I've been attending the biker breakfast regularly since it started. You are assured a warm welcome, friendly banter, and usually plenty of interesting bikes and cars turn up, especially on classic meets. The cakes are lovely, and you can't beat a bacon roll and coffee (in a mug!) for a fiver! Highly recommended.

Highly recommended for breakfast got to be the best place in and around Swadlincote and Measham by far. I've been several times and enjoyed it every time. The staff are very friendly, helpful and very welcoming too. The breakfast is cooked how you want it and you can add extras or take things off your breakfast. The drinks are made just right too Thank you for an excellent service and breakfast I will be coming again soon.

We went in for morning refreshments intending to come back later for lunch. We had tea and a generous slice of Victoria Sponge which was one of the few bakery items available. We returned at 2:30 p.m. only to find that the cafe was closing. A good cafe provided you're aware of the limited menu and early closing in the afternoon.

I called here last Friday for breakfast and so glad I did. It’s not that easy to find as it is sharp right after the traffic lights on the road from Measham to Donisthorpe. Easy parking and a nice rural setting overlooking the lake It’s a newly built purpose designed place. Great welcome from the lovely staff and a well priced menu. I went for the full English with tea which cost £7.50 I have to say the food was cooked to perfection and the quality of the sausages and bacon was great. The toast was thick and the tea nice and strong with enough for three cups. It was the best cooked breakfast I have had in a long while and can’t wait to go back

We had a lovely surprise when we drove down the drive, it was a really lovely and peaceful setting. We sat outside with our lunch which was lovely and watched the antics of the ducks playing in the pond. We would like to say thank you for a very enjoyable experience and will be back with our family. The staff were very friendly and the lunch was very good.

Love this local lakeside cafe, great menu and superb service all with a great view. Dog friendly for patrons and no problem sitting outside as there’s plenty of cover. Dog owners can also use the enclosed field providing your using the cafe.

We ordered the large breakfast which whilst £1 more than the standard was double the amount. We waited whilst it was cooked fresh and it was well worth the wait. Absolutely lovely and service with a smile throughout. Its clearly well loved by the locals and cyclists and walkers

Called in for breakfast. Good menu. We ordered large bacon and egg baps. Sat outside by the lake. Everywhere very clean and staff friendly. When they bought out the baps wished we'd ordered smaller ones! Delicious, tasty bacon and egg. Will return when visiting that way again.

This is a favourite for a sunny day. A walk through the wood and finish with refreshments at the cafe. Last week the chocolate orange cake was absolutely scrumptious, moist cake with a gooey orange centre and chocolate icing. What's not to like.

Called in for a coffee. Wished we hadn't have had our breakfasts as would have liked to have tried the offering here, looked delicious. We sat outside by the pond with our excellent coffee's listening to the birds. What a fantastic place. They are encouraging wildlife in the surrounding woods and plenty of bird feeders are about to encourage a range of birds. Pity I live so far away but on my next visit to see family this is a definite stop off.

This quiet cafe overlooks a fishing lake and is almost surrounded by trees. You can sit outside and watch the birds at the feeders.

We had checked when this small, pond-side cafe near Measham High St closed (4pm, hot items until 2.45pm - summer hours).

We have eaten here twice now - I wanted to give them a second chance having waited for so long the first time. However, sadly, the service really is so slow, down to the fact that the staff would rather stand chatting to each other and friends as they come in, rather than serving or preparing food.

Great Sunday Lunch as always! The food is always delicious and the chocolate brownie always goes down a treat! The staff were rushed off their feet but all of them were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Nice place with plenty of parking and friendly staff. Just avoid at the school run time as the car park gets rammed with parents collecting the kids so access is limited

Really great experience. Friendly staff, well organised and well ran. Carvery was very good I had the beef my wife the steak pie which she said was amazing. The veg and gravy was really really good. My son had the burger and he enjoyed it. Lots of the food is supplied locally according to the website which is great. Really nice pub, even had an open fire, busy for a Tuesday lunchtime which was great to see.

After reading the reviews here we must have called on a nightmare day...ordered soup, it arrived lukewarm and spilling over dish. Asked for it to be reheated, came back slightly warmer but with very greasy croutons, completely inedible. First time I've ever felt the need to up sticks and leave a cafe without paying.
