We recently had family visiting us from abroad and decided to have dinner at The Donington Arms. The food menu is very varied and the specials board changes every day or every few days. The pub has a great selection of draft beers, ciders and ales, as well as spirits. Aspall cider and the Whitley Neil banana and guava gin were our personal favourites. Our guests particularly enjoyed the gammon and the draft beer. The chips were also homemade, which was impressive. Two of our guests are vegetarian and they appreciated the vegetarian section on the menu; they loved the mac & cheese and the pie. The portion sizes are very generous, the prices are reasonable and we always leave the pub feeling satisfied. You will always get value for money at The Donington Arms. Big shout out to our waitress Maisie who was friendly, attentive and helpful. I would definitely bring family or friends here again. Thank you!

The Sunday carvery is second to none and the staff are great and you have a good choice of beers and if you like gin then this pub/restaurant is for you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Came here for the steak night and it was fantastic, the steak was cooked perfectly and there biscoff sundae was to die for. My children played outside on the bouncy castle and we were all treated so well by the staff and fellow customers this place reminds me of how pubs used to be 30 years ago just an amazing atmosphere where everybody feels at home

The food at the Donington Arms is always fantastic. I have never had a bad meal down there. I can highly recommend the carvery on a Sunday, plenty of meat, help yourself vegetables and beautiful gravy. Always leave feeling satisfied and full.

Very sorry to write this but felt compelled after such a shocking experience. We waited 20 minutes to be served, over an hour for our food and when the food came 2 out of 4 orders were wrong. We got charged £50 for very mediocre food. A small jacket potatoe with no side salad was £7 with 1 filling, plus then an extra £2 for a very small amount of cheese as an extra filling ! a friend ordered a Turkey and cranberry roll which was essentially a basic white roll with some butter and 2 pieces of packet Turkey on it and a side of cranberry to spread on herself. I’ve been before to this cafe and had a lovely up of tea / cake. I recommended it to 3 friends today and was quite embarrassed by how bad it was. They said they were short staffed, but the food quality and pricing does not add up either.
