Worlds most impatient bar tender and unfortunately, I think he’s the bar manager. The atmosphere is lovely here but, he is so rude it’s put me right off ever visiting again. Such a shame because it’s a great place

Very lovely beers from the local Tollgate Brewery. Very fresh and clean tasting beer with lots of options.

Serves great Ales , Qbs one of my favs. Have met some great / interesting people . Dog friendly. Best pub in Ashby . What's not to like.

Nice set up with good local beer. Seating not cushioned so a little uncomfortable. Overall a great place to meet up for a couple of beers.

Wonderful place to get a good quality drink There is a large selection of tap house ales and cider along with some spirits. With sensible prices! The small size of the venue makes it a cosy atmosphere which also welcomes dogs (but not children). There are regular visiting food vendor evenings where you can sample original food whilst supping a quality drink. One of the best places to get a drink.

Nicely refurbished from the cafe of old. Great ambient lighting and seating. Good choice of beers ciders and spirits. Roaring fire and dog friendly

Often meet friends in there. Good choice of locally produced beers by Tolgate Brewery who also own the pub. Very pleasant owner and staff. Gets rammed 4:00-7:00pm on a Friday but at other times is comfortably busy. Good to see a local business doing well in the town.

Highly recommend. The beers are great, bit also wide selection of fantastic gins and wines as well (and probably more I didn't see). Its a welcoming little place, relaxed atmosphere in a building with lots of character, will definitely be going back! Dog friendly too is a bonus

Last pub on a good pub crawl. Always struggled to get in here but it's a fantastic little place, nice log burner and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Beers also cracking and probably helped to my state of mind the day after ..

Incredible venue, wonderful cosy pub with a vast array of quality beers & ales on offer. Really well priced, service was impeccable and if you're lucky enough to grab a seat by the fire I don't think you'll be leaving in a hurry. Dog friendly which was obvious as there were several really cute dogs in here whilst we had a few drinks. Will definitely be coming back! 🙏🏻

A sanctuary in the busy market town of Ashby. The staff are really friendly and there is a great selection of beer brewed locally. Warm and cosy, you must give it a go.

Great place for a pint in Ashby. Gets a bit packed at the weekend. Probably due to lack of decent pubs on Market Street where it is unlikely a fight will break out.

A really good choice of beers and dog friendly. The hard floor makes the acoustics difficult if you struggle with your hearing. I would recommend a visit.

Lovely bar, great atmosphere, great choice of locally brewed beers. One criticism the staff need to engage with the customers rather than serve them in silence with a face like a wet weekend.

This bar is an absolute gem. Whilst I don’t drink beer the wine is lovely and there’s a great ambiance. You’re always made to feel welcome here. I would highly recommend this bar.

My favourite place to drink in Ashby. Great local beers with many visiting ales to boot. Cosy atmosphere and the scotch eggs are decent too!

My partner and I popped in for a quick visit last Saturday. Great selection of drinks and the scotch eggs were amazing. Will definitely be nipping back at some point soon

A great little pub in Ashby, and the beer is always good and changed quite frequently. Can't wait for the pop up food tents to be back.

Firstly the beer was really excellent, but was unfortunately let down on a very quiet shift by the attitude of the team. The service model wasn’t explained at the door, and we assumed due to the lack of attentiveness, that we had to go to the bar to order. When I did so, the server who was standing around, got annoyed with me and told me not to get up next time. Very difficult when the service is so inattentive.

Dark, welcoming and cosy. The beer is excellent, the atmosphere delightful and it feels like such a treat to be supping an ale in here again after the lockdown.

First time with family don't drink myself but really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service shame they don't don't do tea

A fabulous modern pub with an extensive range of high quality beers. The snack menu is also excellent with high quality food. Friendly and popular. It is a cosy bar and gets very busy at popular times. Although dog friendly it is too small for people bringing pets.

Enjoy a wide selection of ales and ciders from craft breweries. Great atmosphere and dog-friendly. You must try the Ale cake. Goes well with beer or the free coffee/tea.

Love this place, can take the dog too, does get busy tho so expect standing room only at peak times. Staff have always been knowledgeable and friendly on my visits.

Wow what a find. Walked passed this Diamond many times but finally ventured in with my wife after a trip to Leicester for a Christmas works party. So one last drink. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing choices of beers, Gins, nibbles etc. A must visit place in Ashby de la Zouch.

Great bear and atmosphere and every couple of weeks they have a street food evening just had the English Indian lady fantastic tasty food

Amazing local, better then the rest been to a few pubs in ashby but the tap has a more of a classy vibe. Lovely beer me and the partner love the beers they have on tap nice and cold and clean shiny glasses not like some of the bars around town. They also offer to buy beer and take away home with you we loved it. we will be returning again and we have heard all positive reviews about this place. Excellent customer service from the staff really cheerful and bubbly.

Not huge but this super little bar has everything you need. A really friendly atmosphere, helpful bar service and modern,contemporary yet rustic decor. Lots of choice of craft ales or perhaps a cheeky G & T. There is always a superb range of bar snacks available but last Wednesday night Mrs Patel`s street food was available from the rear of the pub. Pay separately and eat it at your seat. Absolutely delicious, fragrant, quite spicy but not blow your head off heat. Impressive and good value for money. Many thanks.

Popped in for the crafternoon tea, and seated by a most pleasant helpful staff member in the window ready for people watching.The tea contents were explained to us and allowed to choose any of the beers from the extensive selection. Sandwiches were superb and I enjoyed the pasteries locally sourced.Overall a most pleasant deviation for tea. Recommended.

Called in to Sample a couple of the ales. Cosy comfortable contemporary decor and good service. The ales were well kept with a good selection of local brews. Well worth another visit.

Unashamedly one of my local favourites. Great beer and atmosphere - if you like either of those things, recommended!! The food nights they are running are also great and always pair well with the beer/wine.

Small contemporary bar - although serving from the barrel we were only served schooners (two-thirds of a pint) at normal price for a pint making it expensive for nothing really special
