While the food was on time the quality wasn’t the best, the type of bread wasn’t the type ordered and the sauce had been slapped on the corner of the food. So disappointing as normally food is lovely. To top it off the delivery person left it on the doorstep and just drove off.

Order food to the wrong address the shop would not allow the driver to bring it to my new address the shop was very rude, the driver was lovely and really tried to help

Order marked as delivered but it has not been delivered. Driver service is absolutely shocking. You'd think if someone didn't know where I lived they would ring my number and ask.

Food was hot, didn’t get cucumber but it isn’t that big of an issue, cookie was warm which I liked.

Paid for extra cheese on the sub however no cheese was put on at all. Slightly disappointed

It's good to grab something on the go. Subways are pretty standardised these days. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's shares the building with a post office.

Walked in fancied a subway . I was greeted by a bright , cheerful and enthusiastic girl who was small brown hair. Made a fantastic 12 inch Sandwich. Would recommend

Great tasting sub with crisps and a drink for a reasonable price.

Visited this place for a foot long mega meat sub for £6 but did not get a drink and to be honest you cannot go wrong for the price the sub was absolutely loaded with different kinds of meat as well as salad a hot chilli sriracha sauce, it will not be the last time I visit this place for one of them in the future, the staff were great too always asking me what I wanted on the sub and how much and they did a great job of it, very good place for a take out snack. 👍

The layout of the shop isn't the best. Food is always great but staff aren't always. Depends on who takes your order. Smiles are a rarity.

Ordered on Uber eats driver sat in same spot for about 20 minutes until I messaged him then food got here cold and my girlfriends sandwich was wrong phone them up and told them it was wrong they said once it’s with the driver it’s nothing to do with them attitude stinks

The service is the most miserable service I've ever had anywhere. No smile cracked and they just throw your sandwich together with no effort now I know it's just a sandwich but they don't even look where they're putting the filling most of it is at one end of the bread!

Nice subs but need to take more pride in presentation and correct the bun to salad to meat to sauce ratio.

Usually a friendly service but the service today I felt uncomfortable. Server spoke and looked at me with an attitude and blunt and when I politely addressed her about how uncomfortable I was she got angry and didn't have the decency to apologise and carried on speaking to me like s**t.

This has to be the poorest one I have been to staff are miserable I mean really miserable portions are tiny and if you ask for any more salad they glare ah you and throw a leaf of lettuce on.

Amazes me how prices vary across stores. I always get the same orders and pay such different prices! I always enjoy what I get though. The best fast food! Great move from plastic containers to cardboard boxes for salads! I highly recommend Subway.

Took a family member who lived nearby shopping prior to Christmas 2019. Overstayed in the free three hour car park by 11 minutes although 3 minutes was waiting to exit. They wanted £100 excess parking charge. Refused to pay and now being harassed for the money. Written to castledene management numerous times but they ignore me completely. The centre itself is dull, depressing and lifeless in a very deprived area. Not worth a visit and there are better centres just a short drive away. Avoid.

Not as good as it used to be. Don't get anywhere as much salad in the sandwiches and was disappointed with the salad bowl purchased.

Staff friendly and helpful. Food looks and smells amazing, though ive not had any, i only go in for lattes. These seem to be watered down though, & taste a bit nasty

Been to this subway a couple of times now. No more!!! This branch offers the smallest sandwich fillings and salads! If you want a subway I wouldn’t recommend this one on the sheer portion sizes alone. The one at dalton park on the one on the A19 are miles better. It’s like living off rations

We visited Subway at Akureyri in Northern Iceland . just like the one at home. Experienced staff. Sandwich made to order. Just perfect . well worth the money .

This shop never fails to disappoint. It's dirty, the staff do not change their gloves when making sandwiches after handling money, they chew gum while serving and the sandwiches look thrown together. When a sandwich is toasted somehow it comes out stale instead of toasted. The temperature in the salad bar is wrong so the salad end up frozen, see through and limp. This branch really needs sorting out.

Chicken tikka in sweet onion dressing was nice. The rest if the salad was crispy fresh and plentiful. Service friendly been a few times all decent quality.

