so started with garlic mushrooms, must stress home made not frozen out of a bag a refreshing change a really nice crispy shell cooked to perfection, then came the main course 1 steak and ale pie and a moussaka the pie was full of meat and not a bit of gristle in sight, served with a perfect selection of veg. for me i tried the lamb moussaka again was very nice served with a Greek salad and chopped veg. feeling full we shared a lemon cheesecake OMG how big a peace served with a true quality vanilla ice cream we struggled to finish but was so nice. would we go back defiantly yes, and booked for an Xmas lunch. with two alcoholic drinks £29.00 each very reasonable price for the quality of the food and portions Best pub food for a long time. thank you and will see you soon.

Hadn’t been here since the ownership had changed so we’re a bit wary. However the new owner’s obviously know what they are doing. I had the fish pie which was good ( a few prawns might have added to it though) and my husband had the haddock which was cooked to perfection. The lady behind the bar was lovely and we would certainly be happy to return. Roger Roper would be proud!

Fantastic Norfolk Pub After visiting Wroxham we decided to grab a bite to eat on the way home. The food was divine. All fresh ingredients. The children loved their food brilliant portions for the children. Dessert was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted, lemon and orange 😋 The waitress and owner (I assume) were so welcoming and friendly also the chef came out to say hello. Such a lovely atmosphere. I'd say one of the best pubs I've been too for food and atmosphere. Family friendly. Definitely would be visiting again when we are next in Norfolk. We were talking all the way home about how good the food was. As my son says " the food was the best part of my day"

I was not sure what to expect from The Dove, as a pub just outside the village. I am really pleased to say that our experience was great, whilst the pub is a traditional old pub which seems quite small, we were taken to the restaurant out the back. The restaurant is of a conservatory style and did feel a little dated (as new owners, they are going through a series of updates) The food was fab, we had Butter chicken and Butter Paneer with naan and rice which was simple and really tasty. Although traditional pub food is also available. This we followed with Gulab Jamon, an Indian doughnut ball in syrup with ice-cream, which was amazing. Then we took part in a Bollywood dance class, so much fun. Well done to the Dove, we look forward to seeing it transform following the works.

Absolutely amazingly authentic Indian cuisine! Special curry menu on a Monday. Owner took time to explain the menu, and couldn't have been more attentive during the meal. Haven't had a curry that good in years. Had their normal menu as well, and one member of our party had the seafood buffet. Really fresh fish... Couldn't recommend this place enough. Not as good as it use to be with Roger owning it. Food below average. Salad was a couple of leaves. 1/4 of a tomoto and 1 slice of cucumber....really!? Lasagne tasteless. Garlic bread really thick with minimal butter and garlic. Chips were frozen oven ones? Why? Left them. However, the sticky toffee pudding was magnificent which earnt the 2 stars. Otherwise it would of been 1 star. Decor the same as before. Really cannot see what has been done since ownership change. Toilet needs a damn good 2nd coat of paint and the toilet roll holder needs the paper in it, not a huge roll on the window sill. I will not be returning. The Young lady behind bar was very bonny and efficient considering there was no heating on and a pathetic fire light.

It was a family birthday so 18 of us had booked a table and for carvery. We ordered drinks at the bar on our way through to the conservatory. The carvery was very very good, hot, a lovely traditional carvery with all the trimmings, got cleared our plates and ordered deserts, carvery man was very happy. This was the point it went down hill we had to wait 30 mins for desert once ordered and all three tables got them separately. However the staff are so friendly and bubbly. Such a lovely, warm and welcoming pub just please make sure it carries through. I would highly recommend this lovely pub.

Honest pub, how it should be. Carvery was ok, not amazing but not bad. Worth the money but the only issue is that the tables are very tightly crammed together so the comfort is compromised for covers, although the back room was not set and empty? Price reasonable for honest food. The boys serving were very polite and professional.

5 star food hygiene rating, but 2 star score for experience from me sadly. Its a small, dated looking, isolated pub, the conservatory/marquee extension at the back isn't appealing to sit in. Shabby sheets safety pinned up for drapes isn't great looking. Carvery is rudimentary, nice veg, chewy meats . It looks like the place is struggling. OK for drink n chips if desperate. I ordered a meal off the menu, when it arrived it wasn't what I thought and not a lot of it. The waitress agreed and sorted out another piece of veg for me. I did query again what I thought I ordered and I was told no, it wasn't on the menu. When we went to pay, I looked at the menu and saw it was on the menu. When I queried it, I was told it was the wrong menu, even though that's what we were given. We were shown what menu we should of have and thats what i had, even though it was still different to what I was given. The chef apologised, but what got me was the fact the waitress made me feel it was my fault and that I should have said something......I did!!

Have been wanting to pop in here for some while for a meal, so when the opportunity arose for a family lunch we decided now was the time. Sadly though our Sunday roast lunch turned out to be a disappointment. There were six of us in total and we all chose roast pork. Although we could have made other choices. It appeared that all the food apart from the pork, had come out of the freezer. I returned my plate of food as all but the pork and a sausage were cold. This was replaced when I complained and was replaced by another serving of same. This time though piping hot, but still of the same ilk as before. The rest of my family decided not to return their plateful as they were hungry but agreed that it was not the best Sunday lunch my any means. The desserts though were excellent, and the price of the meal could not be sneezes at. Will we return, I rather think not!

Stopped here for a family Sunday carvery, finding the right place for this with 2 small children can be a challenge, but yes, worked out well, sat out in the garden with a variety of chickens and peacocks running around to the delight of the kids along with a couple of swings to play on while they waited (albeit swings that had seen better days with rust)The meat was good, the veg had nicely contained flavour that felt locally sourced. Potatoes were crisp and fluffy. Staff were courteous and accommodating to our needs. Felt like an old fashioned kind of local pub. Wouldn't quite give it full marks as there are other places that deliver outstanding carveries, but this certainly didn't disappoint either.

I’ve read some reviews of barnham broom. I can’t believe anyone would give it a 5 star rating. Stayed there two nites with friends, We ate at the brasserie on the first day, three starters were sent back and because they were so bad(dried and rubbery) we ordered crab cakes instead, Two had pieces of shell to them. As of mains. Duck cooked ok but orange sauce brown tasteless sludge. Vegetables over cooked. Hashed potatoes square stodgy block. The main that was of reasonable taste was the canalone. Did’nt bother with pudding as you might of guessed. Wine overpriced(39.95 for an ordinary Prosecco). As for the sports bar. It was so bad I haven’t time to write everything. Service was terrible.orders wrong. Food out at different times.Worst was none tasted halfway decent. I found it difficult to give the place one star. I will go back to play golf as both courses good, especially the valley course but will eat and drink somewhere else.shame as setting and views lovely. .

Cosy village pub just outside of Norwich. We had a Sunday roast and it was delicious. Although the apple crumble we got just after was bit of a disappointment. The waiters were overall really nice but the cashier was quite rude and acted like he saw an alien when we wanted to split the bill at the end. I am guessing it’s not a common practice! Overall would definitely visit again as it was a lovely atmosphere and good food.
