friendly. I left my husband and dog outside while I went in to check that dogs are indeed allowed inside and was rather rudely told no and shown the door. We went to Surburban Green on Hawthorn Lane instead and we (and our dog) were made extremely welcome. Whilst I completely understand that we can't expect to take our (very well behaved) dog into every establishment, when that establishment advertises itself as "dog friendly", that's exactly what it should be!!

Came across the cafe by chance and was so impressed. Tried a Turkish coffee and it was lovely! Also tried the Turkish salad and had to be the best Turkish sausage and the loveliest feta I’ve had! Our waiter was lovely and gave me a recommendation for a future visit which I hope to try. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have been to this lovely cafe twice. On both occasions the staff have been really nice and food has been great. We will definitely be coming back.

First time visit, spoilt for choice on Water Lane. Friendly welcome and a lovely clean interior. Fresh cake and coffee, reasonable prices. Will try a breakfast next time. Those people running this place down with one and two circles, because they don't allow your animal inside, should be ashamed.

Ordered a vegetable panini takeaway and clearly said WiTH SALAD. On the menu at the top it states panini with side salad. It was delivered with awful greasy chips. I rang to complain and they just kept on repeating it comes with chips . Not only does this contradict their menu but I specifically asked for side salad. This has happened four times now where they get the order wrong. Three other times I asked for tuna baked potato without butter and I did not get the correct order because I said without butter.. this happened on three separate occasions . Not going to purchase from this cafe as they don’t listen or don’t understand simple requests.

A delightful cafe. Well presented, great ambience, beautifully clean and very friendly staff. Always made so welcome.

Fantastic cafe where they serve the best breakfast. The team are friendly and welcoming. We come here from Liverpool and no hesitation in recommending.

Amazing! I'd give 10 stars if I could. Morning 5th May - gent serving was brilliant, on top of a tables, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Food was phenomenal! I had the Turkish breakfast and coffee, easily the best breakfast I've had, all my favourite things perfectly executed. Cafe was spotless and welcoming as well. Thank you 😊

We went as a group of 15 pre booked a special banquet with Omar who was so friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing and so much of it! All the staff are pleasant and efficient. This was our second group visit and would definitely recommend.

Stumbled upon this cafe today whilst looking for brunch in Wilmslow. We both enjoyed our Turkish breakfast dishes, served super hot and fresh. Competitively priced, and good portion sizes. Really appreciated the decaf coffee, which was delicious. Warm and welcoming atmosphere-would definitely recommend!

As of today the 1st of March the Café known as Café on water Lane have decided to become very hostile to customers with dogs and put a banning order in place the good news is that across the road almost opposite Next Door to the Jewellers shop is a fantastic little café called the Rise which offers Columbian and Costa Rican blended coffee Home-made sandwiches and cakes and of course a true welcoming for customers with dogs please give them your support
