Disappointed..... On arrival looked dirty, like a messy garden storage area. In cafe staff chatty but hygiene was poor, girl with long dark hair standing behind counter with bright green/ yellow nail extensions was picking between her teeth and mouth then picking plates and using the till! Absolutely disgusting........ Really grubby low class feel to the place, Ashame as good outdoor space when warm weather, but won't return.

Not somewhere I would visit again. We went in for a snack and a hot drink as we were early for a funeral. The coffee and the hot chocolate was okay. Two of us had a bacon sandwich, the bacon was so overcooked it was inedible. The tuna sandwich wasnt much better, it looked and tasted very bland. It's a shame as this cafe is situated in a perfect location, but it was just the food that let it down for us.

Not sure what is happening to this pub, think it maybe closing. On 3 consecutive weeks, I have taken my elderly parents for lunch, or tried, each time, a notice on door, "kitchen closed", the reason we have tried is that we have had splendid lunches before.Last Saturday, arranged to meet friends for a social drink, but the pub was completely closed. A wasted journey and very disappointed.Such a shame as this was a lovely local pub.

Came especially to this pub because it's dog friendly which it is but it wasn't as good an experience as we thought it would be. Staff were nice. Food was nothing special and very boring Sunday menu. We asked if we could sit outside because it was warm but they don't serve food outside. Also ordered sausages from the children's menu to give our dogs and they said we couldn't do that as they're not allowed to prepare food for dogs by law which is complete nonsense as I work in law myself and no such law exists. Not asking them to cut it up or anything - just to cook it like they would on the child menu and put it on a plate. If it's edible for humans then why can't I cut it up and give it to our dogs. Absolute nonsense. We fed the dogs some of our food instead and they didn't stop us doing that so no idea why we couldn't have the sausages and some rubbish about it being a law. I suggest they go and read the law on this then because no such law exists as frequent lots of dog friendly places where food is cooked and have been allowed to give it to my dogs which include sausages.

The new owners are deluded and the food is awful at best. The cafe used to have an open inviting feel but has been cut in less than half and is now small & dinghy. The food is atrocious and the chef is clearly useless and frankly needs to learn how to cook. The 5 star reviews relate to the previous excellent owners and to the time food was wonderful & te restaurant invariably packed, under Donna & her husband. Massive loss to the community. Don’t go here unless you’re a mug.

The Cafe was generally untidy and the toilet facilities were diabolical ( soap dispenser broken and tissue all over the floor ! ) … It was NOT a pleasant experience. - The gentleman who appeared to be in charge, was unhelpful with an attitude !! .. Think twice before you decide to visit .. (just saying !! )

Popped in for lunch. £10 for an absolutely awful Margherita pizza! Frozen pizza but got told only the base is frozen and they add the cheese and tomato and more cheese and more cheese. Took one bite; sent it back, complained and walked out. Bottle of water was nice though and ideal to take away because they don’t give you a glass. In fact they don’t give you a napkin of cutlery either unless you ask for it. With a handful of school kids in there, it seems to me that adults generally steer clear. I have no problem paying £10 and above for a good pizza but that isn’t what they are offering and it was insulting that they actually had the audacity to serve this to someone. I have also attached a photo of what a proper pizza looks like as they obviously don’t know
