The best restaurants serving British food in Bedford East of England

We have lived in Arlesey for 27 years and the standard of food we have bought from this take away is consistently very good. The proprietors are always welcoming. We as a family rate them very highly.

I experienced some disapointing incidents here. Long wait times with no staff to be seen around the bar. I also found out that staff members are not given shifts as contracted, experience frequently poor communication and management are constantly sending staff home due to poor rota planning. I found out that a member of staff was leaving and there was no recognition, thanks or time given to successfully sign that member off, including a lack of P45. Overall, managment quality seems to be poor and I will not return now I am aware of how staff are treated.

Bottomless brunch was amazing. Jessica was an outstanding hostess!

Delicious fish n chips - I order the mini fish & chips every week for my family. Delicious crispy batter, not too greasy. Curry sauce isn’t like the thick one you normally get but so I just order it for hubby as it’s too runny for my liking. The chips are more like slices but still tasty and cooked through unlike some other places I’ve ordered from. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED- TRY THIS PLACE

I was utterly unimpressed so I emailed the head office. I also rang and left a voicemail as well as a follow up email. A month later still no reply, hence why I am posting. The food was not available as seen in other pictures on this site and the website. The waiter was unable to tell the difference between the different curry dishes we ordered! We were told that the batter was off and so 'fish and chips' was not available. As batter is really easy to make this suggests that the food is reheated rather than cooked at the pub. If I am wrong the chain has had time to inform me. We were offered chicken strips but were served a child's meal of nuggets.

Un café encantador, el personal es siempre acogedor y amable. El servicio es rápido y la comida es preciosa. Los huevos escalfados y el aguacate en las tostadas es particularmente encantador - con una salchicha añadida! Disfrutamos mucho de nuestras últimas dos visitas y volveremos!

Midden in het centrum, zeer vriendelijk personeel/eigenaar. Dé plek voor een echt Engels ontbijt! Ook takeaway. Niet duur.

Otra maravillosa visita a esta joyita escondida de una pastelería. El personal, es decir, Parv y Olivia son un activo absoluto con sus caras amables y un servicio educado y eficiente. Nada es demasiado problema para ninguno de los maravillosos equipos que trabajan aquí. Sus deliciosos pasteles, especialmente los donuts son uno de los favoritos de mi marido junto con el desayuno inglés completo. Tengo que decir que hacen una buena sopa casera que siempre es bienvenida en esta época del año. Ya salvando en nuestra próxima visita en las próximas semanas... hasta entonces, ¡ahórrate una rosquilla!

Hemos estado yendo aquí todos los jueves por la noche durante los últimos meses. El personal es muy amable. La chica que sirve en el bar es increíble. Recibimos un montón de bebidas y nunca tenemos tiempo para esperar al concurso del pub. Es un pub con un ambiente frío y siempre te sientes bienvenido.
