Best bottomless brunch around, excellent service food was good and drinks a plenty, staff always friendly and helpful

Had a bottomless brunch and it was amazing. Sophie,who served us was just wonderful. Definitely worth the money. Will be back.

After reviewing the menu settled on 5 tapas plates, unfortunately 2 of our choices were unavailable. Picked different items paid and returned to our table. Just sat down and was informed another of our choices was also unavailable. Very disappointing. When we enquired what part was unavailable was informed that it hadn't been prepared so would take at least 45 mins to prepare the flatbread and dips we wanted and they assumed we would want to wait that long. We asked for a refund whilst we looked through the food menu again. We finally settled on 2 main dishes instead, and paid again, unfortunately our refund for the "non tapas" will take 3-4 days to return to our bank so out of pocket just In time for Christmas. Amazing how it's always instant payout yet takes days to refund. The cocktails 241 promotion was a lovely idea especially at Christmas and the food that's we finally decided to order was tasty. The floor manager apologised and supplied a free drink for the inconvenience but I would strongly recommend you pick at least 2/3 other choices before you order.

Went in evening so was a drinking fest but service was very bad and it wasn't that busy either, wasn't let in by door staff until they wanted to even though it was only quater full 🤷‍♂️. Music was ok but standing waiting for 15 mins to get served was terrible even though it wasn't that busy. 4/10

We had such a good time! We came for Christmas as a group after a bad experience and we are absolutely ecstatic with our service from Evie. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back due to her excellent service. Thank you! 🤍

I and a couple of friends attended for a bottomless brunch at the weekend. The place looks really Christmassy and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere with good tunes and great cocktails. Evie was our server and she was amazing and friendly, answered any questions we had ... all round fab member of staff. Great afternoon, we will be back!

I am here at the moment having bottomless brunch and I had to write a review to say how lovely your team member Sophie is. A total credit to the establishment. Decor was lovely also

First impression was good as venue looked welcoming and was decorated festively. Empty but no acknowledgement from staff until we reached the bar. We had pre-booked so our table was reserved and we were directed to a booth near the bar with menus already available. Starter order was taken a few minutes later, but a drink order had to be reminded. The calamari starter was ok but sticky chicken skewers were not so good… two anaemic looking chicken fillets on a bed of rocket and toasted corn ( which was actually cornflakes) looked very unappetising and was very bland tasting without the extra pot of sauce included. Main courses - Burger looked good but as a burger connoisseur not in my top 10, the smothered chicken was disappointing, again anaemic chicken which questions the cooking process, 1 piece of streaky bacon and limited cheese covered generously in bbq sauce Chips and peas ok, very similar to a meal at Weatherspoons at half the price! Despite being the only customers 2nd drink order forgotten and had to go to bar to remind Won’t rush to go back!

We had the best service from Mario this weekend, Could not have been more attentive and hospitable! The food was lovely with 10/10 service, we will be back and hopefully have him again as our server.

Visited the Bedford S&L recently with some friends and was mostly served by a lovely young chap, Mario. His service was quick, he was super friendly and approachable and just made our experience much more enjoyable than other places we have previously been to! Would recommend

Amazing place to come for drinks and 2 4 1 cocktails! Great atmosphere with great dj to accompany it. Great bar service especially from Mario , big smile on his face and making us feel welcome.

Last evening we went to this establishment for the first time with some friends as they have recommended to us many times. I have to say the food was amazing. Our server Mario was absolutely amazing. He went beyond our expectations, he smelled very very nice as my friends keep bragging about lol, he was very polite and a kind young lad to talk to, we had many laughs together. The cocktails he made were exceptional. Made our evening amazing. Definitely gonna come back soon. Hopefully the establishment will be busier as there weren’t many people.

It's a nice enough place, however, the service was slow despite the fact we were the only customers in there, and the cocktails tasted somewhat artificial in comparison to when we last visited year prior. Atmosphere is nice but the music too loud for a bar.

Molly is the loveliest server I have ever had! She is efficient and friendly and we didn’t have to ask for anything once! Would recommend 100%!

Me and my friends decided to do our first ever bottomless brunch but didn’t know what to expect. Firstly we was greeted and was allocated “Martin” as our personal waiter. Well he went above and beyond, he made our brunch better then we ever expected! We had THE BEST TIME thankyou so much we shall be back weekly ha! :)

I had a fantastic experience at Slug and Lettuce! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the creamy mushroom risotto, and the cocktail selection was impressive. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for a great meal and a fun time. Highly recommend! 5/5!

Nice place but very lazy staff at bar, waiting queues all the time, dirty toilets and same old music all the time when I been. Never stay too long, didn't enjoy the time

Food was really good as Brit was in the kitchen and every thing was spot on even with small adjustments to the menu , dani was our server for the afternoon and she was very attentive every drink was correct and came at a high standard as well as them arriving seconds within ordering them .

