A huge thank you to Paris and Ben & team for our wonderful Christmas meal at the Royal Oak this evening. Superb food with a warm friendly atmosphere and lots of special xmas feeling. Highly recommended.

What a gem this place is, the food is great but even better (which is difficult) is the service! The two servers we have had, have been absolutely amazing.... so positive! They clearly have pride in their trade and the kitchen reflects that.

The lady could not get off the phone fast enough! "If you look on the menu online there are 2 menus lots of gluten free and vegan options ok ok bye bye bye". Of course I looked first before taking her prescious time ! Only the Xmas menu noted, could not see the other one ??? Can't comment on the food as we never made it due to not finding the Regular menu! So the party of 12 cannot book. Had an unexpected evening in the Kings Arms whilst visiting Bedford. Lovely friendly staff. They had a live band playing who were great. Lots of dancing. A great atmosphere.

I went to the fox today for drinks as I’m now a wheelchair user I was worried about going to pubs but the landlady was very helpful and reassuring the disabled toilets r clean and wheelchair accessible would highly recommend for a place to go with friends or family 💯

The hospitality was immaculate, free water, amazing bathrooms, very clean, The landlord was extremely inviting and friendly.

A lovely old-fashioned pub but well up to speed with coeliac needs. The Sunday lunch was delicious and I enjoyed gluten free Yorkshire Puds! What a treat! They even did separate gluten free gravy. Generous portions and good service. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back.

Visited this morning for breakfast while waiting for items in auction. Staff very friendly, helpful and ‘know their stuff’. My breakfast was cooked separately to avoid cross contamination and brought to my table in separate tray. Gluten free bread, dairy free spread.

Found this place while on a day out in Bedford. Extensive cafe menu sandwiches, panini, breakfasts and jacket potato’s plus a selection of cakes. 4 friendly staff happy to help us choose. Jacket potato heaped with cheese and beans with a salad for £5:95. Ham and cheese panini £4:50. Both hot and tasty. Delicious shared carrot cake and chocolate shortbread with tea and coffee to finish. Cost £18:95 - great value. What was good to see was someone popped in just to use the toilet and they said fine no problem. Well worth a visit if in Bedford
