Great drinks and cheap. Fast service. Great atmosphere. We recommend.

This is my go to place. Absolutely love it. I go to Devon numerous times a year and this is always on my list of places to go. Always clean and drinks are delicious. Visited today with family, walked in and a smell hit me..can only describe it as a dirty smell and then was passed a drink with a hair on the glass. Please sort this out. Beautiful place beautiful location

Didn't eat here but the cocktails were fantastic! Great views sat by the sea in the sunshine :) Would highly recommend.

Great place if you don't mind being surrounded by nub ends outside in the seating area. What Hope is there when the staff litter the fireexit with nub ends too. Sort it out and I shall remove this review.

We had another brilliant night at the Mermaid quiz night on Wednesday. Kevin does a great job of keeping everyone entertained and the guys behind the bar do a fab job looking after everyone. Great mixture of questions and it's even better when you win......! Keep up the good work all!

Lovely place to sit and chill and have a good chat. Sat on the chairs outside looking out to the harbour and it was beautiful. Staff absolutely amazing. So welcoming and kind. Beer choice very good and the music in the background was on point.

1. Does anybody ever clear the tables here. Or is it too much trouble.? Very expensive and abysmal service.. don't think I'll bother again.

Quite a trendy cocktail bar right on the harbour front. Good range of cocktails and nice manager. The decor is good and quirky. The cleanliness of the bar could be improved, the first chair we sat on had a carpet of dog hair underneath it and on another evening when the manager was absent there were lots of tables with empty glasses left on them. Lovely bar for a pre or post dinner drink.

Beautiful spot for a few drinks.

Wine tasted like paint stipper and got worse the further down you got, but @£5 a glass we drank it. Oh yeah might be an idea to actually wash your glasses, as they were manky. Won't be returning.

We have visited The mermaid many times and never been disappointed. The staff are amazing especially Cal who made us feel welcome and relaxed . Nice to have a chat while looking out the best view you can get . The cocktail are amazing but so is the coffee . Can’t wait to come back again

First visit we were greeted with loud dance music (late afternoon) so we left 😂😂 Second visit we were greeted by a blue haired barman who served us lovely cocktails.....much better!!

Looking for a cocktail bar in Brixham, the Mermaid is your perfect choice. Try and get a table at the front with great views across the harbour. A very busy place so choice of time to drink is important. Staff were excellent and we were served drinks super quick. Great music and atmosphere, it was all over so quickly. 10/10

Nice bar with a bit of atmosphere. Good selection of drinks with friendly bar staff. Only fault being the toilets and stupid small sinks. Not all patrons are good as we had an umbrella stolen from beside our table.

Great little bar. Bar staff polite, rushing around trying there best to serve us. Drinks menu was excellent according to the ladies in our group. Cocktails and more cocktails. Great selection of beers and ciders too. Toilets clean and compact. Atmosphere the music was brilliant. Will definitely visit you again.

Down from Essex visiting Brixham for the weekend, brought the dog with us so wasn’t expecting anywhere to be available for drinks with the dog inside but, The Mermaid couldn’t have been more welcoming! Not only did they allow our little pooch inside and provide him with a dog bowl and treats but Kevin and the team couldnt have been more welcoming to us. We may have stayed for one too many due to the friendly atmosphere and would highly recommend, will defiantly be returning

We had a wonderful afternoon at The Mermaid for a few drinks on a sunny Sunday in Feb. Kevin and the team looked after us (me, my partner and our dog) and really made us feel very welcome. It’s a shame that we’re heading back to London tomorrow as we would have loved to spend more time at The Mermaid looking at the stunning views, drinking the fabulous cocktails and taking in the warm hospitality. Thanks team Mermaid!

This company has the most friendly and chatty bartenders somewhere I felt so comfortable going In alone, kwvin and Daniel were super friendly . Great atmosphere even during the week when it’s quiet the staff are super attentive and make you feel welcome great drinks and lovely music

What a little treasure to be found in Brixham Harbour. On the Main harbour by the ship and what a true delight from the moment you walk in with Kevin to greet you, your made to feel special, welcomed and generally cherished! To top it off an amazing espresso martini or 3 to end your Saturday afternoon. Nothing can beat the service or welcome. I can’t wait to come back in June already! See you guys soon. Brixham has our heart always and now the Mermaid too.

Staying in Brixham fir a week. Went for an early evening walk, and saw the mermaid. Looked lovey from the outside so thought we woukd go in and have a drink. The decor was brilliant, and service at the bar was excellent. Sat at a table next to the window. The manager came over to ask if everything was ok. He stayed and chatted for a while, telling us about the other places that are part of the group. I have to say that is what I would call excellent customer service. Thank you Kevin. We will be back again for sure.

Excellent service, I ordered a soda and lime, first time outside of a 5 start hotel have I been asked if I would like freshly squeezed lime not out of a bottle. Best soda and lime I have ever had. Brilliant decor and music, very clean. Definitely will be going back, try a cocktail, when I don't have to drive.

We really enjoy going to the Mermaid, great atmosphere and love the cocktails. Have given this 3 stars as on both Friday and Saturday night the foul language used by the bar staff was bad to say the least. The manager was present and in retrospect I should have said something. Keep it professional guys!

