LEFKE Restaurant & Bar in Havering

I’ve been having Lefke takeaway for years and it has always been fantastic food so today I decided to eat in the restaurant. The restaurant is lovely inside, the food was faultless in every way. I had the mixed sheesh and it was lovely. Our host Christian was simply great, makes you feel very welcomed and at ease. The food is great but the atmosphere and staff is the cherry on the cake! Would recommend to everyone!

Came to the restaurant with a friend as recommended, ordered the mixed Shish chicken and lamb was bang on reasonable and competitive price and more than enough food! Our host Christian was more than fantastic, entered the restaurant close to closing time but did not feel rushed and was treated like I was there in the middle of closing time.Highly recommend and will be returning!

Lamb was unbelievable, vibes were friendly and fun. Entertainment was enjoyable, great night cheers guys

By far the best Turkish food in the area (absolutely in love with their seabass! Sooo tasty!) great food… they always go above and beyond. Great location, excellent settings and service and their takeaway is just as good too! 👍

Terrible. Food was cold. I ordered a donner with pitta and salad and they gave me a donner in a wrap completely plain without sauce or salad and charge £15 for it. Awful! Never again. Don't go there

Me and my partner had an amazing time at Lefke last Saturday. What a great night, the belly dancer put on a great show and had everyone up and dancing with her. The food was superb I’d highly recommend a lamb shish ! Cocktails were Devine and the staff couldn’t do more for you! Everyone finished their food before the lights went down and the DJ played and I’ve got to say the music was brilliant a bit of everything for everyone. We will be back very soon guys thank you for a wicked night x

I came for a hen party of 9 a few days ago and we had a great time! Really good evening. Good food. Good service and music. A fab evening out! I am coeliac so needed gluten free- I rang up and spoke to Luke and he was really helpful! Will return!

Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend and couldn’t have been happier! Our Cerberus Christian (the other american!), Barman Luke and the chef were absolutely amazing. So friendly in the intimate setting got to chat with everyone. Informative with any questions and have great suggestions also made my step son feel like part of the restaurant family. If you didn’t stop in while in Upminster you’d be missing out!

Food was absolutely superb as always, great service by Christian and Luke, will be back for the weekly feast next week. Had the sharing meat platter, each bit of meat was perfectly cooked & seasoned, three men with very large appetites leaving stuffed

Went to this restaurant on the 22nd May to celebrate my birthday. Food was lovely and couldn’t fault the entire evening. All the staff were very friendly and the DJ playing good music all night just created a wonderful atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

Have been here too many times now to count - can’t fault it, service, food, decor, music, entertainment, all spot on, gets better each time we go. Would 110% recommend Lefke to anyone. Such a lovely atmosphere, all staff are friendly, caring and do everything to help. Already booked agin !!!

Tried Lefke for the first time last week and was very impressed. Quality and quantity of the food we ordered was absolutely first class. Looking forward to Lefke being able to accommodate diners post-lockdown and will certainly be booking a table. Meantime we will be returning for takeaway.

Whilst lockdown we have ordered multiple times from them. The food is always amazing. We have now tried around 10 different dishes and all are the best quality. Always fresh and always hi quality. Definitely the frist restaurant I will visit after the lockdown. Went there and the staff were very polite and professional; best kebab/grill in Upminster; possibly the best in the whole South East.

Amazing time at this restaurant, me and my friend did the bottomless Prosecco deal and it was incredible. We had such a laugh.. food was unreal, drinks were constantly flowing and portion size of the food was perfect.They even make you drinks of your choice not on the menu. Staff were lovely here, so accommodating!Definitely recommend and such good value for money. 10/10!

Absolutely amazing meal. So good being able to finally get out of the house as we are a group of close friends studying together! Food was so delicious, probably the best moussaka I’ve ever had. Whole team there are awesome and couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly, highly recommend!

Wow what a great meal. Ordered 2 large shish. 1 chicken and 1 Lamb. It came with flat bread, rice and salad and 2 dressing. It was amazing. We will be returning. Thank you Lefke, it was all great and thoroughly recommend

Been trying out similar restaurants around the area of late and found this one to be the least appealing. Staff were exceptional and restaurant was very clean however, no atmosphere and the food and drink is by far overpriced in comparison to the other restaurants we have tried.

Bottomless Thursdays deal - I was meant to visit this restaurant pre lockdown for a friends birthday, however as we had paid £10 deposit my friend booked Thursday bottomless Prosecco deal!! It was really worth it the money!!! There wasn’t many options to choose from food wise however the food was lovely fresh and waitress was always topping up the glasses!! Service was good. 2 course meal and bottomless Prosecco for 90 minutes £25 was worth it!!!

