we got the waffles not only where we very exited but we were also paid the large price of £30 and the delivery took 3 hours so i’d like to complain about mohammed denaz. not only was he shouting at 13 year olds but his car was loud and ugly. the waffles or should i say cardboard crap with chocolate on it. absolutely terrible looked amazing, as soon as it came within a minute of my tastebuds i spat it back out as i litterly thought i closed my eyes and accidentally ate the cardboard around it, utter suger honey ice tea. be warned if anyone gets it you will poo yourself the next day and if gave me the poops. constipated for months as it digested cardbored, shittesttaste i’ve ever had kaspers will be next time, #tibandvonemorelikeneverfuxkinggo,#stepitup

Tub and Cone were booked for a leavers party. Food was fantastic, great variety and reasonably priced. Made a lovely treat for the leavers. Thank you

Lovely cake and friendly chatty staff I have been a couple times and me and my kids love it every time, we especially love the scrummy ice cream on a sunny day😋

Came here and I had a white chocolate and strawberry waffle it hit the spot 10/10 Fresh strawberries and banana with white chocolate shavings and lashings of white chocolate sauce. Complemented with vanilla gelato well worth the price. The eatery is always clean and there is always a table even when they are busy. The food is served freshly made and the wait is hardly anything to think about. The staff are so polite and very accommodating.

Always visit here on a Saturday such friendly staff and scrummy food the girls really take pride in the presentation of the waffles ❤️

I ordered a strawberry and nutella pancake on 10.10.2023. Firstly, it took about 25 mins for a driver to be assigned because they were busy… ok, understandable they’re popular (although I have no idea why!) After finally getting a driver assigned, our food arrived… and what turned up for me was what I can guess a kinder beuno chocolate pancakes (image attached) I mean, does that look like strawberries?! No. We immediately requested a refund via Just Eat whom we ordered it through, now I know, Tub & Cone don’t control Just Eat BUT if they hadn’t got the order incorrect what happened next wouldn’t have happened! Just Eat are refusing to give a refund and instead given us credits… I just don’t understand why this is an option! If a shop has messed up, and the wrong order has turned up, REFUND THE CUSTOMER. I can safely say we will never be ordering from here again, because we don’t want pot luck on our dessert… we want what we ordered!

We newly moved to the area and my wife had told me about the place and it had good reviews. We were going to Tesco’s to get some dessert after dinner and decided to have dessert there. Firstly, most of the tubs were nearly empty and the signage was all wrong as they were all over the place. We ordered 1 double cone, 1 single tub and 1 single cone the total £10.40p, a bit expensive but we were expecting something rather special. The ice creams were all goooey and soft, the mint was like mouthwash, but my son ate it. My wife managed to eat hers a Ferraro rocher but didn’t really like it, mine was a strawberry or raspberry ripple look alike and tasted like dishwasher liquid and I just ended up putting it in the bin outside. I then went to Tesco’s and got some trifle and Belgian chocolate fingers and took home to get rid of the taste in my mouth. The only pleasant thing in that experience was that the young girl serving was pleasant. I went to look at the reviews in the morning and came across several poor reviews and just barely more positive ones, but those could be written by friends and family. We will not be going back. As my wife said they need Gordon Ramsey.to go there and sort it out or it will not last long.

We had wanted to pop in and taste the ice cream for a long time but never found the time. Today we did park up (for free) and popped along to get an ice cream but the shop was closed for refurbishment. We were so dissapointed that the owner must have seen our faces and opened the shop to tell us we could come in and have an ice cream on the house!. We were so surprised and happy all at once. The ice cream was Amazing. Really amazing. So much so we are definitely going back tomorrow to ry some of the other goodies they have. A rare gem of an ice cream parlour and highly recommended both for the taste and the customer service which was incredible. If you have not been yet - go there tomorrow - you will be thanking yourself!

Absolutely amazing staff, the owner was extremely friendly and the desserts were to DIE FORRR. The American waffle is my favourite and just melts in your mouth. The brownies looked yummy too. Well done keep it up!

