Love the environment here. Friendly and kind staff. I'm in here often - Good space to work from, which a number of people do. Good coffee - best of the chains imo. I'm young (ish!), but one thing I've noticed is how good some of the staff are with older people, helping them out/chatting with them etc - I think that is a credit to the staff and the shop.

Stopped off here whilst walking and sat outside with our dogs (also dog friendly inside). Outside seating overlooks the 9th/18th hole. Had a few drinks - bar staff professional and attentive. Also ordered a pizza which was really tasty - £15 so not cheap - but it was good. The locals and golfers were so friendly and chatty with us and really made us feel welcome. Would recommend for drinks or food and would definitely visit again.

Rude and very unfriendly staff , food was way below average , Has gone down hill over the years , just like many other national trust cafe , national trust sanwiches served in carboard packaging are simply awful , would recomend to take your own food and drinks because going to the cafe will ruin your day for sure

I am lost for words to describe my meal at our local spoons. I decided to have the brie and cranberry burger. When it arrived I could not believe they would actually serve this to someone. The bun was toasted to an inch of its life. The two patties were burnt so badly they looked like tarmac and they were so thin they could have been run over by a steam roller. I asked for a replacement which when it arrived was no better. I was so hungry at this point I had a go at eating it. The only plus to the whole experience was the two pigs in blankets and the chips. I will think twice before ordering food there again. It was a busy night in there but no excuse to serve sub standard food.

We decided to try this tea room for the first time after being given an afternoon tea for 2 gift card as a birthday treat. I have to say we were more than happy with the whole experience. It was welcoming, the staff were brilliant and the surroundings were very clean. We had 2 lovely sandwiches with a salad garnish. The salad leaves were so fresh, brilliant. Followed by 2 very good fruit scones, jam and clotted cream and more little cakes on the top tier of the cake stand . Tea and coffee was also included. Thank you.

Very average, the rooms could do with doing up looking run down, the food is expensive and not worth the money. It’s a 15 minute walk from the town.

The girl on the counter didn't explain one of the deals to us very well, all 3 of us misunderstood her, when I later queried it with her she spoke to me like a child and gave me a 'look'.

The Sportsman is a proper gem! Since the new owners took over the place has been transformed into a warm, welcoming pub full of character. The home-cooked food is always top-notch, and they serve a wide selection of beers, making it a great place for a proper pint and a bite to eat. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always up for a chat, adding to the pub’s welcoming atmosphere. The quiz night is an absolute must, always packed, full of laughs and a highlight of the week. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you won’t find a better pub in the area!

Starbucks is starting to price itself out of the market . The place is spotless and friendly staff but 9.80 for two coffees is London prices
