I visited recently, the food and beverages were OK. The service wasn't good at all. The staff didn't seem happy and their general service seemed to be muddled and done begrudgingly.

Fantastic tea room, I always go in for a sausage sandwich when I am visiting the crematorium. The gentleman that runs the tea room is so obliging and also makes a wicked bread pudding. I travel all the way from East Ayrshire in Scotland to visit and am never disappointed.

Always come here for a coffee or little lunch when visiting relatives in the cemetery. Food is always good and reasonably priced. Quiet background music which is great to just sit and reflect.

When The Optimist Tavern let us down big time, the lovely people at the crematorium tea room provided a wonderful afternoon tea for 20 people at an hour's notice. The food and beverages were tasty and plentiful, especially the home made scones! You don't need a funeral for an excuse to visit this place, go and enjoy it anytime.

After the sad occasion of my mother's funeral, we needed somewhere to go after the service at the crematorium. Booking the Tea Room was incredibly easy, and not that expensive compared to alternatives. It was only a minute or two away from the chapel, and is very bright and airy and well maintained. The staff were attentive, the pre-made food was very nice and they went the extra mile to lay out some mementoes of my Mum's life. They were very reasonable with the costs too. I expect you could just drop in for a snack from the menu if you were in the area, 7 days a week up to 3.30pm. They might be booked out, though.

Attended a funeral and was told about this place. And how grateful I was. It was nice to be able to arrive early for the service and know you won't be delayed due to traffic etc. I got there just as it was opening last Monday and the fella welcomed me and invited me in even though he wasn't fully open yet, but waited outside for some friends to join us. What a really nice bloke - he deserves to do well. Two of us each had a full English Breakfast with drinks and the others had a snack and a drink each. I have to say it was all magnificent! Lovely breakfast with gorgeous thick toast. Beautifuuly cooked and presented. The prices were thoroughly reasonable too great value. If we lived nearby we would come here often. However we don't but was grateful to have had this cracking little spot to ease the day's proceedings. Highly recommended.

We had my father's funeral tea here last week & I can't speak highly enough of Chris, and the young ladies who work with him, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was amazing. The quality & quantity was incredible, especially for the price paid. Everybody commented on both the food & kindness shown to us by the staff. They say that they cater for up to 30 for an event like ours, but don't let that stop you from enquiring if you need more. They will do their very best to accommodate you. The tea room itself is light, airy & tastefully decorated. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a venue for gathering friends & family after the loss of a loved one. Even if you are just visiting the crematorium grounds to view the plaques or the Book of Remembrance, why not call in to The Tea Room for anything from a cup of tea & a slice of cake to a jacket potato.

Whilst arranging my wife's funeral I learnt that the Tea Room could be hired out for the after service refreshments. I visited and spoke with the owners Alison and Chris; what immediately struck me was their kindness, empathy and their wish to deliver a first class service - I booked it. Pre event the arrangements were made very easy for me and I could have whatever buffet I wanted; also music, access to arrange the room (pictures etc); alcohol was not available, but that was fine by me. After the service the closeness of the Tea Room to the chapel meant that every person who attended join the family for refreshments. The buffet was excellent and plentiful. The service was again first class. The cost extremely reasonable, in fact I was encouraging them to charge me more. The feedback from everyone who attended was 5 Star. In summary - 1. Great location, 2. Excellent buffet, 3. Service second to none, 4. Cost extremely reasonable, 5. Easy to arrange. I cannot speak highly enough about The Tea Room.

We arrived early for Mum's Funeral Service to ensure we were there to great anyone coming who hadn't been there before. We had time to sit and have a light lunch and drinks. As family and friends arrived there was time to get them drinks. If we had been having only 12 or so people attending we would have asked the Tea Room Staff (in advance) to arrange for us to have the Farewell food and drinks there. The 2 young gentlemen serving and cooking were pleasant and efficient.
