Friendly service, tasty coffee. Usual Costa snacks. Plenty of space to sit when I visited but the seating area is rather drab. Basically you won't want to spend any time other than the necessary.

Poor service outstripped food. Waited over half an hour fur a child's toastie , desert and a bowl of fries . By the time they came , child was upset , coffee cold . No condiments offered , portions are small for the price , by the time you taste it , it's gone . Poor service , poor value for money . Too many staff wandering around . No organisation.

Food was good but cutlery was filthy and the tables were disgusting. The first knife I picked up still had food on it. Hard to find clean ones.

Went in for a sandwich and hot drink at lunchtime. The drinks were OK as was my wife's baguette. My baguette, though, was as tough as old boots. Even though I ended up leaving half of it I still had indigestion. Won't be back I'm afraid.

Cannot fault them fish and chips are fab fish skin removed been few times now personally best in the town

I go to taste of home alot for breakfast or lunch the food is always brilliant prices are fantastic staff are absolutely amazing i would recommend taste of home to everyone

Stopped here for some breakfast and the service was absolutely amazing and fast. The staff was very friendly and the food tasted great.

I would highly advise that you don't waste your time visiting this Starbucks and wasting your money whilst raising your blood pressure. The staff have no idea what they are doing and this is the THIRD time they have given me the wrong order because they are not reading the orders correctly because they are on their phones constantly. What business allows their staff to have their phones while working in a busy store?? It is unorganised and they are completely incompetent in what they do. They are badly trained and have no concept of Customer service, it's a disgrace, don't waste your money.

Manager from another branch called CHLOE some blonde lass has the worst attitude available, cant make drinks to save her life and openly and loudly made a remark about my drink she made wrong in which she acknowledged in her snide remark. As a manager you need to be fired and retrained, as a person please learn some manners and respect because lord almighty you are a rude woman

Didn't taste nice, chips seemed like they had been on the side and just warmed up, didn't taste fresh, fish was bland. part of my order was missed off and although they delivered it to me it didn't make it up for the food quality and it was too expensive for what I ordered.

5 item breakfast. If you are going to compete with the other cafes in Chester-le-Street you have to been good. There are a number to chose from and ones that have been established for decades. Cafe 91 has been going for a few years and I have visited about 2-3 times. I ordered a 5 item breakfast for £4.75 (which includes tea or coffee) When they say 5 item breakfast they literally mean that. One rasher of bacon and one small chipolata sausage. One slice of toast. There is an option for a bigger breakfast I would have chosen had I known. The coffee was a filter coffee although it wasn't made via a filter machine. So overall the food wasn't good and service decidedly average.
