Caffe Nero in Havering

Went to cafe Nero on Saturday, staff are excellent, efficient and very pleasant, however it is getting like a kennel club. The amount of dogs in the place turned me off, not only is this unhygienic, even though food is covered at the counter, you still eat it at a table where dogs are shaking their hair all over the place, which is unhygienic, I spend a lot on coffee, but will now frequent Costa, no dogs barking, pleasant surroundings, no hygiene issues.

Staff a bit miserable and very slow. They have their favourite customers that they chat to, but if they don’t know you, they make no effort whatsoever. We sat there for a while having lunch, and even though it had emptied out there tables full of dirty crockery. The place needs a good clean, especially outside. It looks as though they never clean outside where the outside tables are. Floor full of grime and cigarette ends, needs a good scrub with soapy hot water and a hard broom. It looks very shabby.

Went here for a light lunch with a friend - some comfortable armchairs as well at ordinary tables and chairs. The staff are pleasant and the service efficient. Good range of cakes and sandwiches and good coffee!

It was my first visit to this establishment and I must say I was so disappointed with the place, the seating needs replacing urgently, it did not feel clean in there at, it had a doggy smell in the place, I would not visit this place again and I would not recommend people to visit, I was pleased to leave the place.

Went to cafe Nero because was the only place that didn’t have a long line. I ordered a sausage, bacon and egg roll which was delicious and I got the gingerbread got chocolate which was also delightful. The service was great and very speedy. Will defiantly be coming again.

Friendly staff in this established coffee shop in Upminster. Good sized outlet. The seating is a bit cramped (in places) and tatty ( ripped seat covers) and could do with some tender living care. Usual range of Cafe Nero drinks and cakes / snacks.

There are hundreds of responsible dog owners with well behaved dogs who love to meet a friend in the winter, and have a coffee in a nice environment NOT outside with the smokers. Thankfully Neros has realised this we will always head there for our coffee when in the area. It's also nice to chat to other dog owners sharing ideas where you can take your dog. I think neros is a lovely clean cafe, and IF true that dogs wee there then the owners should clean it up. What about a loyalty card for good dogs Neros like the one for the customers?? My friend and I have had lunch there and been welcomed for nearly 3 hours on occasions.

I just had a large white filter coffee here, but I was impressed by the friendliness of the young lady on duty and with the coffee which was very good. Nero's is a consistently v. good coffee chain unlike most of the others which are all too often dire. Recommended.

We came in here for a spot of lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the tasty soups on offer - so not just good coffee! There were not many spaces so we had to wait for a couple of seats to become free so you might want to choose carefully what time you visit. Having said that it's a nice alternative to Costa.

Bored looking staff no smiles Coffee good but lots of dogs with their owners?! Are they allowed to have dogs there? I thought only guide dogs were permitted. Nevertheless will not return

I love the Upminster Caffe Uno. Staff are friendly, atmosphere is good and coffee made just right. Their Almond Croissants are superb and very well behaved dogs are welcomed. I often feel like I am abroad when the sun is shining and the doors are open and people are sat outside.

Stayed for a bit of work. Had s drink.... was the same as it always is. Limited plug supply though so make sure your charged up. Not sure if they let you use their power supply though. If not there is a pub at the top of the high street which will let you work with their power supply - just obviously have to be subtle and get a drink or bite to eat (basically be a customer)

Always clean and comfortable with good choice of coffees and snack items. Friendly and attentive staff.

Good quality coffee and usually quieter than Costa. Unfortunately the staff seem to be overworked at end of the day are busy bringing in chairs, brushing around your feet even when it is due to shut half an hour. Also shuts too early, Costa opposite is open another two hours so not a good quiet place at end of day unless you are taking coffee away.

Coffee great, staff friendly ( not pushy) sometimes they run low on food probably because this Upminster Café Nero is so popular.

Been here a few times but won't be returning. Coffee is often poorly made and overflowing, cakes taste stale and the cost for the overall experience in access. Staff are very nice though.

When you go in a cafe Nero or Costa they are all the same. The only difference is looking outside the window. It's clean tidy and staff are friendly. Snacks are pretty standard and coffee is good.

Nice clean coffee shop. Needed to kill some time in the town and the staff were friendly but no pressure to buy more or vacate my place. Better service than others close by.

Great Coffee! Great staff! Great Food! But when I went in the other day, there were 2 poodles perched on the SETTEE and 2 other dog owners had brought their dogs in as well, making 4 altogether! Why the manager or those higher up allow this, I do not know, but I am taking my business elsewhere now. I spoke to one of the staff, and he said that the dogs have been known to wee and have a dump in there as well! There is seating outside ( mostly for smokers), why can't dog owners use this as well?
