Second time I’d been and have to say breakfast here is fantastic. Very good selection of food(s), drinks (hot and cold) and a brunch and dinner menu. Went for a full English (highly recommended) and a pot of tea both times. Nicely priced. Very good ambience with smooth chill out music. Fantastic service as well.

We had the most fabulous afternoon tea at this cosy cafe in Kegworth. My colleagues had gluten free and vegetarian dietary requirements which were met and exceeded. The sandwiches were made of french bread, the sausage rolls were excellent, the home made cakes were outstanding and so tasty. There were full tummy's and happy smiling faces all round. A definite find and hidden gem. Worth visiting again!! Thank you to Martin and Cathy for their lovely food.

Dropping by after doing some family history research at the local church on a cold frosty day, we were very pleased to find this tiny but perfectly formed cafe, where we had delicious light lunches (spiced Moroccan soup + mini sandwich) and super cake (raspberry and lime curd); my partner had a gingerbread white hot chocolate which was just a work of art, with tiny gingerbread men biscuits swimming in the whipped cream like they were at a foam party! :)

Called in after a drop off at East Mids Airport. A small cafe with 6 tables. Breakfast menu was decent. Standard breakfast ordered and it came promptly. Food was good and portion size reasonable. Owner friendly and chatty. All in all a very good visit. If in the area again( maybe an airport pickup next week) would revisit.

Only stopped for a latte and flat white, but it's a nice place. Good service, nice breakfast and brunch options menu (although we didn't actually order food). Coffee was very nice indeed and worth a mention on its own. Bit pokey inside, wheelchairs, prams or larger groups might struggle. But, got the feeling the staff would gladly move furniture and do whatever they can to make room, so don't let this put you off in the slightest!

For a (lockdown) birthday treat we ordered an extra special afternoon tea and it certainly didn't disappoint! There was a variety of savoury foods, antipasti selection, mini baguettes including smoked salmon, brie and cranberry and homemade sausage rolls, this was followed by a selection of mini cakes and cream scones with a choice of tea. After looking forward to it throughout the day it really did make the birthday extra special! We've eaten at the cafe before lockdown and have also had a Friday night takeaway dinner which tasted wonderful! The staff are always friendly and happy to help with any special requests. The name say's it all...a real hidden gem!

I don’t write many reviews but had such a lovely take out meal on New Year’s Eve I feel compelled to write a review to support this business . 2020 has been such a tough year for all . This little cafe has not stopped I remember walking by during lockdown 1 and saw them preparing food boxes . Have since popped in for sandwiches, coffee (excellent by the way ) etc, This is the first take out meal I’ve had, it was so nice all home made . I would also add that we have tradesman in our house this year and they intended to get lunch from the butchers but was so busy went here instead and said they would definitely go back Please support this cafe it deserves it

Ate a light lunch here, very friendly people, very accommodating given that we had got stuck in traffic and were 30 minutes late for appointed time, very tasty food if not haute cuisine and well adapted to social distancing. Would happily eat there again.

Currently staying in the Kegworth area for work & have enjoyed two excellent take away meals from here recently. Had a wonderful lunch of a bacon, Brie and cranberry baguette & then an evening meal today of Molasses Chicken, salad and a red onion and goat’s cheese tart. We’re staying at a local hotel with a limited choice of food & found the hidden gem kitchen a wonderful place for a healthy (and very tasty) take away food option. Highly recommended. Thank you for the excellent food & service! ☺️

popped in for a delicious coffee whilst trying to find a takeaway pasta salad for my daughter prior to an interview. Lunch visit - friendly and high quality food. It's s great local eatery(only four out of five because of the closeness to cooking fumes (extraction?) and the puzzle about running out of the excellent soup before 1pm)

A lovely friendly cafe. Just about managed to squeeze 4 of us on a table for 2 as they were very busy. It took a while (45 minutes) to get served but the panini, toasted sandwich, omelette and cinnamon beef were delicious. Clearly a popular cafe as people were queueing to get a table. If cinnamon beef is on their specials board, we all recommend it.

We have called here a few times at varying times of the day and so have sampled breakfast, lunch, mid-morning coffee and afternoon tea and cake. All have been great and served up by friendly and helpful staff. As well as the standard menu there are tasty and well presented specials that certainly tempt the tastebuds. Another thing we love is that they offer take home meals which we thoroughly enjoy - tasty, nutritious and inexpensive. All in all a super little place.

We arrived in Kegworth in the early afternoon to find pretty much all eating places closed. We went in to Oliver's just after 2:30pm to be told that their hot service had ended, but we could get cold sandwiches etc with a hot drink. Kegworth is lucky to have such a coffee shop as Oliver's and the people of Kegworth and those that visit the village need to ensure they use and keep this asset for the future. Use it or lose it. It's a family run business that takes care to give you what you want.

Four of us stopped here for a bite before heading to our spa break down the road. Olivers is a small, cosy cafe run by a lovely couple. There's a good choice of menu offering sandwiches, panninis and cooked breakfasts. We opted for 2 breakfasts, a sausage and egg bap and a club sandwich, all with hot drinks. We paid around £6 each. All was freshly cooked and very tasty. The couple who run it are very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend Olivers for their good food.

We started out early to get to the Peak District, so planned a breakfast stop at Oliver's cafe based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed. 2 full English, an Olivers special of a double full English and an egg Benedict. It is a very small place with only 3 tables and you need to ask for the key to the toilet that is in the house next door (!), but the staff are very friendly and the prices very reasonable. Much better than a motorway services.

Very sorry to write this but felt compelled after such a shocking experience. We waited 20 minutes to be served, over an hour for our food and when the food came 2 out of 4 orders were wrong. We got charged £50 for very mediocre food. A small jacket potatoe with no side salad was £7 with 1 filling, plus then an extra £2 for a very small amount of cheese as an extra filling ! a friend ordered a Turkey and cranberry roll which was essentially a basic white roll with some butter and 2 pieces of packet Turkey on it and a side of cranberry to spread on herself. I’ve been before to this cafe and had a lovely up of tea / cake. I recommended it to 3 friends today and was quite embarrassed by how bad it was. They said they were short staffed, but the food quality and pricing does not add up either.