My ‘Big Turk’ cocktail was lovely! The food came in good time and tasted absolutely amazing! Everything came served with a smile and was a real nice place to spend the evening..... and they still offer the eat out to help out discount!

Had a fantastic late lunch at Lefke who are continuing the 50% off deal on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout September and October. Super friendly staff and top notch food. Will definitely be returning.

First night back here since lockdown and we really enjoyed ourselves!! The staff are really friendly and they really made an effort to make it lively and fun for everyone whilst respecting social distancing rules. Visited for the first time early this evening and was very impressed! Every Covid precaution taken we were asked to use sanitising gel on arrival and asked fill out a track & trace form. As for the food I can honestly say it was the best Souvlaki (Lamb Shish) I’ve had outside of Cyprus! Beautifully cooked, tender and tasty! Service was excellent too. We will definitely be back in the not too distant future. 5 ⭐️ from us!

Booked in this evening and it was very impressive. Covid precautions taken from the moment we walked through the door with sanitising gel & good table distancing. Loved it! We’ve heard some great reviews so as to ‘Eat out to help out’ seemed a perfect time to visit. We felt safe in the restaurant with the current Covid19 situation. We filled in a form and then we was given a disposable menu. Hubby had mixed grill, I had chicken shish. We was both really pleased with our choices. With the bread and dips we was thoroughly filled up. Wine was an ok price and was tasty. We would definitely visit again.

Food here was pretty good. However the premises is a bit noisy at weekends, with customers hanging around on the pavement outside. This is because the restaurant sometimes puts on entertainment and is more like a trendy bar at the weekends - together with the food.

Food was lovely!!! We booked last minute and thought we'd try somewhere new. It's definitely gonna be a new favourite. Can't wait to come again.

I came down to London from Liverpool to visit family and Christian made our visit a memorable one. We were celebrating my cousins engagement and he made sure to make it a special evening.From the moment we walked in we were greeted with amazing service and the staff are all so friendly.The food was so delicious and came so quickly. I would recommend this to anyone.Despite the current climate, we felt safe and well looked after at Lefke’s. Social distancing was adhered to, also. A great night... thank you so much Christian. I visited Lefke for the first time after hearing great reviews from family who live in the area and it certainly did not disappoint. Christian and his team are so welcoming and are doing an amazing job of delivering first class service and creating both a safe and enjoyable environment. The incredible food is just a bonus! Have been here twice since it reopened. Great food and staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful.We brought the in laws for their first meal out since February and they loved it. Restrictions in place but at no point did they feel over bearing and didn’t make you feel uncomfortable. Will definitely be back

Me and my partner visited last night and after seeing how highly rated they are and seeing as they have just been voted so highly, we were really looking forward to our meal.However, we were left extremely disappointed. Our table was booked at 8pm, and after an hour and a half and having to chase up, we finally received out olives and Haloumi after an hour and a half. We were then told at 9:45pm that our main meal was going to be put on now. At this point we decided to cut our losses and pay for what we had been given and leave. Conserving the restaurant closes at 11pm, you would think that they would aim to star cooking your meal before 9:45. I understand that restaurants are often busy and that can’t be helped, however on this occasion it wasn’t. Due to social distancing there was only 8 tables in the restaurant and there were around 8 staff members working, so I would have expected the food service to have been much quicker – and better! However I could not fault the waitresses, they were efficient and very apologetic.

I have been to Lefke many times and I can honestly say that the food and service are outstanding. The team literally can’t do enough for you and go above and beyond to make your meal/evening perfect! Would recommend 100%A friend and I popped in there for an impromptu late lunch today and even though we hadn’t booked it was no problem for them. I can’t wait until they are fully functional again with their DJ/party nights. It really is a one stop shop for a perfect night out. Love you TeamLefke xx

So it was my first night out in 4 months since beginning of lockdown (with suffering with a bit of anxiety )all the team at lefke made me feel so at ease &safe . &wasn't many people in so for me that made it even better. This is the second time we have ordered a takeaway... But not again!! All 3 chicken shish were as dry as anything... The turkish bread (advertised on Instagram..) is nothing like the large pitta with a slap of spice we received... Very Disappointing... Such a shame a local restaurant that lacks the lustre... If I could of taken it back for a refund I would have...

