It's January, it's freezing outside but come inside Costa it's even colder!!!! Would you believe they have still git the air conditioning on!!!!!!!!!!!

Not quite up to the normal high Costa standards as both a cortado and flat white fell somewhat short of what I'd expect. Both were a tad too cold and the milk wasn't foamed to perfection. The real let down was the loo - it needed a darned good clean!

The store is filthy,no one clearing the floor after children eating for over 1 hour even though the staff were told!!! Disgraceful

This is one of the nicest Costa's I've been in. Nice atmosphere and decor. We had a flat white, a latte and a teacake. Good friendly service.

Popped here to try the summer drinks menu on a hot Saturday. Orders were taken relatively quickly, but the service slower than expected. This was down to the barrista throwing my order slip away and skipping to the customer after me. It was understandable as who would have expected 2 ruby chocolate drinks in a row. Many apologies and I got my order and enjoyed it even more due to the wait.

I’m not a Costa type of person but while visiting friend in diss we decided to pop in. It was extremely busy but the queue was going down quick! We were served on the till by a lovely welsh lady who recommended the lemon tart and muffin which was delicious!! Our coffees were made by a lovely young man with long hair and he and the welsh lady had a good rapport between them. After we had sat down the welsh lady was clearing and cleaning tables and boy can she move!!! Even though she was really busy she took the time to check that our purchases were ok and that we were happy and if we needed anything just ask! I’ve been in other Costa before but the Staff in this branch are so lovely and helpful and I’ll definitely be visiting again! Can’t speak highly enough of the amazing welsh lady!!

Avoid this place at the moment, the hot water boiler has been broken for almost 2 weeks so no hot water for tea or Americano coffee's, 2 out of 3 toilets are locked out of use and the sandwich fridge has now broken down as well. I really feel for the lovely staff who are completely embarrassed by the current situation and the complete lack of investment being made.

Flat white is passable, not as strong as I would like. Staff are pleasant if a little slow, seems to be loads of staff milling around but long line of people waiting for their drinks. This branch is in desperate need of a makeover, as soon as you walk in the unpleasant smell hits you, the floors and tables are sticky and it's not somewhere I would want to linger very long for. This town is crying out for a decent coffee shop!!

By far one of the best Costa's i visit, and i visit a lot of them. Great staff and always a positive vibe.

This morning i went to Costa with a few of my friends where we were greeted by rude staff who didn't appear happy to be there. For a start, the lady on the till was blunt and got the orders wrong, which lead to us receiving the wrong drinks, and the staff blamed us loudly that it was our fault! We felt they were pressuring us not to be there which led in us leaving with the wrong drinks of which we didn't pay for. I am very disappointing as i used to love this cafe in our small town, however i will NOT be returning any time soon.

Myself and two friends decided to pop in for a quick take away coffee from the new Christmas menu, of which we were all looking forward to. When we arrived, not all the drink choices were displayed on the menu, so it was difficult to tell if they actually had the one we were hoping for. As we ordered, we were rushed through our order, putting us under great pressure to choose a drink. whilst waiting for our drinks we were rushed to the other end of the counter, where we were stared up and down by people and received comments on our chosen drinks! To begin with, they got our order wrong and gave out the wrong coffee, however i decided not to say anything and keep the coffee. when my friend asked for her drink they swore at each other as it was apparently a lot of hassle to make a cold drink instead of a hot one! Once we had all FINALLY received our drinks, they went to hand us another, to which we declined and said we had all of ours, where they responded with "your loss if you have the wrong drink" and slammed it on the counter. I understand that the place was suddenly busy, but the service we received in a short period of time was disgusting. As for the coffee, it was bland and didn't even taste of coffee as it was too over done with sugar and the amount of cream on top made it cold. I will not be purchasing my coffee from here for a while!

