We decided to go for breakfast here as the reviews were so good! Sadly our experience didn’t match up to others. Our food only took a few minutes to be prepared and when it arrived the bacon had dried up around the edges where it must have been sat out, and the hashbrowns were cold in the middle. They also gave us the wrong tea but by this point we had been put off so left half our breakfast and the tea. Am giving two stars as the service was good and the staff were very friendly, just a shame about the food!

Fresh . Quick. Cosy . We arrived at 12ish and decided on full English for him and the veggie option for me. There was plenty of beautiful fresh hot food on both of our plates. Mine was baked beans in a pot. 2 huge hash browns a tomato 2 fried eggs runny yolk perfect and the best mushrooms I've ever had on a breakfast served with fresh brown toast. His also beautiful with sausages and bacon. Tea and coffee were also fresh and hot with fresh milk in a jug. Staff friendly and we didn't have to wait long. Worth a visit definitely we are going back.

Due to the gorgeous weather, this little gem was busy both inside and out. Good selection of cakes and tray bakes. Food and drinks served on china with proper cutlery.... a rare experience these days. Pleasant staff and a nice sit down with the family. You only have to look on tripadvisor and the poor reviews for other local eateries to decide to come here and try it for yourself.

So disappointed. Went two weeks ago at the beginning of a week and the breakfast was incredible. Went today and oh dear what a difference two weeks make. This time the breakfast was inedible. Left almost every item. My sisters baked beans were stone cold might have been in the microwave but wasn’t turned on. Bacon I was hitting on the side of our plates so overcooked it wasn’t crispy it was cremated. Eggs so snotty and undercooked made you feel very sick looking at them. Never had raw mushrooms before not planning on having them again . Luke warm hash brown. Sausages though cooked and very nice. The parts of the toast which were toasted ok but the other parts not toasted. Coffee latte excellent. Thought we had found a regular place to have breakfast after todays effort No. Did ask the young lad had they changed the cook he said that had 2 cooks which do different shifts. Unfortunately the cook we had was not the one we had two weeks ago. When we complained having returned two plates full of food we were offered another breakfast each but declined as the first offerings were so bad . Never given the choice of a refund. Such a shame.

My husband and I visit the Blossom cafe at least once a week for lunch, coffee and cake. Before lockdown their full menu was amazing, however for a while they are focusing on tasty sandwiches, snacks and Jacket potatoes and of course their amazing coffee and cakes! I love their Greek salad. I am gluten free and there are very tasty cakes on offer such as cappuccino cake and chocolate mint cake. My husband's favourites are Mac cheese and Lasagne. The meals look appetizing too and usually come with fresh salad and chips. Since lockdown, the Blossom cafe has taken the opportunity to refurbish the building, making it trendy with a bright vibrant Italian cafe vibe to reflect its owners friendly personalities! Francesca always welcomes us with a smile and we have a good laugh. The Blossom cafe is our local cafe, but even if we lived further away we'd go. If you love walking and cycling or have a dog you can find a nice countryside route finishing up sitting on the patio, looking over the Greensands ridge! I forgot to say that the afternoon teas look amazing (pre lockdown) and there are toilets and parking just outside the door!

My wife and I have been regulars at this cafe in its various incarnations over recent years and the present version is the best by a fairly long chalk. The food is freshly prepared and well cooked and the staff are friendly and competent. Free newspapers to read and a variety of comfortable seating. We did have some reservations that the plasant outside courtyard was sadly deficient in shade but this is gradually being rectified as more and more umbrellas appear. Oddly, the only meal I have had there which disappointed me was the homemade lasagne which I rather expected to be rather special. It wasn't.

Having been told how good this was, I was not surprised to find it crowded with people having a late-morning breakfast. Cafe-type tables crammed together plus some couches which were much in demand, so inevitably very noisy. I queued up to order the recommended breakfast. It took some time to appear, with white toast (instead of the wholemeal/granary toast that I had ordered) and inadequate butter; my requested crispy bacon was not. Sending things back would have put me out of synch with my companions, so I did not bother. I cook a better 'full English' breakfast for myself at home. I was not impressed. But everyone else seems to love it.

Have popped into this little cafe attached to a garden centre several times now and are never dissapointed. We tend to visit the restaurant as a reason for going then wander round the garden centre afterwards.

Decided to give it a second chance on Sunday and waited ten minutes for coffee because staff could not work machine, also ordered two toasties and was surprised that one of the slices of bread was it fact a rather chewy crust. I came here with a friend for a belated birthday cuppa. First impression is of a nice open room with one corner having comfy sofa rather than the wooden (cushion-less) chairs at the tables.Although not busy it seemed to take a while for what was a fairly simple order but when the order was ready, lovely white crockery was used and a good sized plate provided for my scone so things were looking up. They don't do Redbush tea but were happy to use the teabag I and with me ( but charged full rate for the drink).BUT a couple of things let this place down;1. Toilet - the toilet is right at the other end of the premises -not even inside the cafe- so you have to walk all the way back towards the entrance and out into the open to use the facilities and all the way back again to finish your cuppa. I don't imagine this would be nice on a cold or wet day.2. We really didn't enjoy the noise etc of the chairs being moved as staff were sweeping the floor. There were still 30 minutes before closing time when this started and by the time we left, 15 minutes before closing, all the chairs were on top of tables (think back to your school days!) apart from the ones we and 2 other couples were using. Not exactly conducive to a restful or welcoming visit.I appreciate that logistics may have made incorporating a toilet into the building difficult but I would avoid visiting towards the end of the afternoon again.

I'm always looking for new places to have a quality, reasonably priced lunch. This cafe is served by friendly staff. The food is tasty, with good portions. The baked potatoes were a little on the small side but the portions of pasta were better value for money. The rolls are fresh with a great selection of fillings and I recommend the soups. The settees give the cafe a homely touch which with the newspapers make a comfy place to relax over a cuppa. The service can be a little slow which can be frustrating if you're limited on time.

The cafe is attached to the smaller (but better) garden centre in Willington. Decently priced. Good bacon rolls. Very clean and well presented.

A basic selection of snack type food bot cold and hot, its of good quality and value. Go there at least twice a month and have been visiting since it opened. They even have newspapers you can read! Relaxing place to have a break from purchasing great value garden plants

Refurbished since we last visited. Good quality homemade food. Not the best options for Coeliac people as chips are fried in the same oil as other foods. Otherwise a very reasonable place for a meal out.

We had a well cooked, well prepared meal presented ready for us to take across Bedford. The owners were pleasant, polite and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal which saved my wife cooking, and enjoyed the standard wine. Only tricky bit was finding the entrance in the dark - but will be easier next time. Can recommend the dog house for a reasonably priced enjoyable meal.

I visited at lunch today. I have to say the staff were really friendly and attentive. I have been meaning to go since it re opened. I went with a friend and we both liked the way it has been done out. The staff member explained the lunch menu will be expanded over time. We had a couple of mini pizzas and chunky chips, all tasted good and was good value. I’ll definitely go back again and look forward to what the extended menu offers in the future. In a time of public closures it’s great to see one actually re open. 👍

Stopped here for food after a bike ride. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and they were happy to split an adults meal for our children. May encourage me to get on my bike more! Thank you

Booked a group birthday afternoon tea, I wouldn’t recommend it. We had jam and cream scones, cup cakes, strawberries and cream, samosa, quiche, macarons and finger sandwiches. Sandwich filling not the best Quiche and macarons 50p size CHEESE scones with jam and cream on aah Strawberries cut up with spray can cream Would have been a lot better if the cakes and scones had been homemade and other items not come from Tesco finger food