We’d like to say thank you to Christian and the team for looking after us so well on Tuesday night, which is the first time we’ve ventured out since the UK lockdown restrictions were lifted.The food and hospitality at LEFKE is unfailingly good, but the added reassurance that we felt at the venue: hand sanitiser at the door, appropriate social distancing, disposable menus and high levels of cleanliness - really did help to remove any concerns we may have had about returning.We may find ourselves in a very different world to the one we left behind back in March - but positive experiences such as this take us a step closer to enjoying the simple pleasures - such as dining out - that we all so love. (And after fifteen weeks at home with my two kids, having someone bring me drinks and cook my meal for me was beyond wonderful..!)Please don’t hesitate to book a table here - if you have any doubts about returning to local bars and restaurants, you will be made to feel safe and secure at LEFKE - while still enjoying the team’s renowned warmth and hospitality (oh, and cocktails - of which I once again had too many...!). Thanks again. It’s great to be back. ☺️

Looked this place up randomly as we fancied Turkish food and it did not disappoint. Delicious flavours, good potion sizes, good prices, we will definitely be coming back :) I’m a real foodie and have eaten in lots of restaurants all over the world including Turkey so I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you eat here.

Brilliant, just brilliant, all of the staff were so friendly and helpful, whilst being very observant of the safety measures in place right now. The takeaway service has not affected the quality or presentation of the food at all! It was fantastic. Excellent food, great customer service, will be using again, often.

Thanks to Christian and co workers, had a fantastic time last night for my sisters Hen do. Really went the extra mile to make her night great, lovely food, fantastic music and Dj Even booked us a butler in the buff!!!! 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to anyone and definitely be going back!

So this doesn’t need to be a long review because all I can say is how amazing the place is. Went there for a birthday meal and party with people from all ages and everyone come away saying how unreal the night was. It’s up there with one of the best nights out, ever!!If you haven’t gone, go. You won’t be disappointed!

Went here for NYE 2019, was charged £60 per person for unlimited starters and a main meal, They said that we we get unlimited starters and when we asked for more it was difficult to even get a member of staffs attention to get more and when you did ask they umm and ahhed whether there was more, we didn’t end up receiving anymore. Also with the deal they had also said a tray of shots for the table, they brought out one shot each of WKD and that was one each. They also said there would be a belly dancer which there was but only half an hour and she only danced once and left. The main course had a very basic side salad and the rice was small and didn’t taste that great, they chicken was dry and the lamb was chewy. Most of our table left a large amount of food due to it not tasting nice.The staff were rude when we started to pay the bill saying we hadn’t paid it all when we had. The experience at this restaurant was not what I expected as I had heard really good things but unfortunately we didn’t get that same experience as others.Will not be returning here again.

The deal was supposed to have shots included.. when they brought out the shots it was a shot glass of WKD.The main course I had was chicken shish.. the most dry chicken with no flavour. I asked to speak to a manager and told him I was not happy paying £60 for the meal I had as I didn't think it was worth it and his response was that it was new years eve what do you expect. He had a bad attitude,Will never go here again.. its the worst turkish in the area if you have any taste buds then his is a no go.

30 of us came here in December for our Works Christmas night out and had a fabulous evening. We all really enjoyed the food which was served quickly and hot. The garlic mushrooms and chicken shish were the best I’d ever tasted. Plenty of attentive staff on hand with Christian being a super host and a great evening of entertainment, we came away with so many memories, thank you!

We went there for our work xmas party on Thursday .what a great night . The food was all tasty. The only negative was when we was on the dance the floor the staff were up and down that was annoying. They should wait until people are gone then do what they need to. One off the staff member Naureen she made sure we was looked after attended to everyone's request. Overall it was a night to remember.

What a great restaurant, amazing food and great service. Went with my partner to celebrate is birthday we had the garlic mushrooms as a starter, very tasty, for our main I had the moussaka and my partner the Lamb Shish, both very well cooked, tasty, absolutely amazing. The whole evening was amazing. The waiters were always on hand and really helpful and up for a laugh. The food was amazing and the portions were just a good size. The entertainment was brilliant and the after party was a lot of fun.

Our group of twenty dined at LEFKE last night and took advantage of the £25pp for 2 courses & bottomless Prosecco offer. It was an amazing night - the staff were attentive (particular thanks to Christian for being the perfect host, and to Loreen, who ensured that our glasses were never empty!). Superb food, wonderful atmosphere and great music. Every single one of our group said how great their night had been - it's definitely as much fun as you can have on a Thursday night locally. (Now I understand why the place gets booked up so far in advance...) We are all looking forward to coming back in the future. THANK YOU!

Visited here for our friends birthday, there was quite a few of us. The venue itself is small but accommodated us, service was 100% food was 100%. After starters the belly dancer came then our mains were served all round MUST VISIT!

