Wendover Caffe in Bedford

The best fry up breakfast in Bedford. Cooked with care and absolutely delicious every time. Very friendly staff. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my up.

Fantastic place to eat, I had the full English breakfast. Very well made and presented. The staff and waiters are really well spoken. Enough food served on my plate, I couldn't eat it all, and felt guilty leaving it. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars for atmosphere, only because, it was very cold in there. It's okay for the waiters and staff because they are working near to the massive cookers, so they will be nice and warm, it looked like everyone was wearing their coats it's that cold. I'm afraid, when you're cold, it spoils everything, the food, the service and the atmosphere. If they had put the heating on, I would of enjoyed my breakfast and I would of gave 5 and half stars if I could. Being cold makes a big difference. Would I eat there again. Yes definitely, the food is great, but I will only go in the summer. No offence.

Curry was shocking, cheap frozen processed chicken given wooden fork to eat the service is terrible I been a few times they never smile never have conversation miserable as sin definitely wouldn't win a thing in charm school lol would definitely not recommend this establishment,absolutely terrible 😲😲😲

First time customer and a really great breakfast. I went for the 5 star and couldn't finish it. Quality ingredients and cooked well. Good value for money and the service was excellent. I was also able to get a selection of Italian pastries from the bakery area so my wife was well happy when I got home.

My favourite place to get a fry up in Bedford! Top quality every time. Been coming here for 6 years and am yet to have a bad experience. The establishment is clean and the staff are friendly. Tends to be super busy in the mornings as it's such a popular breakfast spot! Top tip- order a fried mozzarella on the side of your fry up! Will clog your arteries, but it's totally worth it!

I took one star off because of the price. It is a bit pricey. Cant fault the food it was tasty.

Very tasty breakfast. Good value. Thick bacon, sausage, egg, beans, mushroom, tomatoes, saute potatoes, fried bread and toast with drink included. Also sells a range of Italian foods including lasagne which looked tasty. Definitely go back for more

Proper greasy spoon cafe, however food is definitely not greasy. Good variety of food, including a good selection of homemade items inc lasagne and pastries. Eat in is a tad cramped but worth the squeeze.

Fab little cafe, with an excellent breakfast menu. Tables are thoroughly cleaned between customers. Tea is strong and hot and there's plenty of delicious looking fresh bread and Italian food to take away

Wendover Caffe/Honeycrust bakery this place is practically a piece of Bedford's recent history. I lived abroad for almost 5 years and came back and they still remembered me, asking where I have been and how my family is. It's the ultimate breakfast place (although their other food is also delicious) but I always have a full English breakfast when I go here. It can't be beaten on price and if you just want a good, old-fashioned fashioned fry up with a cuppa, this is the place to go.

A hidden gem we are lucky enough to have on the Wendover roundabout; super friendly staff, low prices for absolutely delicious food. When I have guests coming over and I don't have time to cook, I ask them for a whole sheet pan of any of their lasagnas and everybody's beyond happy!

If your not from Bedford then I would recommend a visit, breakfast is lush, pasta is top tier homemade and to finish off they have Bedfords finest chocolate toothpaste (you’ll thank me after for the recommendation if you haven’t had a toothpaste)

Found this place after a delivery,as I was due a tacho break. What a great experience. Just like walking in a café abroad. Fresh bread,home cooked food and pastries. The staff were excellent to say that they were going to be closing. Still fed me and I enjoyed sitting outside and eating my lunch in the sun.

Absolutely brilliant meal, the best lasagna I've ever had. So big my husband had to finish it for me. Lovely side salad and a great coffee. We'll definitely be back 🤤

Breakfast was good to be fair although slightly expensive. But me and friend order breakfast at Same time, 10 minutes between my one arriving and friends arriving, not good, I had finished when his arrived. Not good, not acceptable.

I've just moved to the area and thought I'd try this cafe out. I'm quite a fuddy eater but decided to have Jacket Potato, with backed beans and cheese. The potato was done spot on and not sure how but they had done it so the cheese melted under the baked beans which was lovely. The staff were really friendly and made me feel like a member of their family and it's also reasonably priced as well. Would certainly recommend.

Never ever have i had a bad breakfast in The Wendover Cafe. The quality remains constantly excellent .The owners always lovely which is reflected by the staff behind the counter including the chef and kitchen staff. A varied menu available including takeaway. Love this date

Fantastic. We both had different pastas, both were great, big portions, fair price. Then we shared a piece of lemon cheesecake. That was out of this world. We have big appetites but were stuffed! Loved it, would certainly recommend

My favorite cafe staff are amazing the owners are down to earth and hard working, i am a pilot i visit many cafes around the globe this is top of the list for me, they are opening uo a pizza parlour next door soon if this is anything like their cafe it will be an amazing place to eat!!

Tried to order over the phone, asked for a menu was told "it's on the website" and after asking where, because it's not. Was told It's there. Shame I never got to try it. The rating is of this staff member losing business.

I have been to Bedford Biggleswade and Ampthill. Ampthill is by fat the cleanest the best organise friendly and most helpful of the three well done.

Great place for natural home cooked family food. An undiscovered gem, as everyone thinks all you can do here is have breakfast! If this was in Islington it would be impossible to get a seat, there is absolutely loads of free parking, five or six specials of the day companied by a wide variety of fresh vegetables or salads, mashed potato roast potato.. local chilies if you fancy those on the side all for only about £5-7 all home-made in their massive kitchen. Generous portions, or if you prefer pasta you can choose from at least seven or eight delicious dishes including spinach and ricotta cannelloni home made on the premises of course. They have homemade arancini, schnitzel, special Italian pies which are amazing, If you're up for a cake or desert you can choose from approximately 20 different Italian cakes. Come and try it and you'll be amazed at how much more there is than their breakfast menu :)