Very close to the bus station and Castle Dene Commercial part of Peterlee. Excellent place to drink a cup of coffee before or after doing the shopping. The Post Office is also within Subway. Warning: They do not accept £50 notes

I went in today ( Tuesday 9th ) and walked out after being seemingly oblivious to the lady serving.There was only one person being served and the lady serving appeared to be more interested in talking to the customer about her job applications( I suspect they knew each other )..Every time I've been in other Subway shops they ask your order while the sandwich is being toasted but I seemed invisible to the "subway artist"..The Tuesday offer they had on was great but there are other Subway shops nearby in garages and I will go there in future and went to the Supermarket next door..My 1st visit and doubt I will be back...adding the Post Office that houses this franchise is fine & never had a problem there

I used to eat regularly here. But they stopped doing Salad of the day £2.19. Then you had to pay for a meal deal which includes a drink £3.00. Lately, no drink included, and it's over £3.50 for a tuna salad. I stopped buying my food here. I better bargains to be had elsewhere.

Really pleasant staff and they alway to a great job with my food.

Popped in a few times whilst working up the town centre. It fills a gap for a while. always decent. If you don't say just a little bit sauce they will lace it, so be sure to tell them how YOU like it.

The most hottest Subway I've ever walked into, but all is well. Nice friendly staff, fresh tasty food. I recommend the chicken teriyaki on herb bread. Toasted of course!

Peterlee need to add more salad to the salad box, its all lettuce and very small amounts of everything else. they could do with training at Wynyard Services Subway they are so much better. Having said that the staff are nice and friendly and the food is tasty. Just need MORE SALAD please !!!!

Pan seco, casi cualquier sub ensalada ingredientes frescos. No hay queso para nachos que mi novio no podía comer. Servidor sentado en volver en su teléfono antes de venir a servirme, me sentí muy incómodo pidiendo podría al menos me dio una sonrisa mientras im titubeos mi orden, vergüenza pensar. Los suelos estaban sucios. Ventana rotas. Cuando no hay seres pidiendo ir personal en el poco atrás y hablar muy alto por ir" en la "sesh después del trabajo. Nunca volver de nuevo, no te recomiendo altamente!!

Service was excellent and food was good can't complain at all. It's got a car park right next to it so it's easy to gain access as well

24/04/16- 2 members of staff. Both so rude. One just stood leaning on the side the other took about 10 mins for each sandwich. So smiles and rude comments. The 'toasted' sandwich was cold without the cheese melted. Terrible experience

Subway food as standard. Oh and it's attached to a post office, must see, weird as. Got an 11inch Italian BMT, few Jalapeños, can't remember the sauce, was nice though. Sent a first class parcel while I was there

The staff can be rude at times and there food hygiene is some of the worst I have ever seen . The place needs a good clean , it might share a building with a post office but that is no excuse . I travel to Seaham or Dalton park now if I fancy Subway . A real let down for the local area

The woman who served me was really nice and helpful but the place just looked horrible and like it needed a good clean. When the sandwich was toasted it still came out stone cold and they re heated it for me and it was still cold. It didn't taste like any other Subway i had anywhere else and it gave me a bad stomach. Wouldn't recommend this subway.

Went there for a quick snack service was terrible I don't speek very good English the person serving me was very rude saying I should go back to my own country since I cant speek very clearly also was told by another staff member that I'm polish scum and should get out of her country they threw the sandwich at me while shouting get out of England I was very upset I would never go back

Called in with my daughter for a sandwich and a salad. The shop is used as a corridor for customers going to the post office, so it appears busier than it actually it's. Nothing friendly about the staff, saw the man that had served us wearing gloves, he handled cash, notes and coins then continue serving and preparing food. Sat for over 15 minutes, watching two staff handle food and money, no hand washing and gloves were never changed. Not impressed.

This Subway is part of the Castle Dene shopping centre, which is owned by the company Praxis (at the time of my visit). I went in for a quick sandwich and did not expect any other standard than the other Subways that I have "tested" across Europe, but this was awful and it felt unhygienic.I left my sandwich unfinished.

I had to remind the awful woman serving me to remove her dirty gloves. Which she had used to operate the till and take money with. What happened to the customer is always right as in this case I Was. Face like a fiddle red and awful attitude get a grip I don't want filthy money germs in my sandwiches dirty woman

like all subways you cant fault the food here. althoigh the staff in peterlee seem set in adding more sauce than necessary so its all you can taste. the staff are terrible! talking to friends and each other instead of serving. smoking outside then coming in and serving without washing their hands and serving the food in the clothes they just smoked in! eating whilst serving! the shop is always cold as the door is always open. the seating is poor and sitting in is awful as people going to the post office have to pass you and there is no toilet available to customers
