Ace Coffee And Bagel in Havering

Popped in for lunch. £10 for an absolutely awful Margherita pizza! Frozen pizza but got told only the base is frozen and they add the cheese and tomato and more cheese and more cheese. Took one bite; sent it back, complained and walked out. Bottle of water was nice though and ideal to take away because they don’t give you a glass. In fact they don’t give you a napkin of cutlery either unless you ask for it. With a handful of school kids in there, it seems to me that adults generally steer clear. I have no problem paying £10 and above for a good pizza but that isn’t what they are offering and it was insulting that they actually had the audacity to serve this to someone. I have also attached a photo of what a proper pizza looks like as they obviously don’t know

Take away ice creams are good. Plentiful and loads of flavours. Would give 5 stars for take away ice cream. However ordered food to take away. Took 15 mins of waiting to be told what we ordered was frozen and can’t be defrosted. So ordered something else. Chips ok. Not great no salt no vinegar so no real flavour. The burger was half the size of the bun. Meant to be quarter pounder. Definitely not. Was rock hard on the outside and the bun was dry and rock hard as well. Like it’s been microwaved or left out too long. So ice cream to take away great. Food will give it a miss.

My friend and I ordered ice cream and water to have in. After 45 minutes of waiting we asked for the ice cream to go as we had waited long enough for something that takes minutes to prepare and seconds to get out of a fridge. Too many staff who didn’t know what they were doing - poorly run and definitely won’t be coming back.

Ordered a delivery for ice cream (they haven’t updated their trip advisor to cover that they also do ice cream now) at 7pm......didn’t turn up until 8:45pm - one complete dessert missing which when we complained they said had been sent to a different customer! They said they would send out a further one......9:30 we rang the number, which cut us off, then we called the actual branch and they said it had left “20minutes ago”(9:10). It eventually turned up at 10:00pm whereas we had already left our friends house because with two tired children and an earful of wasted breath excuses and broken promises they are going to deliver when everyone else had finished their dessert and heading home and we are still awkwardly waiting, we left! It took us 12 minutes to drive through Upminster where Ace was (ironically as they were closing!) as it was on our way home - so why should it take 45 minutes - I expect a refund as the ice cream had to be chucked away as we had left. Ruined the mood of the evening. Bad service! If you can’t deliver to the outskirts - then don’t offer it!!!! I won’t be going in there for kid treats, there’s a much friendlier and far more popular place down the road!!!! 😡😡😡

First of, they do nice food...especially bagels But, the amount of times I've been in here and they get the order wrong and the time it takes to make a bagel is outstanding (15-20 mins every time). I can't see how the process can take longer than 5-10 minutes to knock out a standard bagel recipe. Must do better

I can't rate these guys highly enough! I've used them for coffees and muffins for business meetings and they are amazing! Excellent quality, outstanding customer service. Polite, friendly and helpful.

First time of visiting. Had a chicken, bacon and cheese bagel. It was packed, and came with a salad garnish. The cappuccino was from really good coffee and pleasingly served hot- some coffee shops serve at luke warm or not much above. Good cakes also. Service very friendly and polite. The environment inside is also clean and relaxing, for being so central. Highly recommended. My recommendation would be for the cafe to have a couple of chairs for people to wait, as we saw an older man standing and waiting. We will be back soon.

Gave wrong order three time found one hair on plate and hair in ice cream and the service was terrible

Been to this place 3-4 times now with family and friends and have to say it’s one of my favourite places in Upminster. Bagels taste great; the shakes are amazing as are the smoothies and to top it off the management (esp owner Hassan) goes out of his way to please. Definitely worth visiting! Looking forward to trying their new Peri Peri offering too!
