Had a nice English breakfast with a piece of cake and a drink. Food was good and enjoyed it. I think it was well priced. Was quiet but was a Friday about midday. Nice atmosphere and soft back ground music. Clean, friendly staff, good service. Well pleased with the place

The service is so friendly it feels like family, nothing is too much trouble. The food is just like you would cook at home but better. The small courtyard to the rear is a lovely place to while away a lunchbreak with friends. Our three year old granddaughter loves it too. Our dog is also able to join the family at their front seating area and is well provided for with cool water and a warm welcome. I would really recommend that you try them out.

We thought they were about to close for the day and they were, however they brought out a table for us and a pot of tea, and insisted we did not rush. Ive always been very fond of this gem of a cafe, but if I could leave a six star for service this cafe truly deserves it.

We have tried to visit this cafe for weeks so today, a dedicated trip to Coalville was made to make this visit possible. We were certainly rewarded with what we found.Instantly welcomed on entry to the cafe, we checked that electronic payment could be made. The menu is extensive, varied and so well priced. My usual problem of what to have arose at this point. Husband found prawn sandwiches, I found bacon cranberry and brie. Decaffeinated tea and specialist teas support the usual regular variety. Apple pie in the chill cabinet could not be resisted.Yes, the two pots of tea did arrive much earlier than the food, but our order was being prepared from fresh. The bacon arrived trimmed and perfectly cooked. Both orders had a good salad to the side. At this point, our teapots were topped up with hot water - so lovely and welcome.Service was happy and attentive without being obtrusive throughout our visit. Appearing to be redecorated and reopened, this cafe is well supported by apparent regulars. Those passing by were pleased to find it open again.Do make sure that if you visit the loo - all clean, thank you - visit the doorway (locked) up to the radio area. The doorway leading to the radio area has a window that reveals two walls covered with 45rpm vinyls, Polydor, CBS and Chrysalis labels and more - I just wish I could read the labels, and moreover - play the vinyls themselves! Details of Hermitage FM are shown on a small screen in the cafe.We will certainly call in here again. All good, all well priced, terrific service, fabulous food. Thank you for a lovely lunch today - you have put a completely different complexion on visiting Coalville.

Went there whilst I was visiting Coalville. Heard on the Radio on 99.2 FM about the café and popped in. Very friendly staff, with some of the staff have learning difficulties it was great they were giving a chance of being part of the community. Well done to "Sue" who keep them geed up and happy. Certainly a place I'll be visiting every time I'm in the Coalville area.

A lovely friendly cafe, always a warm friendly welcome, staff are polite and helpful, other customers welcoming too .A fantastic range of hot and cold food at good prices, served in a light and airy environment. Lots of babinets with local creative people’s work that you can buy if you like, but there’s no sales pitch at all. I brought some beautiful hand knitted poppies, with all the money going to British Legion. This is a community resource that should be valued and well used. Well worth a visit.

Hermitage fm coffee lounge is the ideal place for food and drink, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is great, and it's a good menu. My daughter and myself can recommend the seafood salad, and the latte's. If you want something to eat and drink at a reasonable price this is the place. Would certainly recommend.

Popped in here to meet up for a business meeting and was very surprised to find a radio station with a coffee lounge beneath! The slice of Victoria sponge I was served was delicious and a very generous helping - with a lovely cup of coffee in a tall glass. Would certainly call in again.

Very sorry to write this but felt compelled after such a shocking experience. We waited 20 minutes to be served, over an hour for our food and when the food came 2 out of 4 orders were wrong. We got charged £50 for very mediocre food. A small jacket potatoe with no side salad was £7 with 1 filling, plus then an extra £2 for a very small amount of cheese as an extra filling ! a friend ordered a Turkey and cranberry roll which was essentially a basic white roll with some butter and 2 pieces of packet Turkey on it and a side of cranberry to spread on herself. I’ve been before to this cafe and had a lovely up of tea / cake. I recommended it to 3 friends today and was quite embarrassed by how bad it was. They said they were short staffed, but the food quality and pricing does not add up either.

Such a homely and friendly pub Sarah and her staff are amazing they held a charity event for my daughter Daisy raising funds for a disabled bike. Everyone who I spoke to after said they’d had an amazing day a really well run and organised event as a family we can’t thank Sarah and her team enough for doing this for us 🙂🙂
