The best restaurants in Bedford East of England

We have been coming to Coffee at Star for a good number of years, for as long as we’ve been parents of a Junior rower! Firstly, it’s an incredibly welcoming and inclusive place to come. You don’t have to be a member of either Star Club or Falcon. Dogs are welcome and it’s so nice to see so many there on a weekend especially. The service has always been exceptional, it’s run by Ann and her team. They offer the best hospitality, which we’re not always known for in the UK! The location is very special, with immediate views of the Great River Ouse from the balcony. There is also a modern, cosy space inside with sofas, tables, chairs with plenty of blankets and cushions to ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible. The selection of food never disappoints. I can vouch for all of it that I’ve tried (and I’ve had a lot!). I am a regular consumer of their waffles with yoghurt and fruit, I enjoy the granola bowl too. My kids enjoy the waffles with bacon, the halloumi breakfast bap is a family favourite and of course they sell essential bacon/egg baps as well as just toast! Breakfast, brunch isn’t where is stops. There is always cake available, meaning it becomes an ideal place to drop in, have a bite to eat and drink and enjoy the views! Have I mentioned that the coffee is AMAZING, they have a wide selection available and I can vouch for their delicious skinny flat white and chai latte. The smoothies are a hit with parents, the kids and everyone else it seems. A must for your trip to the Riverside in Bedford!

El mejor café de la ciudad, precios muy razonables, gran variedad de postres, sándwiches y otros artículos alimenticios, hermoso ambiente para individuos, familias y fiestas de cumpleaños, para ser honesto esta cafetería es una joya escondida, muy recomendable, vale la pena hacer una visita. Sigue así los chicos ✌️👏❤️

Best kept secret in Bedford, always freshly made and tasty. Well worth a visit during the day. I’ve been coming for 10 years and never let down.

Ate here last year with friends who are members One of the best value and tasty lunches I’ve had in a long time Excellent steak, veg, dessert, cheeses etc Proper old school Proper quality Too much beer, wine and port was consumed though!

¡Qué hallazgo! Llevando a mi madre al hospital ocular por la carretera y se topó con esta pequeña joya. Buen precio, buena comida y un servicio súper amable. Sin duda merece la pena una visita si en la zona. 2 horas de aparcamiento gratuito fuera también.

Fantástico centro de bicicletas, más que una tienda de bicicletas. Café, tienda, club, taller, centro social, etc. Me hizo volver a la carretera muy rápido. Gracias chicos, gran servicio!

I just happened to be walking passed this place I think the week it opened & being a lover of dessert & ice-cream I had to go in. It's cosy, clean and has a real relaxed vibe. The staff are all friendly, polite and helpful. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome & cater to gluten free & vegan needs. A big plus for me & my friends. I've been back a number of times by myself & with friends & will tell anyone who will listen to go & visit. The desserts and ice cream are delicious. Good size portions, good quality and are presented beautifully. Worth every penny!! Can't wait to go back again.

Great staff, great donuts, and vegan options! Would recommend the biscoff donut and cinnamon buns. Lots of love from Galway! :)

Visited this place with my friends on thursday was craving some desserts and i would definitely recomend you gont there to try yourself everything was nice and clean good customer service deserts were yummy

Tried This New Place, Authentic North Indian and Indo-Chinese Cuisine. Staff was polite on Reception, Food cooked in time. Must try Place, Try "Punjabi Dhaba Chicken" very nice and authentic.

Lovely fresh food. Perfect for a takeaway lunch - fresh baguettes, wraps, Indian samosas, croissants, pasties and a fab selection of cakes/tray bakes too! Hot and cold drinks. A good choice for vegetarians too. We found their lovely little shop by accident a while back now, and have been popping in regularly ever since. The owners are warm friendly people. Definitely worth a visit if you want a delicious tasty lunch.
