Coffee Bloom cafe in Havering

This is a café we always choose when we shop in Upminster wether for breakfast , coffee or lunch the food and service is 1st class. We would recommend this café to anyone seeking refreshments in Upminster

The cafe was very clean and the service was quick

Upon entry I was greeted with a smile the ambiance was very welcoming. The staff were friendly and happy to help and knew their stuff when it comes to coffee. Definitely somewhere to visit when In the area coffee was exceptional and the food was too good, best in the area

Was having tow bar fitted and popped in this cafe food is excellent lovely and fresh would highly recommend

We regularly meet up at Coffee Bloom but never again. Ordered breakfast and a friendly waitress brought mine up. Another waitress brought my friends, leant right across the table, dipping her bracelet in my food, to put it down on the far side of the table. I left the bit her bracelet had gone in. When she came up to take the plates and leaned over the table again I said to be careful as her bracelet had gone in my food. She then started to blame me for not moving as she was struggling with all the plates - one plate!!! All she had to do was be careful, even a sorry would have been good. Instead of accepting what she had done wrong the stroppy little girl argued and became more unpleasant. She said, "What do you want me to do with my bracelet?" I said, "Don't dip it in people's food!" If this is the standard of staff I hate to think what happens with the food round the back. When we paid I told the friendly waitress we wouldn't be back because of this attitude and service. I was amazed that anyone could act that way. Always the one's in the wrong who get defensive. It's a shame as we'd had nice experiences there in the past but definitely won't go back and will be telling all our friends.

Whenever I'm visiting Upminster I will always pop in for breakfast, lunch or a cake . Good food, very reasonably priced and friendly staff . Always worth a visit.

Had a great full English here, although the tomatoes were a little cold when it arrived. Smoothies were delicious. Staff seemed a little inexperienced or maybe just overwhelmed, but were still helpful and polite and very kindly tried to free up a table for us as quickly as they could considering that we turned up at a busy time on a Sunday lunchtime without a reservation.

Went out their way to check the eggs for me (cos im abit fussy) the staff were patient and didnt make me feel awkward, the capocino witb oat milk had loads of foam as it should, absolutely delicious will visit again

I love this place. The service is excellent, the coffee is rich and smooth and the chocolate chip cookies are to die for!

The staff here are really friendly however we won’t be going here again. Unfortunately our favourite cafe in Upminster “The Tea Cosy” has closed down so we tried this one. We went in around 2pm and asked for a full English. I was surprised when the order came out within 3 mins, until I realised it turns out what we got was clearly someones leftovers probably from the morning. The bacon was as hard as rubber and vile, along with the soggy bread and tomato that was clearly someone else’s left overs because it was smothered in pepper. My partner never criticises anything however even he was surprised that it had been served. I’m sure it’s a one off and probably a lesson learned not to order a full English breakfast at 2pm in the afternoon. We won’t be returning here to say they least, shame on your standards.

Since moving to Havering, this place has become a regular of ours. It’s a very pleasant, clean, does-what-it-says-on-the-tin cafe in the heart of Upminster. The food is tasty and the staff, who work so hard, are extremely attentive and friendly.

This is my favorite cafe in Upminster. The food is always fresh and delicious. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. It gets pretty busy so we always book a table.

I had a terrible experience here. The omelette I ordered was made with watered down eggs and a filling of cheese, mushroom and onions which was literally swimming in oil. When I politely told the manager he was very rude and aggressive. I left shaken and upset. I would never go again and I would especially warn other women not to go as well

Absolutely fantastic! Service is warm and very attentive and professional. Delicious gingerbread latte and blueberry and lemon sponge. First time here and will definitely return and recommend. Thank you

**Update Dec 2021, after coming here for a few years and having had coffee from all the places in Upminster and Cranham, I can comfortably say without a shadow of doubt that they make THE best coffee in the area by a long way. I don't even bother with Costa anymore it doesn't come close to this place.** The food a coffee here is very good and a high standard. The staff are very polite and friendly and the environment and atmosphere are very comfortable and relaxing. This is my new go to coffee place in Upminster.

Lunch was delicious. Grilled halloumi, red pepper and black olive salad. Yummy .

What a lovely little cafe! So cozy and felt incredibly delightful to hear familiar conversations with the owner and what I can only assume to be regulars! Nice to have that personal touch in a local establishment accompanying a lovely tasting latte!

A beautiful, sparkling cafe with a wonderful selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches. A huge cut above the usual chains and an excellent place for breakfast or lunch.

We have had a lovely lunch at Coffee Bloom before the next government imposed lockdown. We look forward to breakfast or lunch when they are allowed to open again. Always friendly and cheerful service wether for breakfast or lunch. I recommend pancakes for breakfast and lasagne for lunch.

From the moment you walk in, your greeted with smiles. Looking around the cleanliness is impeccable. Scents from the freshly ground coffee make your nose flare & the kitchen looks busy. That’s the First, Second Third tick box marked. You know this is going to be a good cafe.You can seat yourself and service comes over within seconds. Highly recommend this coffee shop

Come in every other week with my Nan. We both look forward to her brunch. The staff are all very kind and helpful. The manager and his wife are very sweet and kind too. Happy the change your order If you don’t like part of the set breakfast. I swap my mushroom and egg out for bacon and a hash brown and not a single issue. Brilliant for My Nan who doesn’t eat much as she just asks for some egg and bacon. Food is always top class. I’m very fussy with bacon and won’t eat it if it’s hard and fatty. Never had an issue here the food is definitely sourced from quality suppliers. Highly recommend if you fancy a cooked breakfast you wont find better in Upminster.

I visited on a Saturday morning for brunch with friends, it was very busy and we hadn't booked but the manager was very friendly and accommodating. Lovely food, friendly service, reasonably priced would definitely recommend

Lovely staff, great coffee, delicious breakfast.

