Dinner was brilliant, had chicken skewer! Was lovely and well presented. Manager Emily was very cheerful and funny and waitress swati was lovely

Terrible service, we were seated and basically ignored while the waitress lambasted the girl who seated us. After 20 mins we had not even been acknowledged, yes the server was busy but working in hospitality myself, all it takes is a quick “ hello, we are really busy but will try not to keep you waiting” We had booked too so really not impressed. Can’t comment on the food as we left before our order was taken, 25 mins after we were seated.

Recently attended with my partner. Seated quickly on arrival, food was good and service from our waiter Bailey was quick, attentive and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit!

I had a meal here with my family recently and nothing was too much trouble, even with slight ‘changes’ to what we wanted with our meals to what was advertised. We were served by Bailey and his attentiveness and service throughout our whole visit was great. We would definitely come back, and actually request Bailey as our waiter (if he was on shift)

Went along on Easter Saturday with my daughter. Tried items from the new menu, Seabass & Chicken kebab. Very impressed and good portion sizes. And of course Bailey served us while keeping us entertained. Always smiling and keeping calm even when the restaurant is busy.

We as a family of 9 had a lovely time and the meal perfect each steak cooked as requested. Staff were great attentive and friendly. We would have stayed longer except our table was already booked for the next guests. so we sat in the Bar for coffee. Couldn’t quite understand why we had to move when the restaurant had other tables vacant but not set up for guests that’s the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise great

Excellent service here tonight, came for dinner and drinks with my partner. Food was lovely, drinks were brought quickly and the service from Bailey was wonderful. Lovely evening and so much better than a previous not so great experience!

A large group of us have been eating here twice a week for the past 6 weeks. In that time we have met all of the staff who work at the pub. They are all very lovely and have great customer service, service with a smile & nothing was ever too much trouble. At times the restaurant was busy so service was slower, but a busy pub is good and they dealt with it well & the customer service didnt slip. The restaurant is clean, the bar always seemed to be busy with people drinking and socialising. Any issues we're resolved quickly, the food and drinks were good. Especially the Rioja and Steaks.... Big thank you to the team, Bailey, Emma, Sheetal, Swati, Taylor, Abbie, and Emily. You are great 😊 Team M.

Food is OK but the service is extremely slow and under staffed. Takes a long time to order and get your food and drinks.

Ten of us went to the Liberty Bell after seeing the brilliant panto at Brookside theatre last night. The service was excellent and Bailey our waiter was polite, efficient and very friendly. He was more than a waiter and made our visit one to remember. Several of us had come quite a distance and appreciated his efforts in getting our order spot on with a smile and a joke along the way. We all had a really good meal and were on our journeys back home feeling good. Thanks very much Bailey. If we are ever in the area again we will be sure to drop in again.

Planned special 90th birthday lunch Sunday 6th April for 14 people.We were herded to 2 separate tables instead of the one large one requested and agreed when booked.The manageress was surly and unhelpful although the waiting staff were great. There were many items on the menu that were unavailable, the person in charge managed to ruin a special occasion, and made several loyal and frequent customers vow never to return.

Service by Bailey was very friendly, respectful, and fast. We enjoyed our meal, including desert.

The worst experience there.The service was rude with east europien lady ,the food was snall portion.I ordered mix platters and i asked extra mush potato,the lady sad icannot order extra but i can swap with something .this is a Joke?so i swapped the chips with mush.On platter was a small bbq ribs ,small pieces dry chicken,and corn all serve on try with paper.I have to removed the paper under the food to not eat together with paper😂 My boyfriend ordered steak and steak was not fresh .Taste soured. And soup not available on sarurday. We didnt complaining ,but im not reccomended this place to noone,we not coming back anymore.

The worst service I have ever had. The service here is rude and, I just hope it was not racist, a lady with east eurpoean accent,.refused to give her name. She seemed angry and bitter. I would rather go hungry than come back here. the service is zero for me

Terrible food,terrible staff,terrible everything

Had lots of things unavailable, even tartar sauce, my chips were slightly under cooked and mushy peas only just warm.