This is the second time coming to this slug and lettuce, 1st time was a bottomless brunch, service was extremely slow, and food was awful, menu was misleading regarding the pancakes which were clearly just brought from tescos next door, however on the way to Bedford Concerts thought I would give it another go. Wish i didn’t. It took 25 minutes to receive our first drinks which was a small glass of prosseco and a bottle of cider, this alone is awful, Then a lady 10 minutes later came and gave us a knife and fork while waiting for the food, and forgot to mention the 1 hour wait time on food. When we asked the next lady how long the wait time was she responded with “well if you ordered 30 minutes ago it’s probably another 30 minutes to go as you can see we’re very busy” no attempt for apology and no consideration whatsoever. needless to say extremely disappointed,

I had a very pleasant experience recently. I took my 3 sons along for some lunch on Saturday. The food was very tasty, the service was very nice. A few minutes after sitting down a member of staff, seeing my kids, came over with a children's menu. We ordered, the food was brought out to us with children's cutlery and the offer of sauces. It was all very tasty, particularly my steak sandwich - the steak had clearly been cooked (perfectly medium rare) before slicing which is the best way to do it, the children's fish was really light and crispy and of the same quality as the adults meals. I was very surprised to see how empty the place was on a Saturday lunch time, which was a real shame because the food was definitely worth going for. The only thing that perhaps let it down was the fact there was clearly a bottomless brunch happening opposite us, so 2 members of staff worked almost solely on that, while 1 manned the bar leaving a very young, perhaps inexperienced server to cover the rest of the floor. This was OK, and I understand why it was so, but it did impact our service a bit. However, near the end, I took my boys to the changing room and the lady behind the bar saw us and immediately brought out the key. All in all I'd say a very positive lunch, and I will be back, but perhaps have an extra pair of hands or share out the workload a little differently if there's a brunch on. I hope this is taken as positively as it's meant.

Bottomless brunch was great. Service from Ames was very lovely and speedy! Food was all tasty but the egg waffle portion and Mexican brunch were very small in comparison to the other meals!

Couldn’t recommend this place more! Dani is an absolute credit to the place! From the moment we walked in Friday afternoon she showed a professional and kind Manner and was approachable and made such an effort with us. She took the time to explain everything to us. We required special dietary requirements and this has been the first venue in the last week that made our experience so easy regarding this! Brit food who prepared the food did an amazing job! I honestly couldn’t recommend the venue and service there!

Myself and my friends came here for a bottomless brunch for my 21st and had the best time. Our waiter, Liban, was sooo lovely and really catered to my birthday by bringing Prosecco and shots. You just feel very cared about. He really did live up to the bottomless brunch by constantly checking in with us for drinks - he even started to learn by memory what every individual liked to order. I’m so impressed - myself and my group have said we would love to come back.

We booked a table for drinks but wanted to change to food, after trying several times over 3 days I couldn't get through on the phone but then requested by email but was told there were too many bookings already at that time. When we arrived I mentioned to the server that I hadn't been able to speak with anyone as the phone just kept ringing out and were were told they didn't know where the phone had gone as it had been missing for 3 days. Seeing that there were only a few people there I asked if there was any chance of food even at this early time of 6pm. At this point Mollie jumped in to the conversation quite aggressively stating that they only have one chef on a Friday and that we had already been told by her manager over the phone that no food was available. I pointed out that we had no phone contact as already explained and she was abrupt and bristly back to me. I then asked her managers name as I was stunned by the attitude and rudeness to which I was told by Mollie as she walked away that she is the manager. We remained while we waited for the whole of our group to arrive and in that whole time only 3 tables were served with food. Not much of way to run a business if indeed she is the manager. Our custom was welcomed elsewhere along with over £300 ofcustom

Me and my girls came for bottomless brunch and was served by Pebbles and she was so welcoming and friendly! Enjoyed every minute of it!

Worst meal ever! Ordered the steak sandwich from the menu and the steak wasn’t even cooked and was extremely chewy and hard in some parts to the point we couldn’t even get a steak knife through it and this happened to 3 of us and we all had exactly the same problem with the meal! And also the toilet had flies everywhere! Wouldn’t recommend

My husband and I were not thrilled with our bottomless brunch experience here. The restaurant was practically empty on a Friday evening, which should have been a sign. The table we were led to was visibly dirty, with crumbs all over the seats, what appeared to be dandruff on the backrest which my husband had to brush off before sitting down, and gnats buzzing around the light above the table. We ordered our drinks, food came out relatively quick. The food was average, though my husband's "roasted" tomatoes were ice cold while mine were warm. We were swatting gnats away for the entire meal, and one divebombed into my last drink, so I didn't finish it. Overall, I felt like the value was lacking for the price, and for how empty it was during our visit, cleanliness was definitely an issue.
