Very friendly welcome and fantastic service throughout our visit. We were a large group of kids and adults and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, catering to our fussier members too. Fantastic food and loads of it. The service was incredibly quick too especially given the large number of us. Thoroughly recommend.

Quite noisy and couldn't concentrate when I volunteered here and it got too much but staff are friendly.

Since it is half term i thought id treat the kids to a nice little cafe breakfast. The girls are really friendly, the cafe is clean and the choice of food on menu is perfect. It is all freshly cooked while you wait, the kids LOVED the little toy corner - the dolls house, kitchen and blackboard are a really nice touch and it kept the kids entertained while they waited. The wait was small, the kids really enjoyed their milshake and my breakfast was lovely. A really reasonable bill, fantastic and really kind service. We will be back after such a wonderful experience

This was the last bar we went in on our visit to Barnard Castle and it was the best. Wish we'd found it earlier! Great selection of drinks (perfect pint of Blue Moon) and very reasonable prices. Toilets were immaculate, but not enough of them (my only very small issue!). Highly recommended.

Why was this place nearly empty? It should be full!!!!! The cheese scone was just out of the oven and was delicious! The coffee as great and the prices very reasonable in my opinion. The staff were very friendly and the cafe also has loads of craft things for sale which were high quality. Go there you will enjoy it!

Amazing friendly pub/inn Set in a lovely village. Rooms were great and clean. Breakfast was perfect. Stayed here as were at KYNREN (2.5 miles away). So much more to do around the area too Had a great night as there was a village raffle on at night. All the locals super friendly too . Many thanks to George and his team for a great stay

What an amazing find! Others had wonderfully generously filled breakfast rolls and I had the best scones EVER, one savoury, one sweet. Such friendly service too, What's not to like!?

Lovely place! Great food ,drinks were spot on! Service was excellent ,friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was brilliant. Lots of auto memorabilia and vintage vehicles to drool over whilst you eat. Will highly recommend! Ps,Dog friendly.

Love this place and have been multiple times. I reserved a table for 2 people on this visit and went with my baby also. When we arrived we were seated at a table for 2 and had our order taken. Shortly after getting our food the staff saw I was struggling to feed the baby in the space we were in and we were offered a bigger table in a quieter spot which was hugely appreciated. They moved all the food and drinks for us while I got settled. So attentive! The staff are always super friendly, food is amazing and the mochas are the best around. Will be back again soon. 50s Tea room was stepping a bit back in time. The staff had great customer service, attentive & smiles. The dress & ration books used for the menus has a nice personal touch,with the decor. I had todays special of feta and red pepper quiche with sweet potato fries & hubby had smoked salmon & cream cheese sandwich with chunky chips. 2 diet cokes came to £27.30 A reasonable price. In Market square, Bishop Auckland.