Recently quality going down way presentation and making product Having waited for period busy shop watching no table cleaned and refreshed When served coffee had to ask for napkins which I had to queue again for I understand they were busy but will not use again in diss if service you pay for is as poor made drink I purchased this drink several other costa and have been happy as consistent quality and service Not same as diss poor service

The most difficult drink to get right is a straight black Americano. Why? Because this drink has nothing else added and therefore nothing to hide the essence of the coffee. Well, today the lady Barista got it wrong. She over-filled the cup with water and left insufficient room for the coffee. Consequently, she tipped some coffee away and gave us a cup of hot water with a miserable amount of coffee added. When I told her what she had done wrong, she made me another without comment or apology. Staff here need better training and/or better attitude.

Visited here as part of our wander around Diss. Costa fits seamlessly into the gentle pace of this delightful little town, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The coffee here today was exceptionally good, and the ambience encouraged a leisurely break. Very enjoyable, strongly recommended.

Last time we dropped in, our jaws did likewise! The coffee (was it really coffee?) was insipid, tasted like warm milk that had been shown a jar of instant. We also made the mistake of ordering a cinnamon croissant that had as much flavour as the table top, but was marginally softer. The arm chairs we sat in, no I meant sank in, were so low I was reminded of what it was like to be child with my chin resting on the table. I did take something away from this pricey mistake, the determination to never make the same mistake again.

The staff here are very friendly and have successfully achieved a very pleasant atmosphere. Beware though the loos are extremely dirty - you have been warned! Very nice coffee and the cakes are lovely except for the vegan options which are very dry.

Pretty standard Costa Coffee, friendly staff and okay coffee. Unfortunately (can’t understand why when in most independent cafes they are) dogs aren’t allowed in so we had to sit outside with our little pup, and on a Sunday not much else is open in Diss. And what a mess, Cigarette butts and sugar wrappers all over floor. They need to brush up regularly or perhaps easier put some ashtrays out so those smoking have somewhere to put their butts.

My wife loves Costa, never want's/wont go anywhere else. Me not so sure, not sure of what the attraction is, expensive, always a queue, yes coffee is ok but I don't think it's anymore than that.

I chose Costa coffee in Diss to host a BMM as its central to Diss and buggy friendly. When I approached the counter and explained I had a few mothers with babies coming I was directed to the sofas. Katherine looked after us and when asked if we could have a jug of water, she politely replied they didn't have a jug but could bring over glasses of water which she did. Costa also supplied a bag of free treats which was a lovely touch. They brought over our hot drinks when ordered and were polite when we left, saying they would put away the high chair and clear up the crumbs that my little one had left on the floor. It was a relaxed meet and I will be planning another one there soon.

Yes it's your standard Costa coffee, but it's always tidy and the staff make this place. Always friendly and take the time to converse.

As the above suggest overpriced for what is average coffee what more can you say will not be returning

if you can get a parking space somewhere near the Diss market square then go no further to eat than the Cafe Culture, whatever your taste they will meet your specific requirements.

Arrived just after High School teens. A hot day and everyone wanting iced drinks of some description. Now I don't frequent Costa very often. Not because I'm adverse to chains, but I like to support local businesses usually. But; coming into the town at this time of afternoon meant that some local coffee establishments were shutting up shop. Unfazed, slightly, we (daughter and I) ordered peach iced tea (a first for me), a mint chocolate 'milkshake thing' (!) and cakes. Granola 'flapjack' and a raspberry and white chocolate muffin. I have to admit: VERY NICE. so thank you to the hardworking, extremely busy Barista and her colleagues.

Been here a few times, the service is friendly and the coffee is nice, but even if there is only a couple of people queuing the time it takes to get your coffee/food is pretty lengthy. I think they should utilise their staff a bit better. Likewise it is often difficult to find a table that hasnt got dirty plates on. As some one else has mentioned there is too many mothers that treat it like a creche and too many people also who will sit over a coffee for an hour or so just to use the wifi. None of this of course is through any fault of Costa.

Went to costa a couple of times over the weekend when in Diss. Always good coffee, and two very friendly lads behind the counter. Ideal!

