Fabulous Sunday lunch found a little gem plenty of food three meats included in price which was so reasonable great atmosphere went another night for dinner again wasn’t disappointed we were two couples visiting Brixham again in August we know were we will be having Sunday lunch lovely staff so friendly

I visited The Burton for a Sunday carvery and so glad I did. It was a fabulous spread tasted delicious and great value for money, would highly recommend going. Staff very friendly lovely atmosphere well worth a visit. Just remember to book in advance

Phoned on the off chance of a Sunday lunch & they fitted us in Fabulous carvery Choice of meats & lots of veg on offer Not the poshest place good down to earth people, very friendly At £9 each we left well fed & happy General menu looked good to so we will certainly visit again

The worst Christmas meal I have ever had. Went with friends, first impressions not good but told the food was nice so thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt. Booked for 1pm, got there for 12:50 they was still setting up the tables 🤬 we waited until after 2pm for starter pate 1 slice and half a slice of bread with lettuce thrown on, disgusting brought by men who looked liked they needed to wash. 1 hour later the carvery, man cutting meat was sweaty and wiped his face on a tee towel 🤢. 1 hour later the desert to be told what we had pre ordered wasn't available. Worst experience ever, never go in there again a waist of 80 pounds

Lunch was absolutely fab! Chicken and ham pie with chips and peas. Husband has scampi. Both were excellent quality. V friendly place and they welcome dogs. Perfect!

What an absolute cracker this establishment is . Landlady =lovely, friendly. Locals =friendly, welcoming .Food=really nice at very reasonable prices . Loved the music bingo . All my family enjoyed the night. Thankyou the Burton .

On the first night of our holiday we popped to The Burton so that we knew where it was for our lunch the next day. To our surprise they had live music on which we could easily hear from the seats outside (it was warm). My husband was served quickly at the bar despite it being busy and the price of the drinks were very reasonable. We also met some very nice, if not slightly squiffy locals, who made us feel welcome. The next day we went back for our pre-booked carvery. The food was delicious and there was lots of it. As per the usual, the meat (and yorkie) was dished up and then you can add as much or as little of the veg, stuffing, pots etc to your plate. What was unusual here though was the amount of meat we were given by the very nice lady serving it - no single slices of meat here, even when some of our party wanted more than one type. She was very generous with the portions so you don't feel cheated in the slightest. That with the unlimited accompaniments (only limited in the sense that it has to fit on your plate) made for one of the best, and cheapest, carveries we have ever had. As a result I would strongly recommend going here especially if you want a carvery (you may need to book) as you are unlikely to get better elsewhere.

Very impressed, booked up after someone recommended coming in for a Sunday lunch. It’s a carvery and there lots of different veg options including dauphinois potatoes. Food was all well cooked and very tasty.

Absolutely beautiful steak cooked to perfection I would highly recommend we have been living in Brixham for 9 years and the best steak we have ever had !

Went for a birthday party in the garden. Amazing night BBQ and Buffet, and music. Great food and a great night had by all. Band was also playing in the main pub which we all went to see when it got cooler out side. Busy pub. Went back following day for the Sunday Carvery which was fantastic again very busy. We called in for some food as we were staying just down the road. Good hearty portions and great value, and the dog got treated too!!

Great traditional country style pub away from the tourist crowds. Good selection of food at vary price points. Food is excellent and not pricy, great drink selection at a good price. Staff are helpful and cheery.

Noticed this pub whilst walking into the town every day so we decided to give it a try and so glad we did. Food very good value for money. Nice pub meals and drinks very cheap. Staff very friendly and invited us to join in with a quiz night. Really enjoyed ourselves as a family and perfect for the dogs too. Wish we had tried at the beginning of the week. Will definately return to this pub on our next visit to Brixham

Visited this establishment whilst on holiday in Brigham after reading positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Wish we hadn't bothered. Yes, the staff were welcoming and the food was (very) cheap but is was very sub- standard. The ribeye steak was crispy on the outside and the middle was raw. Think everything is either reheated in the microwave or deep fat fried. Probably the worst pub grub we have had in a very long time.

As the title says this little gem of a pub does great value meals. There is an excellent choice of meals. We had the Cottage pie with salad and the melted chicken with salad. Both meals were excellent and the salad accompanying the meals was well above the average that you normally get. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We visited for Sunday lunch carvery and glad we did! It's approx 15 mins flat walk (incline on the last 2mins) from the harbour. This is a kid and dog friendly pub. Staff are friendly and the locals welcoming. The carvery was lovely with a good variety of vegetables and none of which were dried up which you often get in carvery's. There is very limited parking but there are a couple of side streets, although these are steep. One is right next to the pub so the less able bodied could be dropped off at the bottom. We've visited Brixham for years and this is definitely the best carvery for choice? Quality and money.

Went here first time as closest to where we were staying. Found great homemade food at great prices, with welcoming staff. Ended up going back two more times and each time, still great!!!

Wanted a change from fish, excellent home cooked Sunday carvery at an extremely good price compared with the more expensive establishments around the harbour. Great home cooked daily menu and used by locals, which is always a good sign.

A lovely meal and great service. Our only criticism is that the pub had no control over the smokers. This was like stepping back in time where pubs smelt of cigarettes.
