Not sure what happened to this place. Was served a frozen burger with frozen fries. For the price, could they not make a burger with fresh cut fries

This is a mom and pop type location, portions were huge and the staff treated us like they knew us for years.

Such a friendly spot in the town of Durham. Excellent food and wonderful staff.

The prices have gone up while the quality and qyantity has gone down

My kids were forced out the door due to 3 adults feeling uncomfortable to stay, the server was coming over with nasty intentions and making everyone at our table feel very awkward and we were pushed out with icecream in their hands, on a snowy day. She was upset that someone asked for mayo on their poutine and didn't take the order correctly and put it on the side. When the customer asked for a fix she was very angered. Manager doesn't do much about it 💜 stay safe 😕 😊 there's one server there who's exceptional but until this one is replaced or spoken to I don't think I'll be returning 💜

Was a tad too warm in the building, we were sweating. The servers & food were perfect. We'll definitely come back

This is a diner. It is not high art cuisine or a destination resort. If you want good clean diner food, then this place will fit the bill

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time but was never able too. Finally my first time here and the food and service was excellent. I got takeout but I could see and hear that the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasing. I will be returning.

The restaurant was packed, but service was very good and food came quickly considerably how busy everyone was. The fish and chips were really good We enjoyed our meal

Me and my girlfriend went out for anniversary dinner there it was my 1st time ever eating this was my 1st time ever eating there I think her 2nd or 3rd but we both bird but we both very much enjoyed it and the broccoli and the broccoli cheddar bites were amazing I wasn't sure I was yeah I wasn't sure I was gonna like them but they tasted great The service and food did not disappoint the lady was very interactive and very friendly Just went there for the first time in a couple years today for breakfast it was fairly packed but they were quick to seat me was good food good service they were friendly people well have to go again soon

Small, often busy, good simple home cooked food. A greasy spoon, in the finest tradition of the service. Very clean. Locals dominate so expect to wait if you're an out of towner.

The staff were some of the friendliest and most attentive I have had the privilege of meeting in a long time, and that's not just because of the pandemic. All our meals came out hot and were excellent. I had the meat omelette and it was stuffed with meat! Coffee was always full and it was a great experience.

Been going over two years, so far everything has been great,. From juicy burgers, not greasy fish and chips, soups and sandwiches and now one my favs, Thursday taco night, so many types, soft or hard shell and each full hot and fresh. Always awesome keep it up!!!! Thanks

Place is very clean, food was good and the staff are very friendly. The place is a home to regulars. Just one thing is that the prices are a little to high.

Not a friendly place at all, well ignored when arrived. We sat down at a table in the outdoor seating area for 5 minutes. Not even a coffee offered, gave up and left.

Stopped here on our way through. My husband had the club sandwich with fries and gravy. It was perfect and I had the eggs Benedict which was delicious. I don't even know how the home fries tasted so good. Friendly fast service. We will definitely stop here again.

We all got burgers. The burgers are so juicy and fresh. The fries where fresh and crispy.

Excellent food friendly service

Unpretentious homely breakfast joint with options for a quick brunch or lunch. No vegetarian options. Had the cauliflower cheese soup and the tomato harvest soup. Both soups were tasty with a touch of eating home cooked food. Had the peameal bacon which is truly Canadian. Would recommend it for a Canadian breakfast.

Went to this restaurant for breakfast with my family and their food was so good and portions are fairly big. Service was exceptionally great. This place was really busy but service was really quick. Recommend this restaurant with five stars and will definitely return.

Worth stopping here for sure, great fresh food and customer service.

Bah! I was there 3 years ago and they had the mist amazing club sandwich on ciabatta bread..ideas looking forewards to it. BUT! IS NO LONGER .I was disappointed with the regular holsum bread nothing special and it was pricey too. Won't go back.

Has everything I love about good old fashioned diner. Good fun. Was greeted enthusiastically and it sets tone!!! Ordered the banquet burger and it was no disappointment. Cooked perfectly, juicy and great flavour. Nice salad that was fresh and it was like it was just made. Great. I enjoyed our stop here and it’s worth the visit when we’re back in town.

Great little restaurant. Good home made style food, very reasonably priced. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely plan on returning next time we are up in Durham.
