Second time I’d been and have to say breakfast here is fantastic. Very good selection of food(s), drinks (hot and cold) and a brunch and dinner menu. Went for a full English (highly recommended) and a pot of tea both times. Nicely priced. Very good ambience with smooth chill out music. Fantastic service as well.

This was my first visit, what a great local find ...... good choices on the menu and excellent value for money nice polite staff and the food was absolutely lovely .. if your in the area give it a try ..they do take away too check the opening times as the day we visited they closed at 1400 hrs will definitely return to sample more off the menu .

Called in for some lunch after work on Saturday. Friendly staff and nice varied menu instead of your generic chain pub choices. Warm and cosy atmosphere with 2 coal fires. The food was lovely with very generous portions, BEST we have had for some time, could not fault it. Will definitely be returning. Thank you

Many bottled real ales, mainly from within 50 miles radius of Ashby. Soft drinks for nominated sensible adults or under-age tipplers ! GF & Vegan drinks selection for the intolerant . Dog friendly too. A family run business, there's always a warm welcome from highly knowledgeable owners Laura, John & Connor . Street Food Pop-Ups every Saturday. Live acoustic music every Sunday. Quick lunch after work on Saturday. I ordered the 3 bean chilli and it was so good. Served in a taco shell with rice and a side salad. Tasty, healthy and very filling. Always great service & friendly staff. Highly recommend this lovely cafe.

Had a nice English breakfast with a piece of cake and a drink. Food was good and enjoyed it. I think it was well priced. Was quiet but was a Friday about midday. Nice atmosphere and soft back ground music. Clean, friendly staff, good service. Well pleased with the place

Update May 2025: breakfast with my son on the day of the soap box derby. Super breakfast. One of the best cafes in Ashby. And a proper vegan breakfast. You never fail to disappoint, and you never fail to take anything for granted! Keep it up. This is one of the best cafes in Ashby. It is unbeatable on a warm sunny day to sit in the courtyard. Food is great - plenty of vegan options. Great coffee.

An unlikely location, but definitely worth a very short detour off the M42 for tasty food & coffee in this pleasant café. Beats Donington Park and Tamworth Services hands down! Spotlessly clean toilet too.

Great food, coffee and service.

We stayed 4 nights in a very comfortable room with parking outside and very good disabled facilities. All the staff were superb, they couldn't have been more helpful. The food alone is well worth a visit!

Great beer garden, Mel behind the bar is very helpful and friendly.

I've been attending the biker breakfast regularly since it started. You are assured a warm welcome, friendly banter, and usually plenty of interesting bikes and cars turn up, especially on classic meets. The cakes are lovely, and you can't beat a bacon roll and coffee (in a mug!) for a fiver! Highly recommended.

I come here every Tuesday night the food service atmosphere is so brilliant they are so welcoming very friendly people food just melts in your mouth this is not like the other road side cafe this place is so beautiful very highly recommended so come down to the road side cafe Kegworth and trust me you won’t regret it

Brilliant little pub. Great beer, no music or TVs so great for conversation. Dog friendly and the staff are great. Does appeal to a slighter older clientele on the whole.
