Food was really good as Brit was in the kitchen and every thing was spot on even with small adjustments to the menu , dani was our server for the afternoon and she was very attentive every drink was correct and came at a high standard as well as them arriving seconds within ordering them .

This is the second time coming to this slug and lettuce, 1st time was a bottomless brunch, service was extremely slow, and food was awful, menu was misleading regarding the pancakes which were clearly just brought from tescos next door, however on the way to Bedford Concerts thought I would give it another go. Wish i didn’t. It took 25 minutes to receive our first drinks which was a small glass of prosseco and a bottle of cider, this alone is awful, Then a lady 10 minutes later came and gave us a knife and fork while waiting for the food, and forgot to mention the 1 hour wait time on food. When we asked the next lady how long the wait time was she responded with “well if you ordered 30 minutes ago it’s probably another 30 minutes to go as you can see we’re very busy” no attempt for apology and no consideration whatsoever. needless to say extremely disappointed,

I had a very pleasant experience recently. I took my 3 sons along for some lunch on Saturday. The food was very tasty, the service was very nice. A few minutes after sitting down a member of staff, seeing my kids, came over with a children's menu. We ordered, the food was brought out to us with children's cutlery and the offer of sauces. It was all very tasty, particularly my steak sandwich - the steak had clearly been cooked (perfectly medium rare) before slicing which is the best way to do it, the children's fish was really light and crispy and of the same quality as the adults meals. I was very surprised to see how empty the place was on a Saturday lunch time, which was a real shame because the food was definitely worth going for. The only thing that perhaps let it down was the fact there was clearly a bottomless brunch happening opposite us, so 2 members of staff worked almost solely on that, while 1 manned the bar leaving a very young, perhaps inexperienced server to cover the rest of the floor. This was OK, and I understand why it was so, but it did impact our service a bit. However, near the end, I took my boys to the changing room and the lady behind the bar saw us and immediately brought out the key. All in all I'd say a very positive lunch, and I will be back, but perhaps have an extra pair of hands or share out the workload a little differently if there's a brunch on. I hope this is taken as positively as it's meant.

Pebbles was amazing, so attentive! We had the bottomless brunch and we were never without a drink we felt really looked after. ❤️ the food was lovely too really fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back

Bottomless brunch was great. Service from Ames was very lovely and speedy! Food was all tasty but the egg waffle portion and Mexican brunch were very small in comparison to the other meals!

Couldn’t recommend this place more! Dani is an absolute credit to the place! From the moment we walked in Friday afternoon she showed a professional and kind Manner and was approachable and made such an effort with us. She took the time to explain everything to us. We required special dietary requirements and this has been the first venue in the last week that made our experience so easy regarding this! Brit food who prepared the food did an amazing job! I honestly couldn’t recommend the venue and service there!

Myself and my friends came here for a bottomless brunch for my 21st and had the best time. Our waiter, Liban, was sooo lovely and really catered to my birthday by bringing Prosecco and shots. You just feel very cared about. He really did live up to the bottomless brunch by constantly checking in with us for drinks - he even started to learn by memory what every individual liked to order. I’m so impressed - myself and my group have said we would love to come back.

this was our first bottomless brunch for 2 people and it was honestly so good. we had 7 drinks per person and it was worth it so much. the chicken burger was amazing and the service was amazing. would definitely do it again xx

We booked a table for drinks but wanted to change to food, after trying several times over 3 days I couldn't get through on the phone but then requested by email but was told there were too many bookings already at that time. When we arrived I mentioned to the server that I hadn't been able to speak with anyone as the phone just kept ringing out and were were told they didn't know where the phone had gone as it had been missing for 3 days. Seeing that there were only a few people there I asked if there was any chance of food even at this early time of 6pm. At this point Mollie jumped in to the conversation quite aggressively stating that they only have one chef on a Friday and that we had already been told by her manager over the phone that no food was available. I pointed out that we had no phone contact as already explained and she was abrupt and bristly back to me. I then asked her managers name as I was stunned by the attitude and rudeness to which I was told by Mollie as she walked away that she is the manager. We remained while we waited for the whole of our group to arrive and in that whole time only 3 tables were served with food. Not much of way to run a business if indeed she is the manager. Our custom was welcomed elsewhere along with over £300 ofcustom

Me and my girls came for bottomless brunch and was served by Pebbles and she was so welcoming and friendly! Enjoyed every minute of it!