The coffee here is outstanding and the staff are lovely and welcoming. My dad practically lives here, and we usually visit once a fortnight for brunch. The food is always fresh with good quality ingredients (great sausages and amazing home cooked chips in particular). The only slight criticism is that they should provide butter pats with the lovely fresh toast - margarine is no-ones friend. Really nice homely place - hope they stay a fixture in Upminster for a long time.

Great food service highly recommended

Been here several times before. But went for brunch today with my mum (who was in a wheelchair) a member of staff found us a table and the owner (?) us helped too. Ordered a breakfast despite it being 1ish along with a sandwich. Food was great and so was the flat white. Thanks

I first visited bloom on a Sunday morning after a night out and found it to be great hangover cure !!! The food is excellent and the service friendly and efficient , and there is plenty of choice on the menu . I now regularly go here , tho not always with a hangover .

Visited here few times, super independent coffee bar/cafe. Staff are lovely and you are made to feel very welcome. Very clean airy premises. The food is 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 cooked lovely and presented good too. Lovely coffee, lovely food do not go to Upminster and miss this little GEM 🤗

I visit this cafe on a regular basis either with family or friends. Each time I visit Nick and his team are always welcoming. The food is delicious and always hot. Would certainly keep coming back for more. Keep up the good work!

Delicious breakfast here this morning with a friend.Perfect poached eggs on choice of toast and option of Vegetarian or Cumberland sausage.Piping hot drinks, excellent flat white and mint tea.Subtle background music adds to the ambience and cafe was spotlessly clean.Very friendly staff and owner, a perfect venue for meeting with friends in comfortable seating.

Excellent lunch here in Upminster Town Centre. We thoroughly enjoyed both our fish finger sandwich and poached eggs on granary toast. Two excellent coffees as well. Good service and nice surroundings added to a very good choice for lunch.

My Niece aged 13 took me straight to Coffee Bloom when we decided we would have brunch. Easy to see why. Friendly, clean, delicious food and affordable too. Will definitely go back.

Delicious! Came for lunch with my girls, they had bacon sandwiches and I had French Toast... this was the best French toast I’ve had! Quick friendly service, tasty food and well priced.

I really like this place. The owner makes a really good flat white and the food is always a good standard. The back of the store isn't as inviting as the front section, but it's still a good spot for breakfast.

My first time in Upminster for a while and I think this place may have changed hands and/or name in the interim. I enjoyed a very nice latte served by the efficient staff. I'll have to come back and try the food.

I often drop in to the café for coffee but today I had breakfast- cup of coffee and a full English for 7.75 . It was freshly cooked and hot , two slices of toast, egg, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, bacon and baked beans - delicious.

Nice coffee and equally nice cake to go with it.

Had coffee and lunch , good food and friendly staff . Place was busy but still staff were attentive. Usual fare for a coffee shop. A bit disappointing that you had to pay for a salad garnish where others include it on the plate .

Working at the school opposite, so popped over for lunch - what a gem, friendly, relaxing, excellent coffee and the best lasagna I've had in ages, light beautifully cooked omelette - if working nearby again, will head straight here.

I often visit on my own before doing the weekly shop and am always made to feel welcome. Veggie breakfast is delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. Have always found the staff to be very polite and helpful too. Would recommend!

Ideal for a lunch or coffee, it gets busy on a Saturday and sometimes you wait a while then for food. But coffee and milkshakes are good and come straight from the open counter. So good to come for a relaxed chat, the sandwiches and meals are generously portioned and tasty.

I go here regularly to meet friends for brunch or sometimes alone when I need to get some work done in peace, the staff are always welcoming and the menu is spot on, something for everyone. The omelette is usually my first choice which are yummy and the poached eggs are always perfect on a benedict. The milkshakes need more ice cream so I always ask for an extra scoop but on the whole this small independent cafe is a lovely place.

We waited for over 40 minutes. When our food arrived all three sets of eggs were very undercooked with parts of the egg white clear. We returned all the food and offered to pay for the drinks but the manager was angry, rude and threw us out; telling us there was nothing wrong with the eggs. What a disappointing start to Mother's Day. Waste of time and badly handled.

Go here quite frequently with family as well as alone. Friendly service, can be rather busy at times. Good selection of informal brunch type food.

This is a good value cafe with a variety of hot food and the service is excellent. The omelettes are particularly good and jacket potatoes enormous !

Went in after reading reviews. The welcome and coffee were very good. I ordered eggs benedict, that's where the magic stopped. The hollandase sauce tasted strongly of salad cream, the eggs over cooked and the bacon fatty. Sad, should have been good

This café is a gem of a place and a real find! Family run, delicious top quality coffee and food, and such lovely, friendly service. The atmosphere is really warm, friendly and welcoming. They do delicious milkshakes and smoothies too. I'll definitely come again.

A lovely cafe to relax in Upminster. Their coffee is really good, and ambiance is quite friendly. I would there instead of the chains without any hesitation.

Over the past 3 months I have slipped in for a coffee/tea and snack every week or so. Cafe Bloom is a delightful cafe - nice food - pleasantly served - comfortable surroundings - all at a reasonable cost. It knocks spots of the usual chain cafes - the owners deserves a real success with this cafe.

I was visiting Waitrose and saw this lovely little coffee shop. Popped in for an americano and one their lovely scones. The staff were very friendly and the coffee was very good. Service and Scone were excellent. I can see I will be popping in for elevenses or lunch when I am next in Upminster Shopping. Price range was good and the breakfast menu looked particularly good value. I enjoyed my coffee in a comfortable chair and watched the world go by whilst reading the paper. Great choice of music too- not too loud but pleasant background music. A little gem of a place!