Waited 10 minutes to get seated, only half the menu, no steak and fish dishes available, dreadful rude service, NEVER AGAIN.

Worse dining experience I have ever dealt with. Waited 15 minutes to be seated, when we finally get seated they wait until we are about to order to then tell us half of the food is not available. We then go to order our food and my partner (27) gets asked for ID for a cider. Now by law, even a 16 year old can have a cider/wine or beer with their food when with an adult. Even after explaining this to the manager he agrees but then checks with the regional manager who then refused to let anyone under 18 have an alcoholic drink even with a meal. Even with a 40% off voucher we subsequently told them it’s pathetic and we all walked out and spent our money elsewhere.

Food was good and service excellent although a little slow. Had a number of things that weren't available but managed to find alternative items to eat😋

Booked a table for 12 people, gave weeks of notice. Arrived at 3pm, table was ready! Plenty of empty tables, definitely would not call it busy at all. Ordered some drinks.. waited 20 minutes, then reordered them as they forgot us! Been there 30 minutes, then they asked what we wanted for food.. most of us wanted the beef roast, only to be told they didn't have any! 3pm on a Sunday, and you had no roast beef! So we ordered turkey. And a few other meals including 2 kids meals, which we asked to be brought out asap so they could eat.. 30 minutes later they brought out 9 of the 10 adult meals.. they'd forgotten 1 of the meals, and the kids had to wait! Whilst eating a few of us tried to order drinks but couldn't find a waiter/ess.. then spotted 3 of them trying to change a ligh bulb, could not make it up! Asked if we could order something and they said yeah.. and carried on staring at the person stood on the chair trying to change a light bulb. One waiter was great, the rest, not sure what the issue was? Wasn't busy, but they seemed to have no time to serve anyone or clear the tables around us. As for the food that did eventually turn up, the 'turkey' was fake, processed stuff. Won't be going for a roast any time soon!

We had Bailey as our server and what can I say but WOW! he was phenomenal from start to finish! nothing was too much trouble, he was super friendly, super helpful and just an absolute joy. we haven’t had the best experiences with previous beefeaters but he has changed our minds completely! he was just wonderful. an absolute credit to the whole company not only his team , he was just the best!! 10 stars⭐️ I can’t quite put into words how wonderful he was! thank you so much again.

The food and the restaurant were great but it’s the staff that make the real difference. Taylor who looked after me, she is phenomenal at what she does, a genuine credit to your team. Genuine interactions and she was always ensuring everyone was well looked after.

Food is normally good here - not this visit. Waitress got our order completely wrong and was rather argumentative. We ordered another dish which included chicken but was told they had run out of chicken - it was only 1pm! We got a reduction on our bill but not a great exoerience.

Popped in for lunch today, was pleasantly surprised. Ordered from the £8 menu and opted for a gammon steak and a chicken curry. Both were tasty. Also had a side of cheesy chips, wouldn’t recommend. Restaurant was mainly clean. Service was brilliant, could not fault it. Would recommend a visit.

The service was slow and when we came to order our meal they had no sirloin steak ordered a fillet instead I have never seen or tasted such a poor steak I could not eat it then if you can believe it they ran out of chips. I have eaten at loads of beefeaters over the years and been very happy with the food and service but this one is just awful don’t waste your money

My daughter booked a meal here for my husbands 60th and they really did us proud , manager Emily was amazing and nothing was too much trouble , our server Bailey was outstanding he served 24 of us with a smile on his face and went the extra mile you are very lucky to have him don’t let this employee go

Bailey was absolutely amazing, extremely friendly whilst still maintaining professionalism. Would have preferred proper roast potatoes rather than the typical frozen like ones but other than that, great food.

