The Cherry Tree Cafe in Rochdale

probably the nicest breakfast ive ever bought - and the biggest - ate it this morning around 11ish and its now 8pm and im still full - the sausages were delicious long wait though - it seemed like everyone piled in at once and the staff were overrun bit pricey i initially thought but all things considered well worth £13.50 ive had long waits in other cafes and the bacon has fossilised - but not here - it was perfect note to self - next time order the coffee with the meal - not before

Called in the cherry tree cafe for a coffee and sat outside .this place is a hidden gem for anyone who is not familiar with Littleborough . It was really busy for mid Saturday morning and also noticed the restaurant was also full of customers . The young gentleman who served me was called seb and he had impeccable manners which is always a good sign in my opinion . All in all this place is well worth a trip 😁

Four friends came for a spot of lunch and couldn't have been happier. We sat out in the sunshine. Two ordered veggie breakfast that looked delicious two ordered the soup and sandwich, which I was one of them and that was delicious. The broccoli soup was so tasty. I also love my coffee and was not disappointed they use Bee worker coffee beans if I remember rightly and there were superb.

Staying with family for the weekend and one suggested Cherry Brekkie…..let’s have it! Very busy small cafe, seating about 35 people and was packed! Lucky to get a table! Cherry breakfast, buttered toast, 2 eggs to your liking, bacon, mushrooms, hash brown, black pudding, white pudding, beans, tomatoes and 2 amazing sausages, complemented by a cup of tea for only £10.75 !! Excellent service, simple menu, and quality food! Normally, you’d expect a cafe of this size and location to be serving Aldi fayre…..not a chance!! Will be back again and again

Been here now dozens of times. The team are always very nice and the food is great. Nothing is ever too much. It’s also been so much better since Sharon has owned it. Such a nice lady. Well done guys!

I have Visited here numerous times its a Lovely friendly cafe , food is fresh . Great breakfast! Lunch time offers and friendly staff would recommend to anyone

Cherry tree cafe serves a great flat white. Delicious range of meaty and veggie breakfasts and also a varied lunch menu. The staff are lovely. In my opinion it's the best cafe in the area.

Never been to Littleborough before so I don't know my way around but stumbled on this cafe. Gorgeous food, excellent coffee and staff who are so nice and cheerful its infectious. Only sad point is that I am only a visitor and therefore can't go back more often. X

Had a coffee and cake deal here. Both very nice, courtyard area pleasant to sit in. Staff were extremely polite and attentive to customers. Highly recommend.

We called in here after a meeting with the funeral place and just needed to have some lunch and reflect on the morning. The lovely owner was so welcoming and kind and the girls Serving were an absolute joy to speak to. The food was gorgeous. They have an outside area too. Well worth a visit and 5 mins from Hollingworth Lake.

I have eaten at this cafe a number of times in the past, both when it was the Greek cafe and the Cherry Tree, the latter eating in the courtyard also for takeaway cakes and coffee. I could not have recommend it more as much as I did, as has always been nice. This review is not based on the food this time as I have never had a bad experience with food. But the cleanliness and atmosphere. Previously the courtyard setting had a nice Mediterranean vibe with sparrows fluttering about tweeting filling the air with sounds and it was peaceful. However this time was different. I went outside through the cafe and was immediately met with a loud droning noise. We sat on the bench furthest away from the source but it made me feel nauseous it was so deep and loud. Never heard a fan like that before. No birds could be heard or seen. The bench itself was full of spilt salt and food from previous customer, there is no excuse for not wiping down the tables even if it is outside and wooden. The floor had lots of food on also so I had to keep my feet to one side to risk sitting with them plonked in it. After a while waiting to be served we couldn't stand the noise any more, so left round the side where the peace immediately washed over us. These are matters which need addressing to make it the pretty and idyllic little cafe it once was and hopefully my review will be better next time as settings like this place are few and far between.

Cannot recommend Cherry Tree too much. I visited today with my small granddaughter who has multiple allergies causing chronic eczema. The staff COULD NOT have done more to accommodate her needs. I am so impressed by their care and consideration. Nothing was too much trouble and their concern that she enjoyed her meal was impressive. Well done Cherry Tree.

Served quickly, friendly staff. Had the small breakfast which was ample enough! Nice coffee. Felt safe as in booths and gave our details for Track & Trace.

This was our second visit to this cafe very compact with plenty of outdoor seating. The staff were very helpful brought over menus and took our order, I ordered a bacon and egg balm cake and my wife poached egg on toast. The order arrived quickly I checked mine and the bacon was very fatty took most of it off, my wife’s poached eggs were undercooked. Must have picked a bad day.

What a brilliant out of lockdown breakfast. We felt extremely comfortable eating here. The place was spotless, lots of hand sanitizer etc and the food was A1!!! Well done guys!

Came here for drinks after a long train journey, wonderful old building. Cafe very cozy and welcoming. Wide range of food for lunch. We only had drinks in the end as decided too earky for lunch but all the other diners' food looked tasty. The scones on the counter definitely looked worth visiting again for. Will visit again and explore the menu!! Staff all friendly and helpful.

Just had lunch at The Cherry Tree. Lovely place, fab food and excellent service. Well worth seeking out.

Called for lunch with friends ,This cafe is always busy with local customers the food is of great quality and plenty of it We sat oposite a Rugby League player who was struggling with an all day breakfast.I had an omlette and was very full after eating it.So much so that I had to take my obligatory scone home to eat later.Its one thing heaping plates up but when its of this quality being a Yorkshire man it would be rude to leave anything.Well done Sharon and very friendly staff.

Came here for a meal with my family on a Sunday lunchtime. We all had different meals and everyone was really pleased with what they chose. I had the cheese pie and chips, delicious. (I’ve also had the vegetarian breakfast on a previous visit and that was lovely too) The staff are very helpful and were happy to make any changes/ substitutions we requested. Cosy and pleasant environment. Plenty to choose from, and I’m really looking forward to going back. PS. It’s worth booking before you go.

3 of us went for lunch today , the atmosphere was so friendly, staff very helpful , The food was excellent & plenty of it , this wasn't our first visit when every we are in the area it is our port of call.. We will be back very soon ,Thank you .

Had the cherry tree breakfast and it was excellent! Get alot of food and the beans / tomato were in bowls which was nice. I mustn't be as fat as I thought though as couldn't finish. Thanks!

This is the place where I invariably take friends and visitors to if we are in Littleborough. They serve unpretentious British food at good prices and decent portions. I especially recommend the home made cheese and onion pie. The staff are friendly and efficient and the place has a great atmosphere.
