The Cutting Garden Cafe in North West Leicestershire

Very sorry to write this but felt compelled after such a shocking experience. We waited 20 minutes to be served, over an hour for our food and when the food came 2 out of 4 orders were wrong. We got charged £50 for very mediocre food. A small jacket potatoe with no side salad was £7 with 1 filling, plus then an extra £2 for a very small amount of cheese as an extra filling ! a friend ordered a Turkey and cranberry roll which was essentially a basic white roll with some butter and 2 pieces of packet Turkey on it and a side of cranberry to spread on herself. I’ve been before to this cafe and had a lovely up of tea / cake. I recommended it to 3 friends today and was quite embarrassed by how bad it was. They said they were short staffed, but the food quality and pricing does not add up either.

A lovely cafe tucked away in Appleby Magna with great food and friendly staff and not too expensive . There is a.os car parking right outside too.

Wow! What a beautiful location! Friendly staff and delicious food! If you find yourself on the A42 needing a break from driving then call here! Shame it’s not nearer home so we could visit more often! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Worth a visit!! It is a little bit of everything - flowers , ice cream, gift bags/cards and hot/cold drinks very a little of naughty alcohol!!! A walkie near by too for bird watching and Dog walking

Saw the great reviews and stopped for lunch. Spotless, welcoming, good value. Rural location with walks nearby. Lovely food.

Happened upon this cafe by chance 15.02 needing food and refreshment after delivering a vehicle on the site. First impressions were wonderful and food (all freshly prepared), drink and staff polite, friendly and helpful. If you're on tlhe M42 or thereabouts and ready for a break, this is a very well worth detour! I'll be returning in the near future with wifey since I'm keen to try the cakes that I resisted yesterday!

Amazing cafe which is cycling friendly. Friendly staff and very good cake, will keep coming back! They’ll even fill your water bottles for you.

Lovely coffee, great cakes pastries and bread. Such a sweet place and worth a visit. They ain’t half bad at flowers too. Very friendly and welcoming and they have an enormous dog play enclosure.

Lovely find on a cycle stop weekend. Good selection of drinks and cake, service was great and everything was bought to our table which was on a lovely grassed garden area. Would highly recommend

Lovely café with a friendly owner and outstanding cakes. I had the carrot cake. Dog friendly and a great stop just off the M42. A million times better than a service station!

Lovely little spot - possible a but small in winter but in the summer its very nice. Food is good quality (teacups and pot of tea are a bit on the small side) but service is nice and the staff very helpful Will definitely visit again !

This gorgeous little cafe was perfect for our catch up, it’s in a lovely secluded spot with views of the countryside. The menu is lively and we really enjoyed the food and coffee. The owner and staff were super friendly and I will be back asap ! ❤️

Perfect place for lunch, the people who run the shop went above and beyond and I will be returning with family members. This is the perfect place to bring pets and just enjoy the views. The cafe itself was stunning, and you can really tell the people who own it really care about not only the place itself but also the food and drink it puts out. 10/10 cannot fault it.

Surrounded by beautiful cut flowers and simple but stylish furniture we had a simple but lovely lunch with coffee. Huge array of homemaking very tempting. Outside and inside seating. Lovely staff. Worth the detour from the A420

The cutting Garden Cafe was beautiful inside and stunning setting outside too. Our food was delicious and a lovely treat for a Tuesday. We will definitely be returning with family and friends. Thank you for your great service and hospitality.

Probably one of the best brownies I have had in a long time. I would recommend a visit here, tucked away but easy to find.

Rode out to this cafe today, and it was utterly delightful. The staff were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food and drinks were first class and service in a very nice environment. We’ll be back soon.