Nice Beefeater. The food is spot on and the service is very good. Big place with plenty of seating, I see a lot of groups for work meals etc which brings a good atmosphere. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Parking is free for a couple of hours but you must enter your registration number when you enter the restaurant. Plenty of parking spaces and the restaurant is nice and clean. This is my go to restaurant when I’m working this area - the breakfast is spot on too

Went there for Boxing Day with my family expecting high expectations Food was very small positions,and overpriced I had to ask the staff if it was a kids portion to the reply “it’s a adult portion, I would never go there again, it spoiled our family meal on Boxing Day, staff was great but food was underrated I would advise everyone to keep clear of this place

Seems to have gone down a bit recently. Never have enough staff and no2 issues with the menu. Can't get a table for 2 when it's half empty as they only have 1 chef. It's a shame as it was a nice place to go.

Booked for 9 for Christmas dinner. Booked for 14:30. Great welcome and chocolates on the table. Great service and always asked if everything was OK and do we need anything. Food was really nice and served in good time and not rushed. Defo booking again for 2025.

We’d been here plenty of times and both food and service had been great. Came today as a family of 4 and unfortunately pretty much half of the menu is unavailable although nothing was said to us when the menus were handed to us. Kids were starving otherwise we would have walked out.

We booked our table for 2.45 on Christmas day, We had to prepay a month in advance and it was £65 per head without drinks. We finally got seated at 3.30. The service was awful [ not enough staff ] I don't think I saw our poor waitress smile once. We waited almost 90 minutes for our food, and eventually got out of there at 6pm. There was no music playing, no atmoshere and the food was dire.. It was tasteless, the portions were very very small [ I literally had 4 strands of cabbage ] it was cold and dry. No wonder you had to pay in advance !.....AVOID !!

Had our Christmas dinner at the Liberty Bell today and have nothing but for the staff. When we got there the staff were very welcoming. Got to out table and found a box of chocolates for the adults and a little tin of coins for my two granddaughters. The service was amazing. All the food came out quickly and piping hot. The staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. I would highly recommend going here.

Here for Christmas dinner, all booked, paid and food prep chosen. Table for 2.45,sested at 3,25. Starter came quite quickly but I'm still here at 4.38 still waiting for our mains. Just been told we still have one ticket in front of us. 1 person serving at bar and one person to serve our area. Terrible service just ignored no info from staff or explaining. First and last time. Avoid at all cost. Wish me luck

The Beefeater staff were commendably clear about handling allergies and provided me with a file which included a breakdown of all dishes, which I greatly appreciated. However, the experience was marred by some frustrations. They were facing supplier issues that limited their menu options, and the food we did receive was bland and took a long time to arrive at the table. Additionally, it was quite challenging to get the server's attention when needed.

Had a lovely meal today. Food was great. Emma our waitress was outstanding, very friendly, happy and helpful. Thank you very much. Have a great Christmas Emma and staff at Liberty Bell.

Food was good when it arrived but waited so long to order drink only 2 of us then same again with the food ordering waited too long the poor waitresses were run off their feet but didn't even look over to see if we wanted anything seem to concentrate more on big tables that were there..for this time of year 1 week before Christmas they were totally understaffed. Ery disappointing evening for my husbands birthday.

Do you want to close this Restaurant down ?. If this is the plan you are going the right way about it. The food was poorly cooked not very hot and very late to the table. I recommend you do NOT dine here.

Booked for 2 people for the Christmas menu, one being a vegan.When seated the server had a list of items unavailable. No turkey, no vegan option and another 7 or so items from the menu missing. The same thing happened last year. The vegan option was a dry piece of quorn. It came with 2 broccoli sticks, gravey and some roast potatoes. The price 19 95! A child on another table had a bigger portion of food then my adult daughter was presented with. My roast dinner came was a bland piece of chicken. Brussels hard, stuffing burnt . I could not understand why my daughter was not at least given brussels, carrots and cabbage as I had. We were seated at 6.20pm left and 8.30pm Service slow. We had 2 courses each. Main and dessert. The guy that seated us was nice. . The server was very slow. No pace, and not over busy either. We have been coming here for years. Its not the same as it was. The music went from Christmas to random songs. No atmosphere at all. We went home and had to cook and order in as we were still hungry. Will not be returning. Such a shame we used to have a lovely Christmas dinner here.

