The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in East of England

Very ironic, The Watering Place, clue’s in the name, but it isn’t. We were told there was a 20 min wait, fine, went to a table but asked for a glass of water. It didn’t arrive. I went to the counter and asked for a glass of water, and picked up a menu, no water arrived. Young man arrived, awhile later and took our order. I asked for a jug of water, he wrote it down twice on his notebook. No water arrived. I asked a passing waitress ‘could I have a glass of water?’. No water arrived. We left and had a wonderful lunch, with water, (!) at The White Horse, in a short time. How sad, it’s a wonderful place, gorgeous garden. The staff need training or replacing, Unforch. Never had an experience like this.

Actually disappointed that you get barred for the most pettiest of reasons that doesn’t warrant 6 months. Now one of our friends from the whole group can not join and we have events and Xmas parties coming up.

We had a very good, healthy and tasty lunch (Puy lentils, roasted beetroot, walnuts, watercress, and mixed leaves). The young man serving us was excellent. He asked us which options were available at each stage when serving the meals. Very clear and helpful. When at the till there wasn't room on the tray for the tea, so the lady at the till helpfully brought the tea over to our table and moved a chair so I could get to the table in my wheelchair. A lovely healthy meal at a very reasonable cost with service that was prompt and helpful.

Everything was great till we were about to go my wife visited the toilets which were absolutely disgusting were told by a staff member they were the old ones as they couldn't do everything this doesn't mean they should be dirty wont be going back in a hurry

Love their apple Danish!!! Very helpful waitress and they sort out light meals. Closes far too early and they make sure customers leave before 3pm as they clean before they shut. Very good coffee!

First visit since this restaurant changed from being a Wimpy to now being called The Diner, I believe it’s the same people running it but a vast improvement now. A great choice on the menu and the food is 100% better than it was before. I had the half pounder and chips and my wife had gammon egg and chips, both were well presented and tasted lovely. She managed to fit in sticky toffee pudding and custard which looked lovely and she said it tasted great. There is a good selection on offer here at very reasonable prices, well worth a visit.

I have lovely hot egg salad baguette. It was so fresh and tasty. Staff warm and friendly and easy to park outside. Great value for money! Thankyou for your lovely service.

Stopping over in Diss for lunch on the way to the Suffolk coast, came across this cafe, looked inviting enough, with spaces inside. Coffee was very good - cappucchino and americano, and the New Yorker sandwich was wholesome tasty and very satisfying. Friendly service noted. Recommended!

This was a regular stop for their wonderful cakes and breakfasts. They had been advertising afternoon teas so we decided to treat ourselves just before going on holiday. We booked a few weeks in advance but when we arrived on the day we found the gates locked. We did see the owner leaving but he just said "we're closed - got no staff" and drove off. The whole garden center has been closed since and word is they went bankrupt. We feel really sorry for the wonderful staff and can only hope they found something else 😢

Pros: Charming cafe in a beautiful location. Excellent coffee and desserts that are definitely worth trying. The staff was welcoming, with Anastasia providing great food recommendations. Cons: Dogs aren’t allowed inside, however there’s a dog-friendly yard outside. A lovely spot overall, slightly less convenient for pet owners during colder weather

He estado en un par de veces y NUNCA veo a nadie en el mostrador sonreír. Una sonrisa va a lo largo. Aunque había una camarera en el piso que fue amable y saludó a mi perro. Pero generalmente cuando estoy ahí la gente que hace las bebidas no es amable. Lo entiendo, has tenido un día duro, pero no es difícil sonreír. Trabajas en servicio al cliente. En cuanto a las bebidas, pedí un chai latte (helado) en verano y fue asqueroso, en ese momento pensé que quizás era porque estaba helado y hubiera estado mejor caliente. ¡Oh qué equivocado estaba... Decidí, ¿sabes qué? Lo intentaré de nuevo... fui hace unas semanas y pedí un chai latte caliente. ¡Aún peor! No sé qué chai o qué leche (avena) usas, pero wow, ¿sabes a agua mezclada con un poco de sabor? ¡No como en ningún otro sitio que haya probado! Por favor, hazlo mejor.

The staff was friendly and easy to get a laugh from. they work well as a team and the cakes and huge pot of tea was welcome after a few hours of shopping.

Desafortunadamente, excepto por la gente encantadora que trabaja allí y la ubicación conveniente para el parque científico, es un lugar realmente malo con algo de comida terrible. Tampoco muy barato. Desafortunadamente, el parque científico Cambridge es un lugar muy pobre sin casi instalaciones, por lo que incluso una mala cafetería estará ocupada a la hora del almuerzo. Muy triste... Arrived at 14:30 to find it shut. This is not unusual as it frequently shuts early. I have never known it open at 17:00 although it may well do. Cannot rely on the cafe being open after shopping. Do not make popping in a part of your plans.
