Esquires Coffee in Epping Forest

My second visit to this coffee shop and it was identical to the 1st, my friend wanted to go it. It’s grubby, coffee weak and I couldn’t believe that for the 2nd time they closed the area I was sitting in around us to prevent others contained in the front, take about rushing you as they needed to clear up!

Coffee was tasteless, despite asking for the drink to be made again it came out the same. toilets were a filth hole and it is over priced and dirty. I have been a frequent visitor for the many years this place has been open but today’s visit was my last.

Esquires Bradford. Two out of three staff members not wearing masks. Despite the fact that I was the only person waiting, they still managed to get my order wrong. Didn't seem to know how to use the till and generally poor service.

Visited here whilst passing by on way to holiday further North and stopped for late breakfast/early brunch. Good to see COVID system in place however whilst service was prompt and polite with food arriving quickly and hot. We opted for two poached eggs on wholemeal bloomer toast, a tuna ciabatta, water and black coffee. The level of cleanliness and staff attention was clearly lacking. We had to move from our first table as this had not been cleaned and as there was only a few tables occupied, could not understand why this was given the number of staff on view who were working (or not as the case may be!). Upon the food arriving, we had to ask for serviettes and sauces as none were provided/offered. The food was adequate but overpriced. Not an overall enjoyable experience and given the current legislation, keeping the food areas clean and tidy should be of a paramount importance.

I went to the coffe shop. The cafe was not busy. The girl behind the cafe were chatting on there phones leaving tables with dirty cups. We never had our table cleaned and never saw them clean on table whilst we were there. With corona virus come on get a grip . Clean up your act disgusting

The quality of the service has slipped back from whence it came. Lately, there has been an improvement but regrettably, something has once gone awry. The coffee was just about acceptable, although it could have been hotter, but the time it took to be served was far too long. The table was sticky and there was litter strewn on the floor.

Things are improving at Esquires. The coffee was hot, full-flavoured and the chocolate cake very fresh and moist. The tables were clean and tidy and the staff made an effort and looked cheerful.

Look I will be well honest i have been here numerous of time and never had a problem with the staff or any foods when buying anything . However it cost be nearly £10.00 for a jacket potato and a small chocolate milkshakes which is a bit of rip off and seems a bit overpriced . They have charged me this amount whenever I come in. And the jacket potato was very little and mini it wasn’t a normal size at all the chocolate milkshakes should really cost be approximately £1.89 rather than an extra £4.95 has I have seen this in other cafes. And it really noisy in there when I come in at around 12:30pm. Overall I would recommend this cafe to anyone near harlow and I will definitely be returning but I just want these improvement to be done in future reference. next time I come in. I just don’t want to pay more than I need to do.

I popped in for a small coffee while in the area and I wanted more than the standard chains. I decided to try Esquires. The shop was moderately busy, however there seemed to be no one clearing tables. On getting my coffee I struggled to find a clear table without taking spend cups to the side. The floor was covered in scraps of food and it seemed someone had spilled a soft drink on the floor and it hadn’t been cleaned making the floor sticky. The coffee was lovely, much better than on previous visits, however the state of the sitting area made me wish I had got it to go.

A big improvement from my last visit. The coffee was very well flavoured, unlike last time, and the friendliness of the staff was good. The tables were clean and tidy and they cleared up almost immediately after the customer had left.

The welcome was friendly and the coffee served in good time, but it didn't have the fullness of flavour that I receive from Costa's. The table was clean but the floor was littered with bits of food and other rubbish. The panini was hot and tasted ok.

This place has some great views, and the outer walls are all glass, so this is the perfect place for a sunny day. They have outside seating too. They offer a fantastic range of flavours (both for coffee and milkshakes, as well as green tea's and so on). The staff are super friendly, and they serve all day brunch. What more can you ask for?

All round customer service poor! Seems like staff can’t wait to get you to leave in the evening! Costa in next opposite is open mid week till 6.30 welcoming! Staff lovely and friendly always a nice place to be! And toilets have always been looked after clean and tidy, Costa “next”every time now

Lovely coffee, lovely staff but have had to stop visiting as it’s impossible to sit anywhere out of the blazing sun. They desperately need to have blinds fitted. Won’t be seeing me again unless I can sit in comfort without being blinded.

To give them another chance I ventured in there for a cup of hot chocolate. It was far too sweet for my taste and most definitely not a patch on the Costas delight. The latte my partner had was 50% froth. The table had the residue of spilt drinks that had not been cleaned. From only average, it now rates as poor. The service is still ok.

We were in Harlow and I was looking for Breakfast. Came across Esquires while walking near the water feature. Lovely little place. Really relaxing setup, the decor was and colours inside just gave it a very nice feel. A perfect place where you can have a coffee, breakfast and read a paper. Food was delicious. Egg royale. Staff really friendly and a good menu to choose from.. Very spacious inside which would be a perfect place for anyone with buggies or a wheelchair. Esquires has recently upped its game with a more interesting and varied range of food on offer, and now open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings serving Tapas, as well as a range of wines and beers. Well worth a visit for lunch.