Great food great service but not the warmest of places to eat

The food was nice, but there was nowhere near enough staff to serve customers. We waited so long to order a drink and our mains. To order dessert, we had to try and grab the attention of someone and who did help, but they didn't clear our table. We were in there 2 and a half hours. It was quite cold in there as well.The staff were run off their feet, and our waitress should have finished at 3 and was still there when we left. Management really needs to get more staff. I definitely won't be returning

Very long wait for food. On a busy day, expect to wait an hour for each course and to pay. On a non-busy day, you're lucky if food comes within half an hour.

Problem with gas so limited menu. Totally inadequate levels of staff to provide service. This is not the first time I've complained about this.

Can't believe I've been going to this place for many years and never had a problem. The service was super slow, and it wasn't even busy, but normally, the wait is worthwhile. I ordered a mixed grill and was asked how I would like it cooked well done as always . I do understand that a lot of people like to have the steak leaking Myoglobin all over their plate, contaminating the rest of my mixed grill. But not for me !!!!

The room was good. The breakfast warm.

Another great meal at The Liberty Bell. I have used the Liberty Bell over many years as I live locally and it has changed brands many times. The Beefeater menu is uncomplicated and having visited a few times recently I have been impressed by the comfortable surroundings, the quality of the food and above all the staff! The restaurant is clearly very well managed and the staff always polite, helpful and friendly. On the last 2 occasions we have been served by Bailey who is absolutely delightful. He is friendly, professional and a joy to be your waiter. 2 visits close together, now top of our list to eat out in Romford we are looking forward to our next visit and Whilst all the staff are excellent will seek to have Bailey as our server!

The food is consistently fantastic, with a menu that offers both quality and variety, making every meal a treat. And a special mention for Hasna at reception, who is a genuinely wonderful person. She goes out of her way to make you feel warmly welcomed from the moment you arrive. Had the free steak beefeater was offering for their 50th birthday I had a table booked for 17:30 arrived around 17:10 and was greeted by a young girl who said someone will be with you soon after 10 minutes and still waiting she came back and said I'm new here and don't know how to operate the computer my manager will be out soon then she came back after another 5 minutes and said my manager has told me what to do and directed us to our table overall the food was nice but the service was hit and miss even though it was not busy no fault to our waitress who was new and learning i think she could of had more support from her colleagues

We ate at 14.30 on Monday, very quiet. I said mushy peas were a bit dry, and the waitress changed them immediately.

We visited Sunday evening 3rd Nov and had excellent service from your new waiter Bailey. He was polite attentive and a credit to himself as a person who built a nice rapport with us and is a very good asset to your restaurant .

Booked a Sunday lunch for a couple. Tried to book an earlier slot but all were full as there was a promotion going on. By the time we ordered lunch (3.45pm) there was no beef or chicken left and just one portion of lamb so ended up having the lamb which was very fatty and tough served with vegetables and over baked potatoes which I ordered to be replaced and this was duly done. This was the second time we have had Sunday lunch at this restaurant and I can assure you it will be our last as standards are not great. I could hear from various tables around us that they were experiencing problems with the food orders as well! Our waiter’s name was Bailey and he did a great job holding it all together and was very professional, friendly, polite and a good listener to all the problems!