Very disappointed we ordered biscoff waffles and when they came we’re not fresh barely any chocolate no cream at all mostly plan waffles for the money this was not good.Would not return or recommend

Too young ladies working behind the counter need an older person to support them. Took an age to take my takeaway orders for 4. When we got home the churrios were plain no sugar or cinnamon. The waffles didn't have any ice cream. Overall very disappointed with the experience.

I visited with my wife and son on impulse as we walked past on a Saturday lunch time. There were two other diners both sitting outside. My wife ordered a pancake with lemon and sugar and my son a small ice cream pot and soft drink. The pancake came in a takeaway container although we were asked if we were eating in or taking away. The pancake looked as if it had been dropped in the container with very little care. It came with a wooden fork and mismatched plastic fork. There was a small amount of sugar and the lemon couldn’t be tasted. My wife had a couple of mouthfuls and the pancake then left it. I took it back to the counter, pointed out the poor standard of food for the price (£7.25) and asked for a refund. The young lad said he didn’t know how to do refunds and went off to get a colleague. After 4 or 5 minutes a young lady appeared and said they couldn’t do refunds. I insisted on a refund so she said she’d call her boss. A phone call took place in the back area and upon returning to the counter while still on the phone told me I couldn’t have a refund. I insisted on a refund so the young lady passed me her mobile phone and asked that I speak up the owner. I spoke with a lady who asked if I’d eaten the pancake and proceeded to argue that there was nothing wrong with the pancake despite not being there. I asked if she was going to refund me to which she replied no and you can get out of my shop and wait outside for me to arrive! I gave it up as a bad experience (the worst I’ve had in any food establishment) and left. Safe to say I won’t be going back, the restaurant portrays a premium image but in my experience doesn’t live up to it.

Ordered desserts through Deliveroo arrived earlier than expected, the waffles are amazingly delicious and the ice cream is the best I’ve ever tasted. Very tasty milkshakes also!

After trying 2 of the high street dessert bars without success in Colchester we found this place online to take our children to as a treat. We arrive about 12.30 on a Sunday and it was empty so no queue which was great. I ordered my children two crepes one with strawberries and Nutella and the other was a rainbow crepe with smarties and sprinkles. The first to arrive was the strawberries and Nutella, after he’d eaten half my daughters one arrived. Their crepes were quite thick and stodgy…although covered in chocolate sauce so the kids didn’t mind. 15 minutes passed and we asked where our final order was of molten chocolate cake only to find the 2 young ladies on their phone out the back. Our dessert was served in a silver take away foil dish on a plate with a separate tub of ice cream squeezed on the plate, unfortunately presentation was poor. Our children by this time had finished. The chocolate cake was burnt on the bottom and it was dry where it was over cooked. We sent it back and got 2 chocolate dipped strawberries as a replacement. We asked for a refund in the end. Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

My boyfriend has a peanut allergy and ordered the ferrero roche milkshake as it claimed to have hazelnuts and no peanuts in the ingredients. After 1 sip he had an allergic reaction as there were clearly peanuts in the shake. I rang up to ask if there was a chance there was cross contamination or just mysterious peanuts added!! The woman on the phone was very defensive and rude, and called us stupid for ordering the shake even though it didn’t mention having peanuts in so it was not a fault of ours. Very disappointed with the lack of information regarding not cleaning blenders properly, and the rudeness on the phone

Really tasty !!! Food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. The young man on the phone (Jack) was polite and helpful talking me through the menu and recommending the white chocolate cookie dough which was absolutely scrumptious. I will definitely be ordering again soon.

Ordered vegan chocolate fudge cake… ended up with an alternative that got binned. Waited a few months, ordered again. This time lemon vegan cake. Same horrible alternative dumped in a bag and delivered with a ‘sorry’ note. Again, went in bin. Can’t eat it due too being too sugary and I am diabetic. IF YOU DON’T HAVE WHAT IS ORDERED, A COURTESY PHONE CALL TO LET US KNOW IS MORE APPRECIATED THAN US PAYING TO BIN FOOD WE DIDN’T ORDER !!!.
