I was very disappointed in the 'big' cheese toastie that I was served whilst visiting. There was hardly any filling inside the very well-done toast. The chips were anaemic and cold. Due to the coffee shop being very busy, two ladies came to and sat with myself on my table. One of the ladies had ordered a cheese scone, and when she cut into it as it was dry, her friend went to the counter for another scone. The scone was replaced. However, this was also returned as it wasn't cooked properly. The customer was given a refund. Due to the snack I was served and the experience of the other customer, I will not be revisting upon my next visit to Dalton Park.

I've been here before in the afternoon and had a great scone and coffee. This morning however my scone must have been yesterday's and straight from the fridge as it was so cold , hard and dry, I didn't want to make a fuss because of the Elderly lady I was with. Throw yesterday's scones in the bin please.

Miserable rude abrupt staff. Same as others wait forever for your drinks even though no one was before us. No wonder other places were full

Coffee and scone - they had no fruit or cheese so had white chocolate and 1 cranberry. They were very doughy - not nice and overpriced. Not a good experience

We visit every week - My wife is a barista and I’m a coffee fanatic, always have a flat white and a black americano, perfect every time. Had various food choices at each visit, cannot fault. Fantastic choices in cakes and tray bakes! We’ll be back next week.

Worst coffee ever, very bitter so much so it leaves your mouth dry and that was a cappuccino, my husbands flat white was just as bad. No thanks. Overpriced rubbish.

The cheese scones on display look very nice, unfortunately you don't get one of those. They serve a dry hard splodge of dough from under the counter and charge £3. It is impossible to cut them in half to butter them. Take a chain saw! Service is extremely slow. Not a patch on Thorntons that was there before.

Food v average. Weak milky cappuccino. Member of staff (red haired) delivering food to the table spotted someone she knew and came out with the foulest language in a v loud voice.

Been to this cafe quite a few times but today we ordered poached eggs on bloomer toast and were highly disappointed. For £7 each I thought it would come out nicely presented and tasty. What we got was 1 dry thin slice of toast (no butter provided) and 2 small poached eggs which were hard. Can't believe the price for what we got (£14 altogether for 2)

Absolutely disgraceful. Over priced ! To start with the poached egg and avocado, the bread was stale, the eggs were hard hard and tasted plastic and to top that off the avocado wasn’t edible! I had the festive flat bread, the turkey was definitely not turkey, it was out of a packet it smelt and tasted rotten, the flat bread was stodgy and the stuffing tasted like it has been out of date for a long time! Over all will never go back, better off going to Wetherspoons!

Just witnessed staff asking person in a wheelchair to leave cafe. Stating there is no room in this cafe for people in wheelchairs. Outright discrimination.

Could be because I chose to visit here before the rest of the centre was open but OMG serving stale scones from the previous day! I even knew by the look of them on the plate and when I asked if it could be changed the only reply was 'they are all like that'. Disappointing!!!

Disappointing Afternoon Tea. Although we had booked a week in advance, it seemed to come as a surprise to the staff that we had turned up. We ordered our drinks at the counter and they arrived about 10 to 15 minutes before the afternoon tea. Good points: Sandwiches nice. Fruit scone swapped for a plain scone ( but this request should have been made at time of booking) . Jam and plenty of cream for scones. Not so good points: Scones and sponge cakes quite dry. Staff not interested, when I went to buy another drink, they were having a personal conversation and ignored my presence at the counter until they were finished. Overall opinion; £25 for 2 cream teas isn't a bad deal, but the quality of the food and the service definitely needs improvement. Would not go back.

I visited on Mother’s Day with my son and husband. I chose the smashed avocado for £7.50. It arrived served on one very small piece of toast with a couple of cherry tomatoes halved and 2 tiny cubes of feta cheese. My husband got Yorkshire rarebit which again was a small portion and tasted overwhelmingly of mustard. My son’s toastie was equally poor. Tiny slices of bread with a small handful of chips. The coffee was good. Shame really as the staff were friendly and helpful. My son paid and it cost him over £35. A rip off really. I won’t be going back there for food.

We had lunch and coffee. The coffee was good but the food was disappointing for the price. Bland toasted sandwich on white sliced bread and a minestrone soup that lacked flavour. We will try somewhere else next time.

Typical services coffee outlet, okay service and drinks fine and reasonably priced. Every other item, food, biscuits and cakes extortionate.

After having been closed for a couple of years the pub is now due to re-open on the 31st October 2024. Greene King are saying that the re-opened pub will revert to it's former name of 'The Sportsman's Arms' (in recent years it had been named 'The Belmont'). I've given a three star (average) review as I haven't a clue yet what the pub will be like - I just thought it might be useful to post that it is re-opening soon but I can't work out how to post without giving a rating. I'm hoping to return with a five-star review soon!!

Stayed for one night, after attending a wedding close by. Ive never stayed in a pub/hotel before, but i was impressed. The room was spacious, clean and warm. Only criticism is the bed, it was a bit hard. Breakfast was delightful, really well cooked and good quality and the other options were good. Price was reasonable and i would stay again.
