Fantastic pub, lovely staff especially Mark. Stayed in London for 6 weeks for work commitments and the good companion easily became my new local. All staff have an approachable can do attitude nothing is too much of an ask. Thank you for being so lovely to a london outsider! X

Fantastic and adaptable yet expensive drinks and food. Decorations are always outstanding and is great for drive through or eating in.

Actually disappointed that you get barred for the most pettiest of reasons that doesn’t warrant 6 months. Now one of our friends from the whole group can not join and we have events and Xmas parties coming up.

This was a regular stop for their wonderful cakes and breakfasts. They had been advertising afternoon teas so we decided to treat ourselves just before going on holiday. We booked a few weeks in advance but when we arrived on the day we found the gates locked. We did see the owner leaving but he just said "we're closed - got no staff" and drove off. The whole garden center has been closed since and word is they went bankrupt. We feel really sorry for the wonderful staff and can only hope they found something else 😢

Very over priced compared to a local bakery wasn't told some of the things I had bought were vegan until paid for . The custard apple crumble tart was bland tasteless and really hard . I actually binned it after a few mouthfuls. Really disappointed as I paid 19 pounds for a few items won't go back again

Small portions, terrible catering sausages and hard overcooked eggs. The staff were rude when my pal complained. Also the bread was stale and the margarine tasted like axel grease. They was also charging gourmet prices for a sub par poorly cooked ingredients. To top it off the tea was rubbish as well. The worst cafes I've visited without exception.

I visited here with my husband for breakfast. We had been to the Garden Centre before but not the cafe. The Garden Centre has it's own car park, which is large and has plenty of spaces. The cafe looks lovely. The decor is light and airy and they have bits and bobs used as decoration that you can buy yourself from the shop. You can sit inside, in a conservatory area or outside. We sat inside. My husband ordered a large breakfast, I ordered toast and jam and we got a tea each. You order and pay at the till then collect your own cutlery / sauces etc before sitting down. Lovely if there a re a few of you, not so much for a single diner who would return to their table to find it taken by others. The ordering process was SLOW. The lady on the till was quite flappy and it was painful to stand and watch her. It made the till area very busy as the queue to order was getting longer and longer. The guy making the drinks wasn't any quicker. There were about 4 tables ahead of us when we ordered. Despite this, the food came out very quickly (not a good sign). My toast was floppy bread with a slight crust to the outside. Not amazing bread made worse by not toasting it properly. It had the floppy, cold texture of those rolling toast machines you get in hotels. My husband's breakfast was a mix of being cold and lukewarm. It came out so quickly I think they must have bulk cooked food in preparation and kept it hot plated. It was so cold he couldn't eat it and took it back. After them just looking at him, they replaced his breakfast. Despite no apology at the till when returning it, the guy who brought the second one out was lovely and apologised. However, my toast wasn't replaced, not the drinks, so I had already finished my food before my husband's replacement came out so he felt awkward eating alone and it took the shine out of our breakfast treat. My husband said the breakfast wasn't great. The fried bread was just oily and nasty and the ingredients just 'meh'. The scones looked lovely and we got a couple to take home and to be fair, these were very nice. Looking at the cakes and other scones they had out, these all looked delicious too. The cafe isn't cheap. And the food isn't worth what we paid. The staff are unfriendly and appear very untrained. No one seemed to look like they were enjoying working there and the service was utterly shambolic. As stated above, the cakes all looked very nice so maybe this is somewhere to go for a nice bit of cake and a coffee whilst browsing the Garden Centre itself. We will return to the Garden Centre again as it is a nice place for plants. But for a meal, we would not return here. It was bad.

We had a very good, healthy and tasty lunch (Puy lentils, roasted beetroot, walnuts, watercress, and mixed leaves). The young man serving us was excellent. He asked us which options were available at each stage when serving the meals. Very clear and helpful. When at the till there wasn't room on the tray for the tea, so the lady at the till helpfully brought the tea over to our table and moved a chair so I could get to the table in my wheelchair. A lovely healthy meal at a very reasonable cost with service that was prompt and helpful.

Nice coffee, busy place still service was good. Wtf is wrong with food...went 3 times in 3 days, 2 times for lunch & 1 for brekkie. Dishes are not as what they say on the menu for eg Huevos Rancheros £10.95...was nothing as menu explained, No Charred corn salsa, No corainder, No tomato salsa and stir bakery Flat bread was abomination of flat bread, especially for a place who prides on its bakery !! My 10 year niece can make a flat bread but stir chef .sorry a Cook.. made it cracked, dry and raw. We both wasted it. Topping up with loads of Pea shoots dont make a dish better A day earlier had ordered a BLT with poached egg....extra dry and hard bacon is not an ideal Streaky bacon in any sandwich. 2 thin slices of avocado dont construe as smashed avocado , so again not as what the menu says. Thank god cambridge is full of loaded people who have more money than sense to visit this place. Advice to owner or mgmt of Stir - 1) keep a tap on what & how food is served in your cafes, i know its hard this days to find catering staff but dnt hire cowboys !! 2) Dont fill up your cafes so much beyond capacity that things go out of hand for catering staff to serve a nice decent meal or get there prep sorted. Honestly it was my mistake, after having a bad food experience on Thur..i was stupid enough to venture again on friday well lesson learned.

Unfortunately, except for the lovely people that work there and the convenient location to the science park, it's a really bad place with some terrible food. Not very cheap either. Unfortunately, Cambridge science park is a very poor place with almost no facilities, so even a bad coffee shop will be busy at lunch time. Very sad.... Science park management is clearly not qualified for the job.