This place had hardly any staff, it was chaos. Having said that I'd like to give a shout out to Tracey our waitress for Monday morning breakfast. She was pretty much on her own, with over 150 guests.

this is disgusting the chicken was cold for the ultimate Sunday roast they didn't even have mince sauce or mash i swear if your gonna open a restaurant at least top up on your supplies this is disgusting i do not recommend this place

We stayed at the Premier Inn as a large group of 11 for a family event and due to travelling long distances it made sense to use this Beefeater Evening meal Was great service a bit slow as it was a very busy evening but lovely staff and food unfortunately the whole experience was ruined by the breakfast staff and service I think the ladies name was Vilma she was rude curt unwelcoming and sarcastic although we were earlier than some guests and restaurant was virtually empty her and her colleague were more interested in chatting than taking orders no explanation of where the drinks machine was or the continental etc , they were too busy gossiping , no good morning or a smile or anything curt and unpleasant and dis interested whilst taking our hot food orders (as she was to another table of Dutch guests who didn’t know how the breakfast service worked) food arrived tepid and tasteless couldn’t wait to leave had to wait 10 minutes to pay the bill As both in the kitchen gossiping they have completely let down this establishment who’s dinner service and food was a 9/10 I suggest they are both given customer service and waitress training and are taught how to smile and taught basic manners so rude

This Is a great spot if you like steaks barbecue chicken and wholesome fair. Excellent Wireless and great ambience. My waiter was Swati who was attentive to detail, caring and friendly. We appreciated the entire atmosphere and the mail which was excellently well prepared and very tasty. My particular favorite was the steak, and the onion rings. We look forward to coming back again.

Had the recently added £20 for 2 course menu with a drink on Saturday. Steak was top notch - melted like butter in the mouth. Fab service from Bailey, who had great patter for such a young man. Great experience!

I was in the liberty bell last night have a quiet drink with my friend and was served at the bar by a member of staff by the name of Peiyce. For someone of her age and experience she was very polite and professional a credit to the establishment. As a person I have managed a pub before and she has great potential and hopefully a great career in front of her.

Booking a reservation through the website is a clear and simple process. Upon arrival, we were met with a warm greeting, and our server was attentive, professional, and courteous. We frequent Liberty Bell for both breakfast and lunch. Their breakfast is fantastic value for money, including a 'full English' option as well as continental, with hot drinks and a selection of juices included. On this occasion, the one major disappointment was the temperature of the hot foot. I understand it's batch cooked and then left in warming containers in the kitchen, but there comes a time where the temperature is no longer sufficient and the food should be replaced with freshly cooked food. Taking nothing away from how tasty the food was, if it was of an acceptable temperature, it would have made it a much more enjoyable experience. Complaining about the food at the time wouldn't have made much difference as food from the same warming containers would have been served as a replacement.

I didn't book I just arrived and was seated in about 1 minute Anna took care of us all night and was very welcoming, kind and was working very hard to look after us! The starter,main and desert came out super quick and was perfect

We came to the restaurant for dinner and we was immediately greeted by the manger who sat us down at a window seat as requested, we were served by a lovely lady Chantelle and she recommended us these excellent cocktails that were divine. We had dinner which was salmon with prawns and it was exceptional and then she recommended the biscoff sundae and I’m glad she did because it was amazing. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and we will be back!!!

Me and my Sister went to Beefeater for dinner, we were greeted at the door and instantly felt welcomed. We both ordered the chicken burger and chips and it was delicious our server was sheetal and she was delightful! Will be back soon and hopefully have sheetal again!!!

Her cheerful attitude and attentive service make every morning a pleasure and truly set the tone for the day. Elyes, Taylor, and Sheetal also make dining at Beefeater a fantastic experience. Elyes’s friendly and meticulous approach ensures everything is just right, while Taylor’s exceptional service and willingness to go above and beyond never fail to impress me. Sheetal brings such enthusiasm and care to her role, making each visit feel special. And Hasna at the Premier Inn reception always greets me with a warm smile, making sure my stay is comfortable and enjoyable. This wonderful team consistently makes me feel welcome and valued, turning every meal into a delightful part of my stay. It’s their exceptional service that makes Beefeater one of my favorite places to dine.

Typical restaurant chain fare. Staff were friendly, but lunch service was slow. Three had fish & chips which they said was tasty and I had a beef burger which was a bit bland. Very handily attached to the Premier Inn.