I absolutely loved there Christmas cocktails I wasn’t sure what I would like so I said I like my whiskies and sweeties, so Kevin recommended a cocktail and it was amazing, my partner had the Black Forest martini and it tasted just like the cake . A big thank you to Kevin and Grace for your service I will be back soon, friendly as always

Great place for a drink looking over the harbour

Popped in for a couple of drinks as Family.. Made to feel really welcoming,Cocktails were superb and the general feel about the place ticked all the boxes.. Definitely going back next time we are down

Brilliant place! Ten of us went to The Mermaid early evening today and we couldn’t have been more welcomed. Three generations of family and our dog, having started our evening elsewhere where we had an awful customer service experience, staff at the mermaid couldn’t have been more different, we had bought a cake for my father in laws birthday they didn’t hesitate in lending us a knife and even offered to play happy birthday. It’s clear the mermaid is a versatile place to be, great tunes, a mixture of cocktails, mocktails, hot drinks lovely bar snacks there was even snacks for the dog!! We will definitely be returning, thank you for being so kind 💗

Came into the mermaid for some drinks with friend. Had a few cocktails in such a relaxed and tasteful atmosphere. Grace and Anne Marie were very friendly and helpful, and really knew their stuff when it came to recommending cocktails. These girls need a payrise! Will be back for more drinks for definite! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow! Walking around Brixham on Sunday morning we couldn’t miss the spectacular entrance to the Mermaid Bar. The side windows were full of water and bubbles changing colour ! We felt we should go in and have a look around. So glad we did. We ordered cocktails for myself and daughter and ciders for the men, and pleasantly surprised at the best service from “Will”. A very friendly, likeable young man with interesting conversation. Think we were first customers of the day and so were able to choose comfy leather armchairs by the open front windows. The bar has been recently changed to include the mermaid theme and the bar is actually the shape of a boat. It’s amazing. Even the ladies toilet is very impressive. We didn’t want to leave. One of the best bars we’ve been in.

Enjoyed the music. Decor well thought out and interesting, especially the bubble wall at the entrance which is very impressive ! Both guys behind the bar were professional and organised, especially the older of the two guys which I presume was the manager. Good selection of drinks and cocktails and price as expected. I had my usual tipple and ordered a Pina Colada for my wife and she said it was the nicest she'd ever had. Made by the youngest guy behind the bar with long hair, who was enthusiastic and chatty and made the cocktail with flair. Will definitely be paying another visit before the end of our holiday. Definitely recommend this gem of Brixham.

The staff are absolutely fantastic, the cocktails are out of this world. Its an absolute must when in brixham. The view is a huge addition.

What a bar!!!! The decor was a delight to the eyes..... as was the fabulous picture window!!! The cider was cool, the sun was warm in the outside harbourside seating and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend a stop off at this premium venue.

We definitely enjoyed our visit to 'The Mermaid' Brixham. All staff were friendly and definitely knew their stuff. The high energy long haired guy behind the bar looking like a '80's Rock Star' was an added bonus !! He made us ladies want to buy...

Went at 6pm for pre-dinner drinks, music was a little loud making it difficult to hold a conversation.

The atmosphere and staff are great, we visited most days during our week long stay in Brixham and loved it every time. Would highly recommend for a nice drink and chill time

Very new and trendy right on the quayside

The guys in here , Kevin and the rest of the team ,came to our rescue when we got locked out of our holiday cottage ,the nicest most freindliest people ever ,,as for the Bar ,absolutely stunning ,,none of us are drinkers ,so had coffee...

We loved the decor which drew us in. Kevin and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our unique drinks order. We all had a good laugh. Due to time constraints we were unable to eat. Will definitely go back. Thank you Team Mermaid

Spent a few days in Brixham and the Mermaid is well worth a visit lovely outdoors seating area and great cocktails , the venue itself is superbly furnished with fantastic jelly fish lights

Called here everyday for drinks outside by the harbour. Tables are cleaned regularly by friendly staff, the manager is polite and chatty.

It was our anniversary so thought before our meal we would go for cocktails at the very popular and busy Mermaid. Bloody Mary was excellent, nice and spicy as it should be. A great place for drinks - not cheap but we’ll worth a visit.

We visited numerous times. Worth a visit just to see the decoration. Twice as a couple and once with kids. Music is fun and 90s/naughties. Understandly slower getting drinks during busy times but Cocktails are lovely and staff very friendly.

Beer had gone off but staff adamant it was ok. Blue anchor round corner served same beer in excellent condition… avoid mermaid like the plague…

Had a huge poo in the sink and was farting at the bar and blaming it on other people. Decent long island iced tea too. All in all a great night out. Cheers 👍🚀🚀

Brilliant upgrade to what it was . Cocktail bars aren't my thing, but the good lady wanted to go as our holiday apartment is on the harbour, so we get the same views. But I was impressed with the relaxed atmosphere and the selection of drinks other than cocktails all i can say is. Cheers 🍻

Great bar with friendly staff. Really nice situe on the harbourside and pretty much the only place with an outside space. Certainly nicer than the old style "pubs" in town, some of which were actually quite run down and shall I say "aromatic"

Called in to this quirky place having found it on Google Cocktails were amazing and reasonably priced very varied menu lots to choose from, plus beers spirits wines etc, staff very friendly and helpful with drinks choices. Will definitely be back when next in Brixham.

Visited here several times during our short stay, fantastic cocktails, some of which were the best we’ve had. We loved sitting at the front window watching the wotld go by. Our 5 year old was fully occupied by the bubble display by the entrance. Great...

An awesome cocktail bar with beautiful views across the harbour. Helpful and friendly staff with beautiful furnishings and comfortable seating. Just right for enjoying a cocktail while watching the sun set of the harbour. The toilets were nice and clean. And have a cool little Japanese style sink/toilet combo.. which was fun to use. Hehe.

Visited when we were in Brixham last week, great choice of drinks and cocktails are well made and reasonably priced! Inside of bar is very modern and decor is fab! Will definitely visit again next time we are in Torbay!

Need more people to clean tables and mop the floor. Looked a bit trashed and it was only 8 in the evening.

Dropped in to The Mermaid when walking past doing the South West Coastal Path. Had a couple of beers to power us on and noticed the cocktail menu with most under £8, so went back that evening. Very friendly. Worth a visit
