The absolute best Sunday roast I have ever had. The staff were very good and very friendly as well. The landlord was easy going and very welcoming.

Large portion of tasty broccoli/stilton quiche and jacket potato with loads of filling . Nice light airer cafe very welcome after a 2 HR drive

A nuestra llegada los 4 fuimos recibidos por un joven encantador que explicó que el café tenía poco personal. Dijimos que estaba absolutamente bien y no teníamos prisa en particular. Nos sentamos junto al río y tuvimos el beneficio de una vista de la Torre de Clifford también. Como sucedió, nuestro pedido fue tomado rápidamente y nuestras bebidas se sirvieron rápidamente. Los platos compartidos eran maravillosos y nuestro atento camarero era una delicia.

Did an oil collection for them and they looked after me with a sandwich the food was excellent but the service from the 2 ladies was exceptional 👌

¡Increíble! La comida es más que increíble! Soy vegano y tuve las tortitas veganas un día y luego el dueño hizo un aguacate extra especial en tostadas de masa madre cuando volví al día siguiente! No pensé que podría cubrir las tortitas, pero es igual de delicioso! Especialmente con el pesto vegano casero y chile fresco! Recomiendo encarecidamente si usted está en la zona de Notting Hill para el brunch! El servicio también es cálido y amable, ya que van más allá para hacerte sentir bienvenido! Además, una buena parte de la comida es orgánica.

Lovely, friendly, family run cafe serving a really good range of food. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I had the mega breakfast which was very tasty with locally sourced organic meat and the coffee was lovely.

Stopped by this cafe on my birthday which was on Easter Saturday with my family, we were in the area and wanted a quick lunch. We're a family of 4 and on arrival took the only empty remaining table in the cafe. Looked promising that it was obviously so popular, overlooked the sticky table and the floor that needs some serious cleaning TLC. Food and drink order was taken quick enough, with no mention of any issues. Drinks arrived quick enough, adults had hot drinks and kids had cans of coke. The cafe was slowly getting quieter but 45 minutes later we were still sat waiting for our lunch order. A group of elderly ladies sat at the table behind us and were told that they could only have hot drinks and cake as they weren't taking food orders at that time so the ladies promptly upped and left. We received no communication or apologies for our food taking so long. It was a 50 minute wait for it to arrive, and we're talking Toasties and jacket potatoes, it was a very basic food order. The food was ok when it arrived but the poor service, lack of communication and wait times were not acceptable .

Came for coffee and cake. My black Americano was a good strength and flavour. Partner enjoyed his cappuccino with a slice of carrot and pistachio cake. Sadly no dairy free cakes so I could not indulge. Toilet taps would benefit from a dousing of white vinegar to remove the limescale.

We stayed here while walking the ridgeway. It’s a great hotel with a nice bar and good food! Also we highly recommend Wallingford.

A lovely place that has a great atmosphere, great decor, excellent music and lovely staff. The food was perfect and the Oat milk latte is the best I’ve EVER had. (I’ve had a few!) It was my daughter’s 30th birthday and she wanted to try this place. When a member of the team discovered it was my daughter’s birthday they placed some lit birthday candles on her food. Such a nice touch. The food and drink is reasonably priced and the service was top notch too, We’ll be back!

Fabulous cafe, tasty good value food and excellent customer service. Would go there everytime on a visit to Canterbury

Visited Salty Dog yesterday. Not been for a few weeks (avoiding the school holidays). Greeted, as always, by friendly owner and ordered a bacon and egg roll and cheese wrap. Both as delicious as always. Thank you, we will be back again soon. I would not normally comment on other reviews but might I suggest to the person who knew they would need to take medication that they take a small bottle of water with them on their visits out and about (as we normally do). There is always the option to actually buy a drink too. Shouldn't be relying on others to provide what you can do for yourself with just a little thought beforehand.