I’ve always enjoyed Costa but I do feel mothers think they are a crèche facility. I really don’t want to have children running around while I’m trying to drink my coffee.

It's Costa so you know what you're going to get but it's the staff at Diss Costa that make the difference. Friendly and efficient even when the shop is really busy. Well done team Costa Diss.

I love the coffee in Costa. It is served just as I like it. Not too strong but lovely and frothy. The staff are always very friendly. It does get very busy sometimes but you can always find a table.

Generally clean and comfortable coffee stop, with friendly staff. Only complaint is the time it takes to get served, with the modern coffee machines taking ages (and a lot of noise) to produce results! What ever happened to a plain old black coffee instantly made?!

Usual Costa prices, slow service, dirty tables. There are many other independent coffee shops in Diss that are more worthy of your custom.

I just love the coffee in Costas. They make mine with one shot but I do like my cappuccino frothy which it always is. The staff are so friendly.

As a fairly frequent visitor to Costa Coffees in and around Norwich and outskirts, the Diss Costa comes as a surprise. The tables outside are not clean with dirty cups, food wrapping (remains of uneaten chips) etc. Inside the furniture covers are stained, tables sticky. This is most unusual for the chain. The coffee is lovely as always and staff pleasant, so why so little attention to cleanliness?

Que visite costa casi a diario porque el café es delishious y el personal es amable y te estás bebidas tal y como te gusta. Una enorme variedad de cafés y el ambiente es siempre lleno. A veces temprano por la mañana es un poco lento, pero una taza de café es precioso la pena la espera. Un auténtico placer utilizar esta cafetería con un personal servicial que comprenda café y siempre dispuesto a asesorar sobre cualquier nueva mezcla.

Me encanta el café en Costa. Está hecho de la manera que me gusta. No demasiado fuerte, muy espumoso y caliente. El personal es muy educado y amable. Usualmente hay periódicos para leer. Está muy ocupado en un viernes por día de mercado.

Gran café, como cabe esperar de costa. Cómodo y agradable entorno. Muy ordenado y limpio. Inodoros estaban limpios, así que es algo que a veces pueden decirle a costa. Personal amable.

I popped in for coffee before 9am a couple of weeks ago and there was only one member of staff (that I could see) and a large queue of customers. The barista took the orders and did not get at all flustered, some of the customers were grumbling that they were having to wait to be served. After I sat down with my coffee and bacon roll, another member of staff appeared from the office and walked past tables that had used cups and plates on them and left the store. When he returned, he again walked past all the messy tables without clearing them. Just after 9am another member of staff arrived, also walked straight past all the trays without clearing them. She then proceeded to talk about her night out while the first member of staff carried on taking orders and making the drinks without help. I left the store after being there an hour and walked past all the tables which had still not been cleared! I work in a café and can appreciate that at busy times clearing tables sometimes get overlooked, but it was relatively quiet and with three members of staff there, no-one seemed bothered about it. It doesn't give Costa a good impression.

This is a busy venue. The service is reasonable and the coffee of course is very acceptable. The premises are kept nice and clean.

I like costa coffee and the thing about this one is a returning customer is a remembered customer. The staff in this Costa are very friendly, happy to serve and usually remember what you order. It can be busy at times so be patient as the staff have a lot on their hands. At times only 4 are serving and cleaning so I am sure some people won't cope waiting additional time. The wifi when I've attempted to use it when in on my own is so slow it's unusable."This is a local shop for local people, we'll have no trouble here" - you'll know it if you've seen it!

Like this Costa. Staff very friendly, always able to help. They are not perfect but neither are we as customers - the refit in the last couple of years was worth it. They are open at times when others aren't so who can complain, they soldier on when I would not want to work those times. Keep up the good work.

Spacious, and clean compared to other ones I've visited. I would recommend the white chocolate muffin, very nice, and I'm not usually keen on muffins

For extra 20p could have special blend coffee,well worth the money ! Staff friendly and quick service.Toilets not very clean, floor very wet with ?Water.could not see if regularly checked?

