Small, basic but does the job. Nice food, small menu but covers most needs. Clean toilets. Good and fair prices. Starting to display Christmas items.

What did I like about the place….Not a lot, staff helpful. Breakfast was nice but extortionate. The disabled room was not fit for purpose. Furniture layout wrong. Crick in neck to watch tv and phone on wall out of reach. Bathroom, handbasin too small no place to put toiletries and no handwashing gel at basin or towels nearby. Room was also located a long way from reception if you are a manual wheelchair user!!! Restaurant food massively overpriced and mediocre…I’d have rather gone to Macdonalds and I don’t like Macdonalds !!!

Hadn't been here for ages as it is not the best of places for refreshments. We called in today to get a refund for some slippers that started to fall apart after less than two weeks. Person serving not very bright ! I put the defective slippers on the counter with my receipt at the side of them. I told him one of the slippers was falling apart after less than two weeks. In typical robotic style he uttered, "Have you got your receipt ?" Help!! As we were in there we decided we would just have a tea and cappuccino before walking back for the park and ride bus to return to our car. Queue was not too long but service was, as usual, so slow. The walking art gallery woman serving ought to have her long dyed blonde hair tied back as she was flicking and shaking it about all the time and where food is involved this is not good hygiene practice. Then, as we were sitting and having our drinks we, and several others, were shocked by a bang as a roof tile dropped down on an unfortunate customer sitting a few seats away. Luckily he didn't appear to be injured. I was shocked as well as I have PTSD. There was an area that was screened off for work in progress but it was inadequately guarded and the seats and table should never have been as close to the screened area as they were - as this poor chap discovered ! All in all, a very eventful visit but for the wrong reasons.

Popped in late afternoon and had cappuccino and chocolate twist pastry 👍 Not a big fan of Costa but found it all to be ok and staff friendly enough. What I can’t believe is how scary walking around Peterborough is nowadays with people lurking around and being intimidating. I won’t be returning!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Menu. Friendly welcome and good service. We had the Christmas Menu which is 3 courses for £21.95 had to be ordered in advance but that was not a problem. Good choice and food cooked well and also good quality. Especially enjoyed the brandy sauce on the Christmas pudding. Will definitely eat here again.

I have visited this Caffe Nero many times over the years but today will be the last of those visits. They are supposed to serve strong Italian coffee but what did we get - BROWN WATER. They can no longer claim that this is Italian coffee as any Italian would be embarrassed by that claim. Avoid this Caffe Nero at all costs, it is actually worse than Starbucks and that is really saying something!

As English Heritage members we call in at Audley sometimes for a snack on the way past. After our last visit in August I wrote to English Heritage to complain about the café but have not had any response so I decided to leave this review. My concerns were several - young staff with no supervision and rushed off their feet ( not their fault ). Food uncovered on a counter extremely close to where people were queuing and walking past. This is a serious hygiene matter. ( E.H. need to take a look at National Trust cafes ). Tables dirty full of used crockery and leftover food. There was a trolley for customers to use but tucked in a corner. Take a picnic, there are beautiful grounds to sit in and tables near the house which I might add is magnificent.

I played a game of bridge at the best bridge club in Essex, First Class Bridge Academy and wanted a quick sandwich before the game. Popped in here, basic cafe, nothing special, tbh looks like the factory pass from 'Dinner Ladies' I ordered an egg mayo sandwich and a diet coke £9 😯 yep, seriously £9, I actually queried the amount but I think the heat must have got to me because all I could come up with was 'blimey'. It was served with a dead lettuce and a slice of cucumber and what looked like leftover crisps, no napkin, no condiments and not on a silver platter, which was disappointing at that price ! Young mum's beware, bring your own picnic because the prices in this rip off joint will spoil an otherwise lovely day out.

Great little place, nice location and the specialty blends set them apart. Staff are also very helpful! Also like the bike parking options and outdoor seating

Called in here to look at the antiques. We bought a small item and were served by the most miserable sour faced, unfriendly, man we had ever seen. On the way out we bought some of the excellent cakes on offer to take home and were served by a helpful friendly young lady and a jolly friendly young lad. Maybe they could teach the old bloke a few things about customer service ?