Worst meal ever! Ordered the steak sandwich from the menu and the steak wasn’t even cooked and was extremely chewy and hard in some parts to the point we couldn’t even get a steak knife through it and this happened to 3 of us and we all had exactly the same problem with the meal! And also the toilet had flies everywhere! Wouldn’t recommend

My husband and I were not thrilled with our bottomless brunch experience here. The restaurant was practically empty on a Friday evening, which should have been a sign. The table we were led to was visibly dirty, with crumbs all over the seats, what appeared to be dandruff on the backrest which my husband had to brush off before sitting down, and gnats buzzing around the light above the table. We ordered our drinks, food came out relatively quick. The food was average, though my husband's "roasted" tomatoes were ice cold while mine were warm. We were swatting gnats away for the entire meal, and one divebombed into my last drink, so I didn't finish it. Overall, I felt like the value was lacking for the price, and for how empty it was during our visit, cleanliness was definitely an issue.

Two hours bottomless brunch, we were served by Pebbles who was brilliant! Kept the drinks flowing and even extended us by 20 minutes as we were late arriving! The food cooked by Josh was amazing, no complaints ! Will certainly return.

My first and last visit. Booked with 4 friends for 2 hour bottomless brunch. Service was disappointing, had to keep calling the waitress over to order drinks, who made us feel like we were bothering her. To be fair to her she was covering 4 tables while 3 of her colleagues were standing behind the bar chatting so probably had every right to be pissed off. Really didn’t feel it was value for money at £33 each. We spoke with the team leader about the service and the waitresses attitude and all she could do was apologise saying they were short staffed, well their staffing issues weren’t anything to do with us and it’s not our fault If you can’t manage your bookings. Disappointed 😞

Took my daughter for lunch today and we both really enjoyed it. Managed to get a main, dessert and drink for her and a main, drink and 2 cocktails for £25. Food was really nice 😍 and the service was great too. Lovely ladies behind the bar. Couldn't fault it at all. Will definitely return for lunch soon :)

s&l bedford for afternoon brunch, late mother’s day present :) Aimee who looked after us was amazing :) thank you. We always had new drinks, never a empty glass! food wasn’t the best, tasted, like poor quality food. didn’t like burger at all, tacos seem to be missing the raspberries, was more like just cream on shops bought pancakes. sounded far better than it actually tasted. Overall, atmosphere was great, music was good, services was spot on.

We were walking past after shopping with my children and asked a very friendly member of staff sitting outside if children were allowed in to eat. She was brilliant and said they can be in until 7, and they had a children’s menu. She made us feel very welcome. So we went in to grab a bite to eat and were surprised how lovely it was. All staff members we spoke to were professional, friendly and food tasted great. Staff gave my girls flower headbands so they felt part of the celebration in there. Portion size was big on the food and the atmosphere was very friendly. Thank you to all staff that made our experience a great one. We loved the Photo Booth that was near our table as well. Overall if your looking for a place to eat during the day with family we highly recommend and will be returning next time we visit Bedford.

The service from Liban was good. There was quite a wait to initially be served but once Liban started serving it was good. Some of the staff were a little abrupt but there were two members of staff who worked hard to serve during a very busy time. Food was lovely, as were the drinks. Thanks!

Never had such a bad experience we was 2 mins late to be told we couldn't have our table due to a big table coming in after us.They arrived 15 mins late and wasn't a problem.They was freinds of ours after they ate they asked us to join them to be told we wasn't allowed.We was buying our own drinks so we was asked to leave the manager there realy needs to be retrained as she hasn't many people skills very disappointed as it was my daughters 30th birthday I would avoid this place wat a let down

A verry chic & popular place for all ages to visit, mainly the young adult population. I didn't stay long as I had other appointments to attend, yet my companions, told me that they were truly spoilt for choice. The venue can get quite busy on Friday & Saturday nights + you have many steps to climb for accessing the toilets. There is a disabled toilet, which the staff seemed unwilling to inform my friend, where its located. I knew, as I'd visited the venue in it's previous venture. Its in a tight corner which can yet crowded & therefore hinder access. If you're looking for a place that does a wide range off cocktails, then this is the place for you. Not the usual drinking facility that I'd visit regularly, but great for events to celebrate with friends for special occasions.

Popped in for food before attending a show at the Corn Exchange. Considering it is a chain, not a one off restaurant, the food was good. In addition, the service from the lovely Pebbles was impeccable. She was polite and friendly throughout our visit.

I was unsure at first whether the Slug and Lettuce establishment in Bedford would accept a reservation from my son and I as my son has a sometimes tough to handle learning difficulty. Fortunately they accepted us both with open arms and I want to thank our server Molly especially for serving my son a spoonful of his dinner like an aeroplane on request!