Great ambience here and in my opinion, the best coffee in town. However today it was very busy and took ages to get my coffee. One person was being trained at a very busy time. Coffee was great as usual.A great coffee and hot drinks range and lovely snacks available.

We visit this establishment quite often. Recently standards have dropped. The tables were not cleared (and it was not particularly busy at the time of our visit) and the tables had not been cleaned. At least other customer cleared a table herself and took to the staff area door. No-one took the hint and the tables remained uncleared. On our last visit we again had to clear a table ourselves and ask for it to be cleaned. Poor, very poor. Coffee itself was good and muffin and cakes first class.

Like to sit in very warm good service and you have free wifi which is very handy when your on your own but all costas are a bit expensive

Had a lovely Salted Caramel Muffin with cappuccinos which was excellent. Nice size too so not all cramped up with people on top of you.

Good staff who remember you and always friendly to you. Comfy seating and large windows to people watch through.

If you are happy to pay £5 for a sandwich made in a factory with cheap ingredients and line the pockets of this major chain then this is the place for you. £5 for a dry cake and weak tasteless coffee. No service, no ambience, no personality. Just overpriced factory made rubbish.

Love this place since it opened cakes are gorgeous and hot drinks are Wonderfull dnt like the change of staff to much . Most of them are really good and helpful but there is one who is always do miserable and has got no customer service at all

I love the coffee here. Lovely frothy cappuccino. Just right. Lots of comfy chairs and settees and papers to read if you are lucky. They do gave good snacks too such as toasted panini is and lovely cakes.

Nice large premises in a busy market town. As ever with Costa you get what you pay for and the eats are usually more expensive than they should be. I like black coffee--it is usually good

I don't like the mainstream chains. Seems very expensive for what it is! Minimal atmosphere. I much prefer Mere Moments across the road!

Most Costa coffees only rate an 'Average' from me, But what sets this one out for me is the friendliness of the staff. It was noticeable not just in the way I was served, but the way in which other customers were served. This is franchise Costa and I wonder if that's the reason for it. Colleagues who I met later in the day, regularly use this Costa for their team meetings and speak highly of it.

I have been here a few times.There is the usual standing wait to be served and then to get a drink, but the surroundings are relaxed.The staff seem more helpful and interested than in other Costa shops.The coffee is the same. This consistency is probably why people choose to go to this chain of coffee houses rather than trying some of the more interesting local cafes. Whilst it is in Mere Street it is the other side of the road and does not have a view of the Mere.

The staff are always really friendly in this Costa and the coffee is superb. If they are busy they will ask you to sit down and bring the coffee over. Papers available. They also raise money for charity which I think is an excellent idea.

A friendly, if frenetic local branch of this national chain. The coffee is good, they have soya milk and comfy chairs. Made that bit nicer by clean toilets and a few toys for kids to play with. Seems to be generally accepted as a place where you can breastfeed in peace and quiet, or take a crying baby without anyone giving you the stink-eye.

We go here regularly after my husband has finished work on our building project to relax a bit and read the paper, Sometime I see someone I know to speak to and it is comfortable to sit in with a coffee.We like the coffee and the staff are friendly and will bring your order over to avoid the wait at the till if possible but sometimes they suffer staff shortage which is not their fault

My husband and I regularly go in here to chill out. The staff, under Timothy's management, are very friendly and helpful bringing your order to your table for you if requested. A nice spacious environment, even with a box of toys for accompanied children to play with. They do a lot for the community hosting events for various groups and do a lot for their own charity too.

Costa coffee is without doubt a good product and there is clearly an art to being a good barista but on my 2 visits to this outlet I've noticed how slowly staff seem to work and in consequence a queue forms very quickly for service.I do regret that food on offer seems to be generally unappetising and much of it very sugar laden, so not for the first time moved on for a light luch elsewhere.

Our party had 3 enjoyable flat whites but would have liked to have had something to eat but we all felt the food on offer was generally high in sugar and far from good value for money so despite having a costa e-gift moved on and ate elsewhere.