A surprise birthday party for our son organised by Amy, 23 of us turned up and had a great time.The whole evening went like clockwork thanks to Christian and his wonderful staff, they couldn't do enough to help.As I understand it Friday and Saturday evenings are special party nights, if you are going, be prepared for a wild evening as the emphasis is on "party" not the place to go for a quiet chat but the rest of the week it reverts back to a more tranquil place to enjoy great tasty food.Party nights consist of what appeared to be unlimited starters which just kept coming for over an hour or so, tasty breads and dips, olives, hot garlic mushrooms, Halloumi cheese topped off with battered calamari a mouthwatering starter to say the least.Mains were the normal Turkish mixture of grilled meats as well as sea bass.Midway through the evening the beautiful belly dancer entertained us.A while after we had finished eating Christian and the crew had us all off our chairs while the tables were pushed to the side and a very lively disco took over.We paid £35.00 per head for the party package which was terrific value, and drinks were more than reasonable.They allow you to split into small groups to order drinks with a password for your protection.Well done Lefke we will definitely return.

I booked LEFKE as a surprise for my partner's 30th. There were 23 of us in total and everyone had an absolute blast! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were very attentive, the belly dancer was amazing, and the DJ was fab. The manager, Christian, was great in the lead up to the night and was always on hand to answer any questions I had. I would definitely recommend LEFKE and look forward to visiting again.

Great food tasted lovely, I came to pick the food up myself. I was craving Turkish food due to being 8 months pregnant. The guy was lovely and had patience while I was questioning him about the food. Great portion size too I ordered over the phone and all my questions was answered. I would go back with my friends and family. My 1st time ordering and eating food from the restaurant. I was even given extra due to asking for more rice when I told him I was pregnant and how my cravings are running my life. Lovely and kind hearted gesture.

We all opted for chicken shish which I have to say was so fresh and piping hot, flavours were unreal.We had an amazing night of food and entertainment. Had the best night in lefke i hired the whole restaurant for my 30th birthday party Christian was brilliant helping me organise everything how I wanted it and making sure everything was run smoothly on the night so I didn’t have to stress about anything all 60 of my guests said how lovely the food was and how lovely all the staff were. The belly dancer was amazing my little boy is a little bit in love with her she is stunning. Then the dj played the best mixture of tunes he had the whole party up dancing all night can’t wait to come back again. I will definitely hire it out again Aswell. Amazing restaurant

Booked Lefke for my sister-in-law to be’s hen night. Everyone had such a brilliant night from start to finish. Communication from the time of booking up to the night itself was fab. Christian and the team could not do enough for us. The staff are brilliant and the service is great. Food was delicious and the music was spot on! Everyone danced all night. Will definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem.... how have I not been here before? Food is delicious and portions are generous. The atmosphere is buzzing and the staff really look after you. I went here with a party of 12 for my husbands 40th birthday and we all had an amazing time. DJ and dancing till 1......... just topped off a really special night. Knew this restaurant would be lively but did not expect to have to point to my choice of manual or lip read all night to communicate. Would have been nice to have a conversation whilst eating then have a dance after eating. Don't go here if you want to catch up with friends or talk to one another over dinner!Left after two courses on a set menu evening, tables pushed back for dancing before any sign of dessert. Check your Bill before settling up too.

After spending Mother's Day here with my family, I wasn’t booking anywhere else for Father’s Day! Once again, absolutely delicious food, great service & felt very looked after. The best Turkish food around! I cannot fault this restaurant! The children in the restaurant were given special attention, colouring pads and crayons. Kept my 2 boys very happy! Well what Can I say about LEFKE There were 22 of us family and a couple of our friends for our daughters 21st birthday. on Saturday night 15th June......... what an absolute belter of a night we all had.... the staff are so so lovely and friendly and work so hard to make sure everyone is happy. The food is amazing tastes no different to what you get at Sheesh but at a fraction of the price and that’s with belly dancers (stunningly beautiful I might add) and a DJ who drops the best tunes and keeps the party going till 1am....... if your thinking about celebrating a birthday anniversary or even if a group of friends want a great night out, this is the place to go...... I can’t stress enough what a wicked time you will have, every single person in our party had the best time and they ranged from 19 years old to 65 years old.......... just make sure you book up In advance as this place is always busy...... cannot wait to come back again for my daughter-in-laws 30th in August...... Want to say what a brilliant night we had for my sisters 21st birthday, the staff are all amazing, the food is great and the dj plays all the best music. Our group ranged from 20 years old too late 60’s and everyone had a fab time. Would definitely recommend.
